Aiden shrugged. "You two were doin' and awful lotta yelling, it was kinda hard to stay asleep." Especially when he had done almost nothing BUT sleep in the past few days. His stomach gave a rumble, but he figured it was ignorable for awhile. If Matsuda left he'd be alone, hungry, and left with questions. A wholesomely unpleasant combination. He drew back into his bank of what he had heard and sifted through it for half a moment. "Who's Jack?" Was it someone he knew? It had sounded like that. Maybe whoever the guy was he could help with his memory?

Matsuda blinked. "Cousin." he replied. "You met him a couple times, nothing too big though." he paused to try coming up with more to say, but tried to make it look as normal as possible so Aiden wouldn't get suspicious. "He's leaving the town with my uncle, but he heard about your condition and felt pretty bad for you." He figured that would be good enough. He couldn't let Aiden know he had a brother, as much as it pained him to do so.

Aiden frowned a little. "Oh, alright." He was hoping it would trigger something, but no such luck. A great deal of his life was blocked off, he knew that, but it didn't stop him from hoping. He wanted to just maybe remember his family at least, and why they left the city and he stayed behind... And he might have wanted to remember his childhood, and how he met the people he now knew...
Oh who was he kidding? He wanted to remember everything. It couldn't have been perfect (he didn't think anyone's life was) but it was HIS life, and he didn't know it at all... The thought was a tad depressing...
Also, what were those 'episodes' that Matsuda's uncle had mentioned? The giant Ookami was curious but refrained from asking. He had a hunch that Matsuda wouldn't be able to tell him much. Just a hunch, and he could always ask later.
His stomach gave another growl, this time louder and more insistent. Aiden didn't appear to register it, to anyone looking in on him, he would look like he was trying very very hard to work out a riddle. Lips almost moving to repeat what he had heard, as if it would help, then stopping right before.

Matsuda was silent for a moment, giving Aiden time to think to himself for a while. When he heard the brunette's stomach growl however, he couldn't help but laugh slightly. "I can call a nurse or someone to see about bringing food in for you." he told him, still grinning a little.

Aiden's cheeks colored slightly at his friend's laugh, but he shook his head. "I wanna try and walk again." He couldn't just stay cooped up in bed, he was out of things to do! If he could go even a few steps he'd be satisfied, if he could make it to the cafeteria... well, he'd figure that out later. The Ookami at least wanted to try, he needed to. He wanted to see how far he could go this time. If he needed more rest, he would, but not until he knew what he could do.

Matsuda nodded, still grinning a little. "Alright then." he said, standing up from his seat and walking over to the side of his bed. "Need any help?" he asked, holding out a hand for him.

Aiden sighed. "A little." Getting up would be the hard part, after he got used to standing he was pretty sure he could walk for a bit. His legs didn't feel as bad as they had that first day. He took Matsuda's hand and pulled himself to his feet, his grip tightened unconsciously as he tried desperately not to fall. It certainly didn't hurt as much, just a dull throb now (though that could have been left over from the pain medication), it was his balance that he was worried about. He had been sitting for too long.
After a few moments he released Matsuda's hand. "...Sorry 'bout that." He mumbled.

Matsuda didn't mind the hold on his hand tightening, it felt about as tight as when he took Hotaru's hands when the doctor was cleaning her scars a while back. He made sure his friend was balanced for a moment before replying.
"Nah, it's cool." he assured him. "My sister's almost about as strong as you, so I'm use to it." A little mentioning of his sister wouldn't be too bad, right? If Aiden asked about her out of curiosity, her could always say it was Naomi instead. "Think you're good to walk around?"

Aiden blinked, "You have a sister?" He asked as he took a small step toward the door. The IV had been taken out once he woke up, and he had been given injections or pills for medication. He was thankful, he could move around and he didn't have a long-ass needle sticking into his arm. His leg held, though the throbbing persisted, and he took another step as he gained confidence.

Matsuda walked along with Aiden in case he were to trip or lose balance any time soon. "Yeah." he said, purposely not going too deep into it. "Don't think you've met her though, she's not in Ookami."

"Oh," Aiden said simply, deciding that now wasn't the time to pry. It was the time for food. The Ookami's reached the door and Aiden opened it with his good arm, the other was still in a sling, though it was close to fully healing.
It was only once he stepped outside that he realized he wasn't in his element. For the past... how long HAD it been, anyway? He had only really known the room before this... and what the window had shown... it was a bit.... not terrifying, but perhaps a little intimidating. Aiden truly knew nothing about this place, and it made him feel very small. "Uh... Matsu? Which way to the cafeteria?"

The blond blinked for a moment, that was right, Aiden hadn't been out of his room since he'd been here. "C'mon, it's this way." he said, pointing in the direction they needed to go. "I know this hospital like the back of my hand, so as long as you're with me you won't get lost." he grinned, amused. He wasn't use to seeing Aiden so clueless, it was actually pretty funny.

Aiden blinked. "You come here that often?" He asked, a bit puzzled. How often was Matsuda here for him to know the place so well? It was a bit odd to Aiden, who just wanted to get out of here as fast as he could, of course, he didn't know enough people to for a good opinion on what was odd or not. All he knew about the rest of the world was through Matsu, Eva, Xion, Locke, and what he could see out of his window.

Matsuda nodded. "Between my childhood and teenage years getting into fights and my girlfriend being a nurse up here, I come here at least every week it seems." he told him, turning at a corner and entering another hall. He was starting to smell the food a little now.

Aiden nodded, that made sense. Though he found it weird that all of his friends seemed to fight one way or another. Well, he wasn't too sure about Xion, but Locke and Matsuda did... Maybe he sparred with them? He figured he might as well re-learn how to fight, if it was such a big part of his life before then who knew what he could recall if he did it. Plus, it sounded cool. Might as well make sure Matsuda still knew how to fight before he asked for the favor. "D'ya still fight?" The smell of the food was almost intoxicating...
