The blond sighed loudly, regretting her choice of adventure for the day. It was one of the few times she wasn't with West, and she honestly wasn't use to it. It gave her a lot of free time, so she decided to take a walk in the forest and get a little familiar with the place. Though in the process she kinda got lost...
"Hello?" she called out, hoping that someone, ANYONE would hear her. "Can somebody help me?" she didn't want to end up being alone in the forest... it was getting a little dark, and she didn't know what kind of animals lurk there at night.

The forest would be the last place she would 'happen' upon me, Kaito thought to himself as he strode through the thick rows of trees. The "she" he was referring to was, naturally, Yukiko. It wasn't that he disliked his sister (he was never going to get used to calling her that), but she had a nasty habit of showing up wherever he was the moment he set foot outside. Needless to say, he needed a break. Hence the spooky walk at twilight.
Kaito was about to turn back for the night when he heard a voice. It was faint, but loud enough to cause the Tora boy to pause and listen. He stood still for a moment and then headed towards the sound. He wasn't sure why, but something (some sort of man-instinct perhaps?) was telling him to.
That was when he saw the girl; clearly worried and very clearly lost.
"Bit late for a walk," the blue-haired Tora chimed and he strode towards her, "don't you think?"

Ayumu jumped, slightly surprised when she heard a reply. She let out a small sigh of relief when she noticed her clanmate. "I actually started earlier today..." she admitted, scratching her cheek shyly. "Umm... You're the guy from the store, aren't you?" she asked him, remembering when her and Kyou had ran into him and his sister. "Kaito, that's your name, right?" she was normally good with names, so she knew she was probably right, though it never hurt to make sure. "What are you doing out here so late yourself?"

"I was indulging in some early-evening solitude when I heard your distress calls." He offered a rare half grin and there was some semblance of emotion in his dark eyes. "Despite my shady exterior I can honestly say my past times are all completely legal." Kaito glanced back over his shoulder for a moment before continuing.
"So am I right to assume you got lost? You don't really strike me as the type to walk alone in the woods at night."

Ayumu giggled a little and nodded, blushing a little for some odd reason. "Unfortunately, yes, I'm lost." she told him, rubbing her arm a little. "Today's one of the rare times me and my brother aren't together, so I decided to explore." she laughed a little more. "And, well, you see where that got me."
The painter looked around, getting a little paranoid that something might come up out of nowhere. "S-so I'm guessing you know your way around here...?" she asked, trying(and failing) to hide just how worried she was beginning to get. Acting never did fall under her list of talents.

Did Kaito know his way around? The honest answer was no. And although he usually peferred to call things as he saw them, the Tora was exactly in favor of freaking the already-nervous girl out either.
"I have a good idea." Well, it was a forest. On way or another they'd end up somewhere. And from that somewhere Kaito could navigate.

The blond calmed down a bit at the answer she got. "Alright, that's good." she smiled. Well, she couldn't get anymore lost than she was now, and seeing as though she had someone with her now, it should make things a lot easier for her instead of continuing to wonder the forest alone. "Well, lead the way then." she said, being in a much better mood than she was just a few seconds ago.

Right then. Where to start? The logical thing, Kaito suppossed, was to start back the way he had come. Like Hansel and Gretel with an invisible trail of bread crums.
"Alright. This way." Kaito nodded his head in the direction they'd be traveling and then starting walking at a fairly leisurely pace. He glanced over at Ayumu for a moment to make sure she had followed.
"Someone should really make a map of this place," the Tora murmured cooly. But of course, no one had ever been logical enough to think of that. No one ever was.

Ayumu followed after him, nodding when he made the map comment. "You're right, it'd make things a lot easier." she agreed, looking all around them. It was getting really dark now...
Fearing that she'd lose where her guide was, she moved a little to where she was walking closer to his side. "Sooo, aside from walking around the forest, what kind of stuff do you normally do for fun?" she asked him, deciding to make conversation and try to get to know him a little more.

"I'm not really sure," the Tora murmured after a thoughtful pause. He really hadn't settled and found a "place" in this new life of his quite yet. Kaito didn't even really know why he'd stopped here in the first place. "Before I moved into the city I ran wild with a group of teenage rebel rousers. Now I wander around and play guitar like some sort of nomadic hippy."
Just like your father, a tiny voice called from the back of his mind. Kaito inwardly glowered (though on the outside he was stagnant). He was nothing like his father, and never would he want to be; even if he was the only one who didn't see the man as some sort of god.

Ayumu listened, though one part in particular caught her attention. "Guitar?" she asked, smiling a little more. "You do look like a guutarist now that I think about it." she added.
The blond looked down toward her feet as she walked, looking back at Kaito a moment later. "So what sort of music do you like then?" she asked him curiously.

((OOC: Sorry the response took so long, I had a busy week ^^ ) Kaito shrugged. "I'm not too picky about the type. It's always the lyrics that decided a quality of a song, in my opinion. You can having the coolest sounding notes, but if the words are just about drugs or sex, it doesn't hold much meaning." The tall Tora glanced over at his clan mate. "So how about you? Do you like music?"

Ayumu look a moment to think. She never really payed attention to the kind of music she listened to... "Well, I guess I sorta like softer kinds of music, it's easier to paint with that kind of music playing than anything else." she shrugged. "But that's just normally when I'm painting, otherwise, I listen to a big variety." As long as it didn't have any sort of inappropriate lyrics and it wasn't too hard core, she liked it.

"Mm." Kaito paused and scanned the forest. Everything looked about the same as when they had started, only it had now grow significantly darker. Although he new the general direction in which to travel, the pair's exact location remained a mystery. Hopefully Ayumu wasn't afraid of the dark.
"This way." The blue-haired Tora stated after a brief pause. He veered right onto a well-trodden hiking trail, his boots clomping on the firm dirt.

Ayumu nodded, following Kaito just as closely as before now that it was darker. She wasn't scared of the dark by any means, she just didn't want to get lost AGAIN, especially since there was someone helping her this time.
She sighed quietly, looking over at Kaito once again. "You're not a big talker, are you?" she asked him, trying to keep from smiling a little.
