Fuck. It's not like he could ask what caliber rifle she preferred or anything, he doubted the other was that proficient in firearms. "Alright then..." He paused in thought, a little irritated that his failings with regular conversations were becoming apparent. "Favorite dessert?" Hey, it was different than favorite food. Food implied meals. The last time dessert had been a meal had been when Satoru was ten and Ryota had gotten him three big ol' bars of chocolate after his first successful raid. He had been so sick afterwards...

"Cake in general is pretty good to me." Persephone wasn't all that picky when it came to eating. But now she had a sudden craving for chocolate cake. Maybe Jane could make some when she got home from work... Great. All this food talk was really starting to make the Tora hungry.

Satoru figured he should respond with his own dessert of choice. Not that he liked too many of them, but with Egil's habit of baking he had taken a liking to a few Swedish dishes. "Biskvi." He replied, deciding to leave it at that for now.

"Sounds fancy," the dark-haired Tora mused. "Where do you find food that sounds like that this part of the city?" Honestly, she would never get tired of making conversation, even if it was more or less pointless.

"The range." He replied with a shrug. "Egil's th' only one who makes 'em that I've found in this place." And damn if the Swede could bake... Everything the man touched turned delicious, he had even managed to salvage some of Satoru's own attempts at cooking when the dark-haired cripple had decided that take-out for the fourteenth night in a row might NOT be a good call.

"Huh." Maybe she'd have to get Jane on that. Persephone was pretty sure that her sister would be more than eager to try making something new. "Seems like you've got a nice little family at that range of yours," the Tora observed. It was pretty interesting really, especially when taking what Persephone knew of Satoru's character into account. But, she supposed, he did seem a bit more friendly once she had gotten him talking. Well maybe friendly wasn't the best word but...

Satoru pretended to think for a moment. "Family... faaaamily..." He rolled the word over on his tongue and glanced at Persephone. "That's what you call the people you more often than not want to slaughter but DON'T for some reason, correct?" He had half of a shadow of a smile on his face.

Persephone chuckled. It seemed as though they had the same definition. God knew she wanted to murder her (both real and surrogate) family sometimes, but somehow never did. Although she had come close a few times...
"You would be correct, sir." The Tora answered with a somewhat crooked grin. "Although a dictionary may beg to differ."

Satoru laughed along with Persephone. "Glad to see we're on the same page with that. You've got a sister, don't you?" He could have sworn he remembered hearing about some Touzoko girl at the hospital from Mina rambling that was decidedly NOT Persephone. Mina would have been more excited if her newfound partner in bugging-bosses was actually doing work.

The Tora nodded. "Yeah, we're twins." Although they were clearly fraternal; Jane was at least half a foot shorter than sister and more definitively girlish features (big eyes, rosy cheeks, and so on). However, before Persephone had cut and dyed her hair the girls HAD looked a lot alike...

Satoru blinked. "Fuck, there's two of you?" It was good-natured enough sounding to not be completely insulting. He knew that twins, even identical ones, weren't completely the same people.

"Yeah, right." Persephone huffed skeptically. "We're anything but the same. Jane's too much of an optimist to be like me. She's nice to everyone and is always smilin' and stuff. And she's always skipping around in those frilly dresses." But she wasn't complaining, not by a long shot. Persephone loved her sister more than anything in the world. "Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not really me... Ya know?"
