Kage noted Tekka's recognition of the two at the front, but didn't pay any attention to it. This scene was just a bit too powerful to really tear anyone's attention. At least, the giant thought so. He watched as the woman lowered her head, and the camera zoomed in to show that her shadowy face was beginning to glisten with tears. The strange blob on the opposite side of the group made some low buzzing noises as a circle of red light began to pulse rhythmically where its face would be, were it any kind of distinguishable living thing. The horned villain looked over at it and lifted a slender, claw-like hand to his chin in thought.
"Our newest... friend has a point..." he breathed. Looking back at the woman, he said, "Would you care to inform us of your troubles, my dear?" The woman's expression wasn't visible, but Kage could tell she didn't really care to. Nonetheless, she looked up.
"Maybe..." she started, her voice shaking as she managed to control a sob. "Maybe there is no escape from this place..."

Tekka blinked. So the villains had a motive other than world domination in mind, that was actually MUCH more believable than a lust for power. Especially since it was to escape from what appeared to be a massive hell-hole, the motive made SENSE.
She was liking this movie more and more, especially since she had finished the snack cake and not yet noticed she was nibbling on her fingers.

Kage had to admit that while this didn't seem like much of a superhero's tale right now, the plot was definitely going somewhere. The middle villain crossed his arms and looked deliberately down at the woman as she continued.
"I mean - we've been searching for so long now..." she wavered. "and the only evidence we've found is a folder of files vaguely confirming that Exodus was even thought of. I just don't think we can -" Before she could finish her sentence, the slim hand of the horned villain and struck the woman full in the face with enough force to knock her down. The villain lowered his arm, and the screen showed a close-up of the blood droplets that slid off of his fingers and sparkled in the firelight. The angle was shifted, and the woman's face was mostly visible, her bright blue eyes conveying a mixture of hatred and fear through a tangled curtain of gold.
"How dare you doubt me!" hissed the towering creature before her. He moved back, and a pair of tendrils shot out from his body, wrapping themselves around the woman's upper arms. They hoisted her up easily, and their owner moved closer. The woman tried to look away, but another appendage bound her head in place by the neck. A shot of the silhouette villain caught a glimpse of two red flashes where the being's eyes would be. Kage felt a surge of sympathy for the woman. She just wanted out, and her only way to that was with this horrible monster...

"Right I'm leaving.See you later" Mel said disapring Xion was sitting at the edge of her seat. The girl was now under the monsters control. This had to be the best movie ever.It wasn't one of the movies where the eyes went red and they walked around saying yes master. She was actually properly possesed. "This is soo cool" she whispered

As the creature's speech continued, the screen panned around to show the woman's face again. To Kage's surprise, her eyes did not reflect the same crimson color as her superior's, like he had imagined. It seemed the villain was using More Than Mind Control...
"I have promised you deliverance from Dark Earth, and you have already paid your price..." the thing said, swinging the woman so that she was dangling dangerously over the inferno. This allowed the audience to behold the creature's face, and it was a frightening one at that. His head was pallid and skull-like, and the empty sockets through which his red eyes peeked were mounted on bony points that rose over the rest of his face. On the mount to his right was a blazing red scar. His nose was almost nonexistent, being little more than a bump and two slits. His mouth looked like a stark line carved into his skull, but when he next spoke, it formed the words with perfect fluidity. "We will find the correct location, and proceed to use Project Exodus to escape to that other world..." The woman appeared to be calmed by this, but another shot of her face showed that she still held contempt for the being holding her. He saw this, and it only served to amuse him. "When you swore your allegiance to me and pledged your life to my service, I told you that you would taste the freedom of your people's legends." Here, the camera zoomed in to a close-up of the thing's eyes. "I have no intention of breaking that promise."

Tekka had stopped nibbling on her fingers by this point and was grinning up at the screen. A villain with honor? Whether he was going to kill the woman soon or not, that was still something new. You didn't see anyone that upheld their ends of the bargain, though it might have hadd something to do with their situation that dictated that. After all, if they hadn't been forced into these conditions perhaps they wouldn't be villains...
Then again... a skull for a face and fire for eyes were generally indicators of 'evil.'

Kage couldn't stop looking at the somewhat frightening villain, and was a bit glad when the title blotted out his face. "TEAM I: GENESIS", it said, but everyone already knew that. What they didn't know was who the writer, Jake Sexton, was. Oh, well. As the scene changed, the giant almost had to shield his eyes. The screen went instantly from scary skull face in the darkness to the peaceful sunlit scene of a neighborhood, probably in the morning. After a few shots of front yards, children playing outside, and other domestic tranquilizers, the view focused on two teenage boys. One was a redhead, and he wore a maroon sweater. The other was a bit shorter than him, had black hair with an odd sweep of tan hair that pointed backward, and wore a black muscle shirt.
"That's... the last time..." the boy in the muscle shirt panted as they ran across the street toward a school. "I let you talk me into... playing video games for four straight hours, Roy!" The redhead, apparently Roy, turned around and grinned at his friend.
"Bite me, Sam!" he breathed as he ran backwards. "You were so into the game that you were trying to beat me while I was asleep."

Tekka grinned at the appearance of the two males. Enter, the heroes. They were either that, or the first two victims, but considering that skull-face was in another world, 'victim' didn't quite seem to fit them. So it looked like the protagonists were introduced, time to set up the scene, and the school looming on the horizon was rather ideal at this point.

Kage had to admit that the banter between the two teenagers was rather humorous, not to mention that it kept just a bit of the adrenaline that ws established in the first scene. He reached inside the bag and retrieved a sandwich, consuming it slowly as the scene continued. The boys ran through the deserted hallways of the school, making amad dash for one room in particular. The shorter boy reached the door first, and he almost collapsed as he pushed it open. The classroom was of a medium size, and most of the seats were filled.
"Fashionably late as usual, Mr. Revlis?" asked the woman sitting at the front desk in front of the chalkboard. She had red hair, but it was a deep crimson, whereas Roy's was a flaming orange. Other than that, her entire face was concealed by a book. Sam scratched the back of his head sheepishly, buy Roy seemed to pay no mind. He strolled across the room and took a seat, promptly falling asleep. Sam made to follow him, but the teacher cleared her throat. "Aren't you going to take the test?" she asked in a tone that suggested that she'd be just as happy failing them both without calculation. Sam hurriedly took the sheets of paper the teacher held out and sat down, earning a grin from a tanned brunette girl next to him.

Tekka took out a bag of M and M's and began munching on the crunchy chocolate treats. Now the girl was either a best friend, love interest, or a hated enemy based on the Tora's limited knowledge of female supporting and main roles in movies. Though she could foresee the teacher either dying or being saved in the near future, mean teachers always took that role.

Kage had almost forgotten that he had even bought candy that day, but he somehow knew that if anyone would find it, Tekka would. Something about her intuitive nature and outgoing attitude made the giant quite glad that they had met. Sam didn't seem to pay any mind to ghe brunette girl, but he seemed to have a bone to pick with Roy.
"Thanks a lot, Roy..." he whispered. Without warning, the redhead snapped upward from his slumber.
"No problem, Sam!" he shouted, causing the teacher to almost lower the book that obscured her face.
"Sam, Johnny, stop talking!" she yelled, causing Roy to retreat to his sleeping positioin, and a large blonde boy to give an expression of indignance.
"I wasn't talking!" he protested, but the teacher proceeded to hit him in the head with a rubber duck. Kage practically did a spit take as he watched this. It was random enough to be funny, but the gesture was serious enough that the point was taken.
"Anyone else want to talk?" hissed the teacher. Most of the students shuddered, but Sam merely looked down and began working on his test.

Tekka blinked at the teacher's actions. It was just like her fourth grade teacher in mannerisms AND disciplinary action. A few more bits of candy disappeared down her throat as she watched the humor unfold. Apparently the director, Jake Somethingorother, had a sense of humor in him. That was a good sign.

((OOC: Jake Somethingorother? ^^ And yeah, you'd have a sense of humor too if you looked like me, dearest Tekka.))
Kage had no real idea how teachers really acted, having never gone through a formal education. Still, it seemed that although exaggerated, the woman on the screen had reacted in what would be percieved as a normal way. Sam looked to have finished the test quickly, for he sat bored at his desk until a bell rang. The scene changed, showing the hallway, but this time it was filled with all kinds of students. There were jocks flirting with cheerleaders, bullies holding up nerds, and more ordinary students just passing by. Sam was asking Roy something about lunch when a girl with bright teal hair snuck up from behind them and jumped onto the shorter boy's back. She looked a lot like the live-action personification of any given anime girl, dressed in a black jacket and pink midriff shirt, along with a plaid skirt and platform shoes. Kage had to smile at her entrance; it seemed a lot like something Tekka might do.

((OOC: *shrugs* Well, I never remember the names of directors when I'm watching a movie. ^^" Figured that's about as close as I'd ever get to remembering the name while watching.))
Tekka paused in her candy munching when the new girl came onto the scene. The blond was astonished by how similar the teal-haired girl was to herself, though the crazy and fun-loving sort of girl always seemed to be able to connect best with guys...
The little Tora made a mental note to look into a couple of psychology textbooks later. See if there was any study on that sort of thing.

Kage looked down and noticed how Tekka had stopped eating candy for a moment. Truely, that was a remarkable phenomenon. Perhaps his best friend had also seen the similarity.
"Hey, handsome!" the girl shouted happily. "Working on anything interesting lately?" Sam rolled his eyes and attempted feebly to shake the girl off.
"I thought you knew by now that if flattery didn't work a year ago, it wouldn't work now, Abby..." he said, his voice half-irritable, half-fondness for the outgoing addition to the scene. She recoiled, pushing Sam away and giving off a sound of disappointment.
"I was kidding, Sam!" she insisted. "Geez, can't you take a joke?" the addressed teenager looked around, clearly missing the punchline of it all. Abby and Roy looked at him and exchanged knowing glances.
"Oh, yeah..." they said in unison.
