"That's only because you don't know me very well. You'll learn with time." Her smirk widened a fraction. "I have a habit of getting what I want." The Tora was practically oozing confidence, almost tangibly so. She was relatively self assured that she figure out something or other she could hold over Satoru's head, even if it WOULD take a little detective work.

Satoru resisted the urge to roll his eyes yet again and just gave Persephone an even look with a smirk. "We'll see." He had to respect tenacity, but there was NO way he was letting Persephone win this round.

"Yes, we will." Persephone glanced sideways at Satoru, her smirk starting to look more like a genuine smile. "I can't possibly believe that you aren't afraid of anything. Even if you act like a robot, you're still a human being with human emotions."

Satoru snorted at that. "A ROBOT? Please, I've got a MUCH better sense of humor than a motorized tin-can."

"You've got about the same level of compassion," the Tora retorted, although the smile was still on her face. It looked like she wouldn't be winning this round, but for once Persephone was okay with that. She would win sooner or later.

Satoru frowned. "Compassion wasn't exactly a useful commodity where I grew up." He replied, resisting the urge to light up a cigarette security guards be damned.

Her smile faltered for a moment. For a moment Persephone wondered just how Satoru had grown up, but she decided not to ask. "I can understand the notion, but it's still a good skill to have."

The frown deepened into a scowl. "Well it's a skill I lack, and I'm alright with that." To be fair, if he had lacked it entirely he wouldn't have Egil or Mina in his life, but he had been weak and had needed help... and sometimes he DID need people, just not often.

The atmosphere was far too serious for Persephone's liking. "You'll never be popular with the ladies if you keep that up," she teased, trying to lighten things up again. Serious wasn't something the Tora did well.

Satoru cracked a small grin. "Considering you won't leave me alone and there are more girl patrons than male ones at the range, I think I do fine." Besides, he wasn't out to get married.

The blush lurking under Persephone's cheeks slowly became more and more apparent. "T-the reason I'm following you around has nothing to do with THAT." She crossed her arms with a flustered huff. "I'm just find you entertaining when you're irritated."

Satoru grinned as Persephone blushed. "So why are you blushing?" He replied smoothly. Good god, if she really WAS... that would just be strange. She was far too young for him, and she couldn't keep her trap shut for a minute.

"I'm not blushing." Persephone looked more furious than she did embarrassed. Although the pink in her cheeks hadn't quite receded yet. God, this was awkward... Not that Satoru's insinuation had any weight... NOT. AT. ALL.

Satoru's smirk grew. "No, you're blushing. Cheeks are red, that's a blush." She was getting mad, so THIS was going to be fun.

"Shut up," the Tora growled. "It's not like I can just control the color of my face, dammit!" She could feel the level of embarrasment and frustration quickly rising. God, why couldn't her cheek just go back to their normal color?!
