Kairi was a kind hearted person by nature, so revenge didn't appeal to her. She would rather not, but she took a glance at Leon and the man whose name still eluded her.
She smiled softly at Leon, giving his hair another good pat. "I don't like revenge. A double sided sword always hurts more than one person." She glanced at the man heading toward the elevators, and though he couldn't see it, she gave him a sad smile, before facing Leon again. "It's your choice Leon."
The happiness in her eyes never faded, as she faced the twinkling stars. "But I would enjoy someone's company." She rolled her eyes. "It gets lonely by myself up here."

Leon nodded as Kairi finished her sentence. He made his decision; he would want to stay and hang around with Kairi. Perhaps he would gain more comfort than thinking about revenge. After all, someone like him better to mope around rather than running rampart in the name of vengeance...
Leon simply watched as Tsu're became farther away, not budging from his position. That person was kind enough to help him with his revenge, but maybe Leon was too... incompetent to do such thing. He might be missing something big, but that's his loss. He didn't feel like doing anything but to sulk and whine how unfair life is.
Leon tightened his embrace around his legs and rested his chin on his knee. Watching over the city, he can't help but to think what the city had to offer in the near future. Will he be able to cope, as he clearly failed his first test.
Leon let out a deep sigh, again.

Kairi watched Leon out of the corner of her eye, and when he sighed, she readily ruffled his hair again comfortingly. "Stop that." Her lips quirked in amusement. "The more you sigh, the more wrinkles you'll get when your older."
She turned back to the stars, but softly asked him, "What was on your mind, to make you sigh like that?"
Kairi smiled, despite the situation. "If I pry too much, you can punch me. You know, like, kyah!" And with that, Kairi threw a punch, which resulted in her being off balance, and almost tumbling off the Tower!
She righted herself, and giggled nervously, rubbing the back of her head. "Oops?"
Oops!? You almost fall off the tallest Tower in Hatsu Itonami, possibly Japan, and all you can say is, 'Oops'? Kairi ignored her subconscious, but couldn't help but smile softly. Her mind sure had one Hell of a sense of sarcastic humor.

"I-" Leon started, but before he could begin, the girl threw a punch into the air, causing her to be off-balance. That certainly caused Leon to jump. He reached for the girl, but it was nothing than false alarm as she righted herself. Leon let out a breath of relief. He really doesn’t want someone to die while in his presence. It brings bad luck, someone said to him back in the orphanage.
"You are clumsy, aren't you?" Leon mused, smiling slightly. He was feeling better, and the girl's humorous clumsiness amused him. "Please be careful. I don't want something to happen to you..." Leon said, before realizing he was saying something cliché. "... I mean, I might have to jump to save you and risk falling down the tower together...” his voice trailed off. Leon really had no idea what he was talking, or why he said that.
"Anyway!" Leon interrupted himself, and returned to his gloomy self, "I was thinking about the future challenge this world have in store for me," he said with uncertainty in his heart. "If I nearly failed the first test, I wonder what dreadful things might happen in the future," he said, turning to the city again.
Again, he let out a deep sigh, clearly forgetting Kairi's advice about wrinkles and ageing.

Kairi laughed nervously. "Yeah, very clumsy." She held up a foot. "My feet have a mutiny against me."
Kairi's smile became soft, and she nodded. "Don't worry. Nothing will happen to me. I fall a lot, but hey, it's just a bruised knee, no big deal. And if I did fall off this Tower." She took a shaky glance down. "Well, let's just say that that would be one big bruise."
Kairi looked at the stars. Her heart was telling her she needed to tell him, so she spoke the words that were whispered to her, "Tests aren't just there in life to see if you pass and fail.....Some tests are there to see if you can fail and get back up again."
Kairi's smile became soft. "Fail once, try again. Fail again, try once more. The more you fail, the more chances life is giving you to learn." Kairi looked up at him. "In order to win, you have to learn to lose, because sometimes losing." Kairi grinned. "Is winning!"
Kairi kicked her feet gently. "As for the future.....If you could see the future, and you could see every win and loss in your life, and you only avoided the losses, there would never be a chance for you to win." Kairi giggled nervously. "I'm no expert! You really shouldn't dig too deep in my words.....I think."

"They are very sensible," Leon replied, smiling. "Did you make those up on your own, because it sounded like something from a best-seller book," he continued, giving his compliments on Kairi's wise words. He released his embrace and let his legs rests on the balcony floor. Leon leaned backwards, with both of his arm supporting him. Looking up on the sky, he could see stars twinkling high above, as if channeling strength for him to move on.
"Dare to fail, huh?" Leon mumbled to himself, recalling a saying the late doctor always told him. In the past few years, Leon hadn't doing anything considerable at all. Most of the time his thought was put off by the fear of failing. Therefore, he never tasted the sweetness of achievements or the bitterness of failures... until now.
"You're right. Maybe I shouldn't give too much thought about it," Leon nodded, turning to Kairi. "After all, my late benefactor wouldn't be happy to see me in such sad state," He continued, carving a weak smile.
"I felt a load better. Thanks, Kairi," Leon gave a sincere smile at her. "Who knows what I might do if I continued being gloomy. Most probably I'd be splattered across the pavement below," he continued jokingly, chuckling at his own joke

Kairi blushed. "Y-yeah, they're my own." She watched him lean back to look at the stars, before looking up herself.
"The stars are so beautiful aren't they?" Kairi smiled softly. "I think the stars sometimes get lonely, but I wish I could be a star too."
Kairi grinned. "Dare to fail, dare to rise again." Kairi cocked her head to the side at the mention of the word benefactor. "I'm glad you had someone to teach you and care for you, to help put you in the right spot, and help you make the right choices."
Seeing his smile, Kairi gave him a sincere one of her own. "Your welcome! Just doing my job." Kairi winked and grinned, looking much like her overly joyful self.
Kairi looked back up to the stars, before her large smile faded, replaced by a smaller one. "We made a deal didn't we? I still haven't told you a problem of mine. Would you still like to hear it?"

"Maybe, but they bring happiness to us gazing from below," Leon said as he looked up on the sky. "I wouldn't mind being a lonely star if I can make people happy," he turned to Kairi, grinning.
He looked back at the sky "Yeah, he was a wonderful person. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him," Leon said regarding with his late benefactor. A tint of sadness appeared inside him; as if he still wished that he'd be around.
Leon tilted his head as Kairi wanted to tell him her problem. "No," he replied swiftly and returned gazing towards the sky. There was a moment of awkward silence before...
"Of course I want to hear it," Leon said gleefully, switching his look towards Kairi. He turned his head so fast that it snapped painfully. "Oww...." Leon winced, rubbing his sore neck. Then he smiled at himself for failing to be mean.

Kairi smiled softly. "Yeah, the stars are so small, but they're so bright. Something so small is able to do so much."
Kairi ruffled his hair comfortingly at the sad tilt to his tone. "I understand." Her voice was sincere. "I've lost something I can't get back either. Something....." She paused. "I never knew in the beginning."
She kept her hand on Leon's head. "I can't remember my past. Small things, yes. But the big picture? No. I can remember when I first arrived here in Hatsu Itonmai 2 years ago, but before that? It's like a blur, a swirl of images and sounds, events and people I can no longer remember."
Kairi was smiling again. Her smile was bright, even though her story was sad. "But even though I have no solid ground behind me, I'll never stay down. I'll keep getting up. My past belongs behind me, and I won't let it ruin what's ahead of me."

"Memory loss, huh?" Leon raised his brow, hearing something unnatural to him. "That's a downer. It must be hard living without knowing much of your past," he continued, showing his concern towards Kairi's problem. "Uh... I'm sure they're still in there somewhere," Leon said, quickly placing both of his hand head joyfully. Forgetting that they were supposed to support him, he fell backward with a thud.
"Ouch... te he he" Leon cringed before chuckling at his own goofiness, but didn't bother to sit right up. He continue lying on his back, crossing his left leg on top of another. "I'm sure they'll come back at you," he assured, not knowing where did he get the confidence. "After all, nice things tend to happen to nice people, isn't it?" Leon turned to Kairi, smiling.

Kairi grinned and winked. "Nope. I live in the moment. What's in the past stays there, and what's in the future will still be waiting for me in the end."
Kairi laughed and ruffled some bangs of Leon's hair. "Yes, good things happen to good people." Kairi returned to star gazing. "Even if I never remember, I won't be sad. Because I'm Kairi Valor!" Pumps both fists in the air and yelling "Kyah~!"

Leon laughed together with her, amused with the behavior of the girl. Looks like he met a pretty interesting person. Perhaps this what she meant earlier. Leon blinked as she ruffled his bangs, but didn't do anything to stop her as he liked it.
He sit up, chuckling as Kairi's behavior had put him into mirth. He really enjoyed the moment, as he rarely hang out with someone. People often looked down at him, often because of his immaturity and some out of his incompetence in dueling. He do have friends, but they're little kids of Hatsu Itonami orphanage.
"Careful. No one would want you to fall down from here, just like you almost did before," Leon said, grinning.

Keisko sighed with relief as the man hadn't caught her eavesdropping. She got tired of hiding in the corner, straining to hear the conversation the two young ones were having so she decided to come out of her hiding spot and quietly walked up and leaned against the railing looking at the stars. She didn't talk because she didn't feel that there was a need to, so she leaned against the bars waiting for one of the two to say something.

Kairi turned her head to look at the woman she had sensed approaching. "Hi! My name's Kairi Valor. Do you like to look at the stars too? Aren't they pretty?"
Kairi turned her head back to the sky, before sticking her tongue promptly out at Leon. "And who says I would fall anyway? Yeah, I'm clumsy, but still."
She tilted her head back and let her long black hair spill about her. A nice breeze wafted over the top of the Tower as Kairi gazed rather merrily at the sky.
She turned back to the standing woman, and motioned to an empty spot next to her. "As long as Leon doesn't mind, you can sit with us." Kairi laughed. "I don't bite!"

Keisko was surprised by the girl's sudden outburst. She wasn't completely comfortable with the hyperness of this girl but she wasn't too unnerved by it. She did have a highly hyperactive friend that she liked to hang around with. With a shrug she sank down to the ground, letting her legs dangle off the edge of the tower. "The stars have a relaxing effect." She admitted thinking about all the times she fell asleep beneath the stars in all different places around this country. They calmed her when she was little and afraid and desperately missing her mother.
"So why the glum mood kid?" she asked the boy although she already heard what it was.
