Caitlyn looked over at Teddy. "I dunno, Rex," she shook her head. "Sometimes I end up..finding things that people would rather not be put out in front of others." She shrugged. "I just want to make sure you're certain before I continue." Her hand moved to the first card of the Home section.

Teddy's hand slipped from Rex's shoulder as he tapped it, and sheepishly lowered his head. "Yeah, Caitlyn, that's what I meant..." He mumbled, almost inaudible to the other two people he was sitting with. He leaned back in his chair as he allowed the two to continue the reading for a while. He looked off into the distance, seeming to not acknowledge the other two's presence. His blue eyes were blank and his jaw hung open slightly. A beam of reason began to argue in his head. What was he doing here? He thought he wasn't going to stay long at the club, but here he was - drunk. Drunk and separated from - Rio! Where did he go?
Teddy's neck strained as he desperately looked behind himself at the dance floor. He still couldn't see any of the guys he came in with. Did they leave without him? All of a sudden, Teddy became scarred. His breaths became shallow as he scanned the entire room for the boys, though never deciding to actually get up. He looked back at the table and saw the cards again. Cards? Yes. They belonged to this girl- and she was with this boy and they're right in front of him. Why did he talk to them? Did they talk to him first? They're strangers, why is he sitting with them? He squeezed his eyes shut trying to concentrate, but despite his efforts, his brain remained a mess. He then forgot about everything, as his eyes closing reminded him of how late it was. His head rested itself on the back of the chair as the eighteen-year-old suddenly became still, breathing slowly. It was hard to tell if he was passed out or asleep.

She seemed slightly paranoid at Caitlyn's words. "Uhh... well... we came out all this way! It'd be a shame to just loaf about as you speak to me. You can probably just give me a private reading when we get back to the clan!" She chuckled nervously, not wanting her real gender to slip out.
Looking at the young gentleman next to her, she noted he seemed just about passed out. She looked Caitlyn in the eyes before she began whispering. "Hey Caitlyn. Let's go dance or something."

Caitlyn nodded, cleaning up the spread. "That's probably better, since there's a second spread that's supposed to go with this one and I didn't get a chance to do it," she said, and shrugged. "It only uses the cards of the Major Arcana, see." She put the cards back into their pouch at her side.
She glanced over at Teddy and sighed. "I would feel horrendously guilty just leaving him here," she said. "He's so wasted, who knows what could happen?"

Rex looked him over. "Ohh, I'm sure he'll be fine. What's the worse that can happen? After all, we made it here just fine and we haven't been beaten up yet." She blinked twice, a moment of dismissal soon turned to an expression of fear and paranoia. No sooner had she spoken, she began nervously looking around again, remembering the thoughts she had when this topic began.
"Uhh..." Rex seemed to be lacking the courage she once had a little while ago. "Hmm... he knew what he was getting into while he was drinking." Rex said, adjusting her tie. "I'm sure someone from his clan will come pick him up once they've realized he's missing." She smile nervously. "So... what now?"

Caitlyn laughed. "I guess you're right, but then again neither of us is plastered," she pointed out. She noticed Rex's moment of paranoia, but she decided not to comment. After all, it had probably been a bit scary for him to come here.
She reached out and grabbed one of Rex's hands. "Hopefully, someone will come pick him up," she said, brushing her hair out of her face. "Come on, let's dance," she told Rex, pulling on his hand.

Rex seemed a little excited at Caitlyn's words. She closed her eyes for a second. And all at once, she was a twelve year old girl again. Her long light brown hair draped down to her back, her rosy cheeks, covered in blush and make up, her blue eyes, hidden behind a layer of eyeliner, stared up at an older teenage boy.
His left hand was on her wide hipped dress, their right hands interlocked, elegant ballroom music playing in the background. She took one step forward with her left, leaning on her heel, the young man seemingly put off and slightly confused.
She side stepped with her right before bringing her feet together. She shifted her weight towards her left foot. Taking a step back with her right, similar to walking, the young man also too took a back step, giving the girl an annoyed look before quickly stepping forward to compensate. The girl's left foot was brought back with a side step, before she brought her feet together and tried to start the cycle all over again.
"Stop stop stop!" exclaimed the young man. "Lauren, your parents paid me to teach you to dance-"
"Yeah, and I'm dancing just like you were before, right!?"
"No no no, Lauren. Well actually yes. But there's a big problem, you're dancing like a man!"
"So? What's the problem?"
"Lauren, you'll never be a fine young lady like your parents want you to be if you don't learn! Once again, from the beginning."She opened her eyes, an eager smile on her face. "Sounds great. Not to sound conceited, but I'm a great dancer." Rex said, a tone of confidence in her voice, not realizing that a ballroom and a night club were two completely different things. She allowed herself to be lead out to the dance floor.

((ooc: I guess this is a little side note, but I'm going to let you guys finish up, or at least advance your story a bit more before I have Teddy come back. Of course, only if it's okay with you. I guess what I'm saying is don't be waiting for me to post.))

Caitlyn smiled slightly. "Oh really? What kind of dancing?" She asked. Caitlyn had made an effort to pick up most kinds over the years, and had done a fair job of it. In the right clothes, she could fit in at a high-society party or on a nightclub floor. She was curious as to whether or not Rex knew how to "club-dance," so to speak. He certainly struck her as more of the high-society type, and the music here wasn't necessarily appropriate for the waltz.

"Kind of dancing? I know all kinds!" She smirked, for one of the first times happy she was treated as a princess growing up. Unfortunately, her dancing was mostly limited to classical ballroom styles.
She held up her right hand, counting off the many miriad of dances she knew. "The tango, the Viennese Waltz, the regular Waltz, the Samba, the Quickstep, the Paso Doble, the Lindy Hop, the Foxtrot, and Classical, Contemporary, and Neo Classical Ballet-"
She stopped, realizing her last few words. "Uhh... I mean... not ballet. I was just joking... haha." Her face was flushed with pink, as she tried to play it off. "So... I'm perfectly fine with most kinds of dancing. Now let's go."

Caitlyn looked amused as Rex began to list off a wide variety of ballroom dances. She shook her head, not quite sue what to say. She knew he had been raised rich, but she had hardly expected that.
"Ballet?" She grinned. "Nothing wrong with ballet. There are some very cute male ballet dancers out there," she said, though she was grinning in a slighlty teasing way. She shook her head as she held out a hand for him to take. "You know that most of those are ballroom dances, right?"

She shook her head. "I was just joking..." she muttered, but it was such an easy to read lie. A shame too, she'd never get a chance to show off her moves, she was a pretty good ballet dancer.
She took Caitlyn's hand and was lead downstairs. "Huh? You mean there are other kinds of dances?" Rex only knew the classics, of course, and remained completely oblivious to any other kinds of "lesser" styles of dancing.

Caitlyn shook her head. "Sure. Suuure you were." She muttered under her breath, clearly very much amused by Rex's denial.
She brought him down, a teasing smile on her face. "Yeah, there are. They aren't as...organized as classical dancing, but they can be fun." She winked. "You'll get to see a lot of that here,"

Rex's faint blue eyes looked at the group, barely able to distinguish bodies in motion but still able to spot certain details. The extreme closeness of a nearby couple, the way they touched and clung onto each other swaying ever so slightly to an inaudible beat.
"We're going to dance like them?" she asked, a notable blush despite the dim lights.
She seemed to be losing her nerve, but still tried to hold on for Caitlyn's sake. "Okay... fine... do they put on the music after the trains have stopped passing overhead?" It seemed Rex had mistaken the loud music as train noise.

Caitlyn followed Rex's gaze and blushed. She shook her head. "Not quite like them," she said. Even though the idea of pressing up agianst him like that..well, just the look on his face would make it worth it.
She started laughing as he asked about the music. "Rex darling, that is the music!" She said, grabbing his hands and running down tot he dance floor, pulling him along with her.
