Matsuda scratched his head a little as they entered the cafeteria. "Only when it's necessary." he explained. "I don't do it for fun, just when my friends are in trouble and all." he smiled sheepishly. "My sister says I'm a little too protective but I don't see how."
He went to grab two trays, one for him and Aiden, and looked back at him. "Why ya ask?"

Aiden shrugged his good shoulder. "Well I was thinking that maybe you could teach me how ta fight?" He spied a plate of pancakes and put them on the tray. The nurses had brought him some a few times, and he knew he liked them. He didn't want to waste anything. "You know, when I get better and stuff..."

Matsuda blinked a little. "Er... I'm not that good, tell ya the truth." he said, a little embarrassed. "Most of my fighting just comes out when I'm pissed off." And really, how could he teach someone how to fight when he didn't even like fighting in the first place? Like he said, he only did it when he thought necessary...
He then remembered Hotaru telling him about Eva's training. From what he heard, the blond Tora was pretty harsh when it came to training people. Then again, if Hotaru took take it, so could Aiden, right? "But Eva's taught a few people herself, I believe. You could always ask her next time she's around." he suggested. "Her brother is your doctor sorta, so you might get to talk to her while you're still here and all."

Aiden blinked. "You sure she won't mind?" Eva hadn't been entirely cordial, rather gruff, actually. Though, he supposed that might actually help with the training. It wouldn't seem right if Eva was at all polite, actually... something about that just didn't seem to fit. A polite Eva seemed laughable, really. He was then pretty sure that the Tora really wouldn't mind at all. Another hunch, he guessed. He nodded to Matsuda as he finished the thoughts. "I'll ask her, then."

Matsuda grinned a little. "Sounds good." he said, looking down at his empty tray. "Oh, that's right..." he muttered, putting it back in the stack with all the other trays. "Forgot I ate already." he did grab a bottled water, however. He was getting a little thirsty.
"You all set there?" he asked his friend, referring to his food. There wasn't too many people in the cafeteria, so finding a place to sit wouldn't be hard.

Aiden grabbed an apple and a water as well and nodded. One of these days he'd have to get around to trying coffee, but the nurses had been adamant that caffeine along with his medicine was a bad idea and that if he tried it they would, 'personally see to it he was eating through a tube.' Though, the line had been delivered a tad jokingly. Hippocratic oath, he guessed. "I'm good." He said.

Matsuda nodded, finding a table not too far and took a seat. "So how long do ya gotta stay here ya think? Doctor tell you or anything?" he asked curiously. He had already planned on Aiden meeting Madoka at some point in time, but they really couldn't do that until he was up and ready to leave the hospital. He hoped it was soon, Doka hadn't exactly been the nicest person since she got out of the hospital herself. Maybe seeing Aiden again would change that?

Aiden began eating, the pancakes weren't too difficult despite only having one usable arm. He gave a shrug. "They said a week at least, last time I checked with 'em." And he would be sure that he got out then, even if he wasn't at his best. The inaction was driving him mad. Sure, he got to sleep and eat and be waited on, but it was getting dull and slightly annoying. He wanted to go... well, home he guessed. Wherever home was.

The blond nodded and took a drink from the bottled water. "Cool." he said. "I'll show ya around HQ when ya get out, and I'll make sure you and Madoka get to meet if that's fine with you." He was pretty sure Aiden wouldn't mind, almost positive actually. What better way for him to recall a few memories than hanging out with a few more people? As long as Madoka knew what to bring up and what to keep quiet about, it sounded pretty good to him.

Aiden smiled. "Thanks, Matsu." He said, pretty happy. At least he had something to look forward to when he got out of here. He'd probably stay at the Headquarters, he supposed. He'd have to get a job or something too... though, living with the clans seemed alright. Free room and board and food (or was food already included in room and board? He wasn't sure.) was actually a pretty good deal. Maybe he'd just work on fighting first. He could always win a competition or something...

Matsuda grinned a little in return. "No problem, it's what I'm here for." His mind jumped back to when Mr. King had asked him to explain how the two became friends, and he suddenly wondered if Aiden had heard any of that. "Hey, um, did you happen to over hear me explaining to my uncle how me and you became friends in the first place?" he asked him, truly curious. He wondered if Aiden could remember any of that in the first place.

Aiden raised and shook his hand a little, indicating a 'sort of' since he had a bite of pancake in his mouth. Swallowing he asked, "I got something about a mutual friend, but that's it." Not too much. "Ya mind telling the story again?" He almost felt like a little kid asking it like that...

Matsuda scratched the back of his head a little awkwardly. "Well..." he began a little hesitant. "To be honest, we kinda use to hate each other. Don't ask me why, we just..." he shrugged. "Didn't get along. Anyway, I came in to visit Madoka when you brought her here, and we both sorta agreed that we wouldn't fight around her."
The blond took another gulp of the water before continuing. "So we got to talking after 'Doka fell asleep and sorta improved each other in our books." he laughed a little. "So, that's the story!" he ended pretty childishly. God, that must have sounded cheesy to him, but hey, it was the truth. Maybe not the entire truth, but the truth, nonetheless.

Aiden listened attentively, but couldn't help but give a little laughter as the elder Ookami finished. "You suck at telling stories, Matsu." He said through the laughter before moving onto the apple happily.

"Hey!" exclaimed the older with a grin. "It's all true, I don't gotta make it sound all fairy tale like if I don't want to." he laughed a little more. "But seriously, we use to hate each other. You even knocked out my dad when you were trying to pick a fight with me once." Matsuda actually liked to brag about that when the opportunity came up(which it rarely did). He hadn't seen someone beat the crap out of his father like that before, the bastard had it coming to him. "Don't worry though, damn bastard deserved it." he took another drink of his water.
