Satoru scowled from the balcony overlooking the first floor of shops. Why the city had such an expansive shopping center the brown-haired man would never know, but it attracted idiots like flies. Just beneath him in the food court were two rather plump women having a cat fight over a spilled milkshake...
Actually, THAT was kinda funny. He hoped they drew blood... But it appeared one of them had a husband who dragged his wife away before it could get better, leaving the gunslinger with no entertainment. Well, no READY entertainment. If it wasn't here he'd have to find it on his own...
The sharpshooter was really only here on account of it being a slow week. As a matter of fact, there was a distinct lack of activity. He wasn't worried, this happened every year when schools got back in session. Some clanmembers still attended and couldn't be bothered to keep up with self-defense or weaponry, so Satoru and his right hand men and woman usually wound up with a lot of free time.
Mina and Egil seemed to enjoy the break, Satoru just got bored.
VERY bored. And a bored Satoru was a Dangerous Thing indeed.

Persephone never really knew WHY she frequented the mall, seeing as her budget was positively miniscule. Then again, she didn't have much else to do. Maybe looking for a job, but the Tora had sort of failed in that department. So she needed to find something... Legal to do with her time. Although being constructive wasn't a necessity.
Her request for entertainment was soon answered. Persephone smiled when she noticed Satoru, of all people, just hanging around near the upper balcony. She knew she would finally be having some fun.
Saying nothing, the Tora slid up beside her older clanmate, leaning nonchalantly on the balcony rail. "Bored?" She asked after a moment. No doubt Satoru would be THRILLED to see her, as always.

Satoru hadn't bothered trying to escape when he... hadn't seen, more like sensed Persephone approaching. There was this aura of punk surrounding the dark-haired woman that was nearly tangible. Honestly, Satoru would be hard-pressed to MISS it. Had he tried to escape, he was certain that he'd be caught (damn his leg) and then ribbed even harder for fleeing from a girl.
Either way, he lost. Might as well take the slightly less annoying route. "Some idiot just broke up a fight, so yeah, bored now." He replied, moving off of the balcony to settle the rest of his weight back on his legs... it looked like his lame one would be holding today. At least one thing was going right.

"What, no scaring hapless patrons at the firing range today?" Persephone had to admit, she didn't really know much at all about Satoru. So it was strange that she found hersel so surprised at his being at he mall. He WAS human, she suppossed, and human beings got bored. But somehow it was hard to imagine the gunslinging Tora preforming any day to day functions. Hell, she couldn't even picure him eating. He just kinda gave of an air of "superhuman." Or maybe a more accurate description was "moody robot." Persephone smirked at the thought.

Satoru shrugged. "Everyone needed a day off." Except for him. Honestly, the brusque Tora wasn't entirely sure how to act in everyday society. His entire life was guns and fighting, acting like the typical person was unnatural for him. It wasn't something he had wanted to happen, but had happened nonetheless. "And the yearly lull happened, so it was as good a time as any..."
The slightly shorter Tora shifted his weight again, keeping it off of his right leg. He hated being away from the range, but he was certain that if he had even tried to go near it, Egil would somehow sense it and DRAG him away. The swede was too strong to stop and too useful to shoot, damn him...

"Still... I never thought I'd find ya hanging around the mall." Persephone glanced sideways as she rested her chin in one hand. "Seems too... normal, I guess." She punctuated the sentence with a shrug. Satoru could hardly go waving guns around in a public place, now could he?

Satoru rolled his eyes. "Last time I came here I found a man who has made himself my adoptive son through sheer annoyance and fended off his parole officer by impersonating the police." He snorted at the memory of Xavier. "This place somehow stops being 'normal' when clans converge."

"I s'pose so." Persephone eyed the patrons below boredly. "Although things still seem a bit mundane." After a brief pause, she added, "I can't really see you actually going along with having an adopted son. You're too grouchy for kids." The Tora was already teasing her clanmate. But it was so much fun; she couldn't help it.

Satoru rolled his eyes. "Didn't matter if I went along with it or not, he'd still whine and gripe and treat me like I WAS his dad. Everyone has a breaking point, and Xavier understood that pretty damn well." It was a closely-guarded secret of the reddish-haired Tora that he actually wouldn't mind having a brat around. He'd never reveal that to anyone though, besides, it wasn't as if he was personable enough to make that a reality, so what did it matter?

Persephone shrugged. "I guess I just never associated you with patience." She pushed away from the rail, arching her back and stretching like a cat. "But you DO put up with me so..." The Tora straightened and turned to face her clanmate with a smirk. "I mean, you haven,t shot me or anything so I guess that means you don't HATE me."

Satoru shrugged. "It's more like I'll get more grief than it's worth by the higher-ups if I shot you. 'Friendly fire' doesn't work if you're the only one shooting after all..." He began to walk away from the other Tora. If he was lucky, maybe there would be a crowd to lose her in...

Persephone followed her clanmate, quickening her pace to carch up with him. He wasn't getting away that easily. "Glad to know I mean so much to you," she scoffed. "Honestly, I can't be the ONLY person that annoys you." Perspehone knew she was annoying, but she wasn't the worst person out there.

Satoru snorted. "The only one that's outside what I consider to be FAMILY that manages it. Everyone else usually can't look me in the eye. Watch." He decided to demonstrate on a woman toting free-samples about, he fixed the apron-wearing lady with a soul-shattering glare. The tray of chicken bits clattered to the floor as the woman flinched away.
The gunslinger looked back to Persephone. "See?"

Persephone held one hand over her mouth in an attempt to hide her smile and stifle her laughter. She found Satoru more amusing than scary; so the woman's reaction was hilarious. "Nice job, Medusa," she coughed out. After than, it was impossible to hide her chuckles. A moment later the Tora composed herself, although the laughter was still present in her eyes. "I guess I must be desensitized to your scariness of something." She shrugged.

"Actually you're just the only one dumb enough to stick around." He replied coolly. Egil and Mina also stuck around, but they had gotten on his good side before they had even seen his bad one. He had done that purposefully. Persephone was a fluke, and annoying, chattery, LOUD fluke.
