Leon shrugged, smiling as the Kairi stuck her tongue out. He might sounded jokingly, but he really didn't want her fall down from the tower. Suddenly, a woman approached them. It didn't take Leon long to make him had a sudden dislike on her.
He wanted to protest when Kairi invited her to sit together with them. However, he decided against that as he wouldn't want to make himself look bad in front of the two. He just gave a reluctant nod and raising his knees to his chest, before hugging them.
"I'm not telling you" Leon pouted, puffing his cheek as she asked him. Leon turned away from them, and started drawing circles on the floor with his finger.

Keisko raised an eyebrow at his behavior. She didn't think she seemed too reserved or anything... but for some reason, this kid didn't like her. She was taken back by his slight hostility.
"I was 9 when my mother disappeared. I lived here at the time and was alone since she was gone. So instead of going somewhere else to live with a friend, I set out and travled the country. Some nights I was forced to sleep in the cold under the stars. I was often without food and was too young to ever make any money, so instead I would duel... There were many, many times that I lost and went without food, shelter or even a better coat. But I survived, I wasn't sad about it for days, I knew that it was life and I couldn't do much to help it. Things happen and you can't change that." she sighed in thought. Lately now that she was in a clan and had friends, she felt more able to be open. To be able to relate and help others.
She looked around the girl Kairi at the kid. ""Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get..."" she said smirking as she said her favorite quote.

Kairi laughed when Leon refused to tell their newest member about his problems, and she gave him a comforting ruffle of the hair. "Your not going to make any friends that way."
She was grinning, but it faded when the woman explained how long she'd been on the streets. Turning her head, Kairi gave the woman a soft smile. "Saying I'm sorry won't help, so I won't say that. And it's in your past, and I can't time travel, so that's out too."
Kairi paused for a moment, before patting the woman's shoulder. "But I can tell you that your not alone anymore. People aren't always kind, or understanding, but some people will try, no matter how much they understand, or don't." Kairi looked up at the stars with her eyes closed, one hand on the woman's shoulder, one hand still on Leon's head.
"But throughout all our lives, back in the past, and somehwere in the near or distant future, one thing stays the same......" Kairi giggled softly, before giving each person a smile. "The sky never changes, no matter how much we do. No matter how much we change the world around us, the sky remains the same."

Keisko shrugged. "It wasn't that bad really... I learned more than I ever could have staying here... and I also met new people..." She said thinking about the numerous journals she had at home with all her experiences and the people she met. She nodded along with the girls words. It was true, she had met people and they had befriended her and helped her through the loss of her mother...
"Enough about me. Now kid, its not good to be so glum, I would know..." she shook her head, getting rid of the thoughts about her mother. "The world I a cruel place and you can't get through it without being able to open up to people. And by the looks of it, we're all in the same clan..."

Kairi ran her hands over Leon's head softly, giving him encouragement and comfort. "Don't worry Leon. I don't think the Miss would be mad if you don't tell her."
Turning to the woman, Kairi gave a large smile. "I think I'll call you K-chan." Kairi rubbed the back of her head with one hand. "I like to give people nicknames, I remember them better."
Turning back to the sky, Kairi hummed her song, 'London Bridges Falling Down', and kicked her feet. Kairi felt an odd sense of kinsmanship, sitting with her fellow friends. But Kairi said nothing about the feeling, and simply let the last syllable of the song fade.

Leon continue his silent tantrum. He went on drawing circles on the floor even when Kairi messed with his hair again. He appeared to be ignoring everything the lady was saying. But actually, he was contemplating whether he should tell his story or not. The lady was good enough to tell them her tale. So why shouldn't him?
Slowly, he turned to the two. He looked up and faced them.
"I...-"
As soon as Leon opened his mouth, he felt a tight knot in his chest. Switly, he turned away, trying to hide that his eyes began to moisten even when he was just thinking about it.
"You tell her," Leon sobbed while wiping his tears.
I'm not going to cry... Leon thought aloud.

Kairi smiled affectionately. "Now, if I told her Leon, it wouldn't be the same. Don't be scared. It's okay to cry, but don't be scared."
Whispering softly to him, she took his hand in her own. "I'm here, so nothing is going to go wrong."
Kairi liked Leon, she really did. He was a cute kid, and she liked talking to him. He brought out the protective side in her. Still holding his hand, she squeezed softly.
She turned to K-chan to whisper, "He just needs some time to gather himself up. Just give him a minute."

Keisko smiled over at the boy. "You know kid, the only reason I want to know is because I know that telling people is the best way to get over it..." She didn't add the fact that she had already heard his story while hiding earlier.

"..."
Leon remained silent while his back was facing them. Trying his best not to have another outburst like before, he took a deep breath. He was mustering his strength, to overcome the sadness that may made him spout nonsense.
"I-" Leon started with a somber tone, "I dueled a line-jumper over a movie ticket, and- and-" Leon hesitated. He really didn't want to say it, but the motivation from the two drove him on.
"I lost" he finished coolly. It appeared that he was cool with it, as if there's nothing to be bothered about it. But...
"Uh... uu.. uwaaaaaaa!" Leon cried his heart out, tears pouring down his cheek. Just like before, he buried his face into his knees, trying to muffle his cries and hide his face. He wished that the floor will just open and swallow him whole.

Keisko nodded. "I understand... Trust me, it could have been much worse..." She knew all too well how bad things could be out in the world. What happened to this kid wasn't that bad but she could see where he was coming from, when she was little, stuff like that would make her break down in tears like he was doing now. "And once you've run out of tears, it gets better and you heal..."

Kairi sighed, and pulled Leon into her lap, sheilding him with her arms, so he could cry into her shoulder. Her black hair fell around them, making a warm cocoon.
Kairi rubbed soothing circles over his back. "It's okay. Come on, Leon, you can be strong. Don't let this get you down!"
Kairi took on a happy smile and grinned at him, before poking his cheeks and making fish face, trying to see if she could get him to smile. She eventually started poking his sides, then she just flat out started poking him, still making the fish face.

Leon clutched Kairi's shoulder as he cried his heart out. The top of the tower echoed with the sound of his crying. He didn't held back. Leon just let everything out, draining the last of his tears.
Leon appeared not going to stop crying, even when Kairi rubbed his back. Suddenly..
*poke*
"!" Leon stopped crying when a finger poked his cheek. He looked up and saw Kairi trying to humor him by making a strange face. He was tittered at first, but soon broke into laughter fit as Kairi continued poking him.
"S..Sto-p," Leon breathed between his laughter. "You're... killing me!" he panted before descending into another laughter fit.

Kairi broke her fish face routine and started tickling him, keeping him in her arms so he wouldn't fall off the Tower. "I shall never cease the tickling!"
She did, eventually, stop, and hugged him close to her, ruffling his hair with one hand. "See? All better!"
She turned to K-chan. "Thank you for being here, K-chan! Leon needed someone to listen to him other than me. Someone else who would understand him."
She hummed a happy song, her arms still around the boy in a protective manner. She still didn't know what it was, but she still felt the need to protect Leon.

Keisko smiled and laughed as Kairi tickled Leon, getting his crying to cease and getting him to laugh. The two acted like they were brother and sister and Keisko enveyed them. She wished she had a sibling or even her mother. She remember her mom doing things like they were doing when Keisko was sad or mad. It always got her to laugh, her mother had a knack for that...
"No problem. Honestly, I had no idea anyone was here when I orginally planned to watch the sunset, but this is just fine." her lips quirked into a smile. These two were definately entertaining..

Noticing the weird smile on K-chan's face, Kairi leaned a hand over to ruffle K-chan's hair. "Don't make a face like that, K-chan. You should smile."
For emphasis, Kairi grinned widely. "People are just waiting to see you smile." She looked first at K-chan, then Leon. "And that goes for the both of you!"
Smiling, she patted K-chan's head in a friendly manner. "I'm sorry for what you've been through, but saying I'm sorry won't help. So I'll just be your friend, and even though I wasn't there before, I can be there now."
