"Eventually," Yukiko half-agreed. She wouldn't call four or so years "a little while," but she was healing. Slowly but steadily. True, the thought would always be a sore spot with her, but overall the Ookami thought she could move past it... She was already starting to forget what her father's voice sounded like... Although as to whether or not that was a good thing, Yukiko was a little uncertain.
There was a sudden lurching as the police cruiser came to a halt. The Ookami looked out of her window, blinking in suprise when she realized they were in front of the police station. It had honestly felt like they'd only be driving a few minutes... The trip had certainly been fast...

Jamie was jerked in his seat a little as they halted, it seemed that Meyers was still a little impatient when it came to stopping and starting and driving in general. No big deal really, although he didn't look forward to getting back into the rain again. "Guess this is our stop..." He said as the detective opened the door of Yuki with her umbrella at the ready.
"Alright, c'mon out." Detective Meyers was trying to restrain a smile and a giggle at their hair, it was ridiculous, and Jamie certainly hadn't been kidding.

Yukiko quietly thanked the detective as she stepped out of the car, gratefully taking shelter from the steadily growing downpour beneath the umbrella. She rapidly made an attempt to fix her hair, tussling it with her fingers in hopes of making the madness look more like organized chaos. No such luck. Maybe she'd braid it in a bit to restratin it... For the moment she just put her hood back up. That'd hide her mass of brown tangles for the time being.

Jamie was, again, kept JUST out of the range of the umbrella and shivered. "If I catch pneumonia, I'm blaming you." He shot toward the detective.
"I can live with that. Come on, we're almost there and you can last a few more seconds." A smirk was allowed to grace her features, the smile's more pompous-looking older brother seemed a bit more fitting on her face.

Yukiko quickly followed Detective Meyers into the building, feeling a bit chilly herself. She hoped they'd find Jamie a shirt or something soon. He was a tough looking guy, but even strong people could get sick... And she would feel a little guility if he did. In some way, the Ookami reasoned that such a thing happened had to be at least partially her fault.
"What're we suppossed to do once we're inside?" She asked the older woman, curious in her eyes this time, not worry.

"You'll both have to wait in one of our interrogation rooms, just to make sure you're not in anyone's way, not to actually interrogate you. Once I find our friendly neighborhood Irishman a shirt I or one of the other officers or Detectives will ask you some questions to get a formal statement written up." Detective Meyers' summarized for the teen, Jamie... probably knew all of this already.
Jamie sighed as they reached the door, his hair had been flattened a little by the downpour, but not much, and the heat from inside was welcomed.

"Oh, okay," the Ookami murmured softly. That didn't sound too bad. She'd been kind of afraid someone might start accusing them of something, like in all those crime shows. As long as no one was suspecting her of anything, Yukiko was happy.
Despite being inside, she didn't lower her hood. Her hair was probably still insane-looking, and she didn't really want anyone else taking notice. Even though she was feeling a bit more cheerful, Yukiko still had the innate need to maintain at least a shred of her pride.
