"It does seem to be that way an awful lot," Persephone agreed. "Most people stay pretty quiet about that kinda stuff though. Privacy and all." She shrugged before shaking her head violently. "Ugh, let's talk about something else. What's your favorite color?" It was honestly all she had at the moment... So it would have to do.

"Red." Came the short response. "If that's all you've got to ask then I'm a little disappointed. Still, return the favor: tell me yours." Not like there was anything coming to his mind either, but details details...

"Mm..." She thought for a moment. "Orange. I thought about dyeing my hair that color once, but I think black suits me better." The Tora fiddled with her messy locks for a moment. The blonde was starting to peek through in various spots... She was long over-due to re-dye it. Honestly, it was so much trouble... Half the time Persephone wondered why she even bothered.

Satoru finally took the opportunity to give her hair a long look. "You dye your hair?" He half-asked. He supposed the point of dying it was to not have it be noticeably fake, but he was going to berate himself endlessly for not picking up on that sooner. "Explains a lot..."

"What's that supposed to mean?" the Tora asked slowly. Knowing Satoru, there was probably an insult cloaked in those words. And Persephone really didn't need to give a clanmate another reason to poke fun at her intelligence level.

He gave a shrug. "I'll let you figure that one out." The 'dumb blond' stereotype might have held truth if it weren't for people like Eva, and he had to admit (albiet grudgingly) that Persephone had some wit to her. But it was still a good method of making fun of her.

There was a brief pause and then... "Hey!" Persephone crossed her arms with a scowl. "That stereotype is total bullshit." God knew she had be part of enough "dumb blonde" jokes before she had dyed her hair. She didn't want to deal with them afterwards either.

Satoru chuckled. "Perhaps there's truth to that, it didn't take you NEARLY as long as I thought it might to figure out what I meant." Ah, control. God did he love it.

"I'm offended by how greatly you underestimate me." Persephone was only half-serious, but the underlying irritation was still noticeable. "Honestly, how dumb do you think I am?" Only afterwards did the Tota consider that she might have not wanted to hear the answer.

"Do you REALLY want to know that one?" Satoru shot back with a raised brow. Either Persephone was newer to the game than he thought or she just said EVERYTHING without thinking with no exceptions...

Persephone shrugged. "I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, so it's not like hearing it from you will make any sort of difference." She didn't have much faith in Satoru's opinion of her. The Tora knew her clanmate thought she was an idiot, and he wasn't all too fond of her either. So it wasn't like anything he could say would surprise her.

Satoru gave a short nod. "Good answer." He said, half-curtly. At least she wasn't dumb enough to say 'yes,' that was something. Not a lot, but something.
"As much fun as verbally trouncing your ass is," Satoru began again as they exited the amusement park section of the mall and began the walk back toward the food court for no other reason than it was a place to go. "Let's get back onto that tangent of 'normal conversation' or whatever it was you were getting at with that 'favorite color' shit."

Rather than argue further, Persephone decided to comply and continue the "favorites" game. "Fine. What's your favorite kind of food?" She paused for a beat and then added, "And don't judge me for having lame topics; I'm just trying to keep the conversations rolling."

"I'm not judging." He replied tersely. He wouldn't be doing much better, most of his talk involved insults and weapons... casual conversations had only ever happened with Mina and Egil and THAT was after knowing the pair for about a year... He wasn't good at being friendly. "And anything spicy enough to make a mortal man vomit, yourself?"

"Anything involving pasta," the Tora decided after a brief moment of thought. "Especially when my sister cooks." She momentarily shifted her gaze over to her clanmate. "Okay, your turn to ask a question. I'm not going to come up with all of them."
