"Crisis averted" she thought to herself, a part of her thinking that maybe it was her, Rex, who had misunderstood the whole situation.
She listened to Caitlyn's explanation, watching as she carefully removed the cards from her pack. A bit of excitement as her fingers felt the lamenated cardbord.
She shuffled the cards quickly, the same way she shuffled her own deck before preparing for a duel. "Uhh, we're not in a rush are we? A complex reading is fine."
She set up three piles, before a sense of uneasiness, "J-just a sec." She scooted down in her seat, trying to get her face parallel to the table as she looked the three piles over. She took a card from the top pile and added it to the middle. Then, two cards from the bottom and onto the top. She surveyed her scene, before adding one from the middle and top to the bottom row.
It took her about a minute before realizing she was acting rather foolish. "Uhh... they probably don't need to be exactly even, right?" She sat up straight, now, blushing sheepishly as she got to adjusting her tie.

((Wasn't sure if this was closed. If it is, I'll just delete this post and appologize for intruding.))
Rio was right: Teddy was most certainly loosening up.
It was the first time Teddy had ever snuck into a bar, he had no idea how Rio ever got that I.D. It looked so much like him. And though it wasn't Teddy's first time drinking, he was what some people might refer to as a 'light-weight'. Rio and the rest of the guys had said they were going to try and dance with a group of girls they had seen, but Teddy wasn't terribly interested in joining them. Rio left him with some money to buy himself a few more drinks - which he did.
After having his third vodka tonic, he stumbled around the dance floor, bumping into people and tripping over moving feet, trying to look for the guys he came in with. That's when he caught sight of two people with cards on the table. The alcohol in his system shortnned his attention span as these people suddenly caught his interest. Feeling uncharacteristicly bold, he began to strut over to the two girls.
For his state, he looked relitvley well composed. His black hair was neatly jelled up in its fauxhawk, and his argyle sweater was still tucked into his khakis. He prepared for this evening out, despite his initial thoughts about it. He didn't really want to go out to the club; Teddy wasn't a very social guy. However, the more drinks Rio passed him, the more he was comfortable in the crowded setting.
When he got to be about half a dozen feet away from the table he froze as the cards appeared to be something he didn't expect. He thought there was a friendly game of duel monsters between the guy and the girl, however instead they were cards of another sort, cards he didn't recognize. He studied them with his sloggish mind, not saying anything to the couple but starring straight at their table. The man began looking at the cards funny, but Teddy either didn't care or didn't notice, or both.

Caitlyn watched Rex shuffle. He did it much better than most people, and he was very good at managing the Tarot cards, which were much larger than Duel Monsters cards and of course the deck was nearly twice as thick as a normal dueling deck.
"Alright, then you have two choices. Slightly complex or really complex." She smiled slighlty. "One is a bit more...popular, and the other is one I learned from the woman who taught me to use these. I don't know how many others use it. But it gives a lot of detail." She said. She giggled as she watched Rex cut the deck, and then split it up in a very OCD manner. "No, they don't. But I suppose that eliminates any possibility of stacking the deck," she joked, looking very amused.

(OOC: Two girls? But Rex looks kind of like a dude! DX At least you mentioned Rex was a guy later on. ^_^ )
Rex didn't seem to notice the new gentleman who seemed to be watching over her and Caitlyn's scene. She seemed to be paying a bit much of her attention onto Miss Master's little card show.
"Well..." she scratched her chin, thinking over the choices she presented. "There's no point in picking the slightly complex one after the really complex one, because it'd just be the same information, would it not? And a part of me is intrigued as to what a really complex fortune would be. Furthermore, I don't believe either of us are in any rush, so I think it'd be fair to pick the really complex fortune."
She brought her hands up towards the table, resting her wrists politely on the edge, and putting her own hands together, interlocking her fingers.

Caitlyn shrugged. "Alright. I don't do this reading often, so be aware of that." She took the deck and closed her eyes.
"This is what my mentor always called the 'Life Spread,'" she said. "It gives a view into all aspects of a person's life, from work to romance to family." She began to draw cards. Then, she placed one down, then two, three, and four in a row below it. "These are the Personal section. They'll give a bit more information about you." She said.
She took another card, and put it to the left and above the first four. Below it she placed three more cards. "This is the Home section of the spread."
She took the next four, placing them the same way but tot he upper right. "Here is the Work section."
The next four went on the bottom left. "Love," she said as she finished laying them out.
She took the last four cards, placing them on the bottom right. "And finally, the Future section of the Life Spread."

She smiled, "How lucky of me then."
She watched silently as Caitlyn began her fortune telling, nodding inquisitively at every word she spoke. A part of her was a little confused as to why she was asked to shuffle the cards, only to have Caitlyn cut them again, but she refrained from speaking out.
Assuming Caitlyn still had her eyes closed, Rex didn't feel it too necessaary (and quite frankly, would have felt it a little creepy) to stare into her closed eyes, so he just continued watching her as she worked.
"So... which ones do we flip first?"

((Ah, I appologize. I suppose I was using a third person omniscient point of view. Don't worry, Teddy hasn't an inkling!))
Giving up on trying to concentrate, Teddy let out a rather unflattering burp, which was fortunately drowned out by all the noise in the club. He walked up to the edge of the table and caught his balance by placing one hand on the surface of it. "Hey, you guys aren't playin' duel monsters." he yelled over the music, perhaps a bit too loud. He had a very poor justification for disturbing them, but he didn't seem to notice. Teddy finally got a good look at the two people he just interrupted and recognized them to be not Rio or any of his buddies.
The girl was handling these foreign cards, and she didn't seemed as dressed up as the boy was, but she was still well composed. Teddy looked over to Rex and smiled; there was something strangely compelling about the boy. Teddy seemed to be rocking back and forth slightly, an action he was most likely unaware of himself, but despite this, he was doing his best to act decent. "Hey... I don't know you," he redundantly stated, "What's your name?" His last question was a bit slurred, but Teddy continued to look intently at Rex.

After Caitlyn finished laying out the cards, she opened her eyes and looked over at Rex. "Naturally, we start in the beginning. The center." She placed a hand on the first card she had put down, turning it over. Her eyebrows immediately went up. The image on the card was a beautiful woman on a golden throne, holding a up overflowing with water and dressed in blue. "The Queen of Cups...in case you're curious, it's represented by Psyche, lover of Eros or Cupid." Her eyes flicked up to Rex. "Usually, it represents a woman who is creative, thoughtful, and sensitive..." She took a breath and continued the reading.
She turned over the second card, to reveal a woman sitting on a white column-like seat, dressed in gauzy robes. "The High Priestess. The Oracle of Delphi," she added and explanation of the representation. "She represents hidden knowledge and the influence of women."
Then, she flipped the third card. It showed a young woman, standing in front of a hearth in a marble room. "Temperance, represented by Hestia." She said. "A card of patience and diplomacy," she gave Rex a slight smile.
"The final card in this section," she flipped it. This one was a bearded man, hanging upside down from the edge of a cliff by a sturdy vine attached to his foot. "The Hanged Man. Odysseus." She looked up. "The Hanged Man represents trial in the present, but the hope of future success."

She blinked as she looked over all the cards. "Why are all my cards women, except for the hanged man?" an unknown paranoia in her voice as she spoke.
But before she could quite get a good enough answer, a young man showed up, making a bold declaration on the two. "Very astute..." she muttered, clearly sarcastic as she crossed her hands across her chest.
The young, clearly inebriated gentleman then went about asking for her own name. Without even flinching, she spoke. "Rex. Rex Coelestis." she didn't bother to offer a handshake, nor did she bother to slowly pronounce her last name for him to figure out how to pronounce it correctly. "And you are?" A bit of good manners, maybe with that said the young man would just leave them both alone.

"Hey Rex... I'm Teddy." He said with an off-beat timing that sounded a bit strange. He continued, unintentionally being very disruptive and scatter-brained. "Y'know, I play duel monsters. I'm like... a soldier of duel monsters... I fight people- but I don't want to! But I do. All the guys are cool with me 'cause I do it. I like bein' one a' the guys, they are so cuool." He went off on a trail of thought talking to Rex (the back of his head facing Caitlyn), trying to explain who he's a member of the Kuma clan who's fighting in the territory duels, however his speech didn't really communicate his message very well. Suddenly, he pushed off from the table and walked away towards a vacant one, seemingly becoming bored of the two Tora's at the table.
His eyes darted around once more to see if he could find Rio. However, the room just kind of blurred by him as he looked rapidly around the club. Quickly giving up he turned on his heel to walk back to the table. However he got an idea. Grabbing a chair from the vacant table he was nearby, he dragged it on the floor all the way back to where the girl and the Rex were sitting. And that reminded him he hadn't introduced himself to the girl either. When he got to the edge of the table for the second time, he plopped down on the chair he grabbed for himself.
He was feeling worse and worse as the night went on, but sitting helped stable his vision. He looked at Caitlyn and spoke in his slurred tone again. "Who are you-? Are you doing magic tricks, can I watch?" he blurted out to the girl, a stupid smile worn on his boyish face. Rex caught his eyes once again and he waved.

Caitlyn was briefly taken aback by the very obviously drunk intrusion. She watched as he and Rex interacted, sitting back and making sure that her spread wasn't interfered with. That was generallyt he way she reacted to interruptions to a reading. When he walked-or, rather, drubnkently stumbled-away, she was preparing to move tot he second section.
However, when he came back, he was now clearly talking to her. She gave him her best polite smile and waved. "I'm Caitlyn," she introduved herself. She frowned briefly at the idea that her Tarot reading could be some sort of trick. "It's not magic, not really." She said. Then again, what was she to say that? She really had no idea why the readings worked...why they were so often accurate. She was also, at the moment, avoiding answering Rex's question as to why all of her cards seemed to be female. She wasn't really sure herself.

Rex remained giving the Kuma clan drunkard a dirty look. "If you simply must stay, would you kindly refrain from speaking?"
Rex felt as though the whole entire atmosphere had been ruined by the young man's expression (though I think it's fine OOC-ly ;_;). She reached for her jacket, still hanging behind her chair and put it back on.
"Please continue Miss Masters." she stated, hands now on her side, and a little less of a patient look in her eyes after she buttoned up her jacket.

Teddy cocked his head to the side, thinking of what the cards could be if they weren't a magic trick. "Huh?" he grunted to Caitlyn, feeling puzzled. He finally looked down at the cards, and a moment of sobriety allowed him to recognize them as Tarot cards. He smiled proudly at his realization. "Oh! They're Carrot Tards," he exclaimed, unaware of his word mix up. He leaned forward and looked at them for a moment, however his focus wavered a moment and his current short attention span shifted around in his surroundings. His eyes caught Rex as he openly asked Teddy if he would be quiet.
"I can shut up sir, not a problem." He assured, slapping a hand on his shoulder. He starred at Rex with a glazed look in his eyes, and sat still for a moment, still grasping the boy. "Rex." Teddy blurted out of the blue, "See? I remembered your name." He twisted his neck to look at Caitlyn. "And you're... ...Cathy. pretty good, eh?" He smiled at his own trivial accomplishment, though he did not move his hand from Rex's shoulder, rather forgetting that he ever put it there.

If he hadn't been drunk, Caitlyn would literally have smacked him for daring to call her cards "Carrot Tards." However, he was drunk, and so she was willing to let him live. For now. On the other hand, she had a reading to give, and she would have to finish it. She looked over at Rex.
"Are you sure you want me to continue?" She asked, just making sure. She looked over at Teddy, amused by his drunken antics. She actually laughed when he screwed up her name.
"Caitlyn," she corrected. "Please, sit down," she gestured tot he chair he had pulled over. She was tempted to add something slightly sarcastic on tot he end, but that would be too cruel.

Rex lightly tapped Teddy's hand, the one on her shoulder. She cleared her throat twice, and began leaning the (let's assume...) left side shoulder down, trying to get him to stop touching her.
Her patience had been waning, but Caitlyn managed to snap him out of it. "Well, we're not exactly in a rush are we? Besides, what else is there to do here?" Rex seemed unaware a majority of the people came here to dance.
