"I'm not sure when you'll get to see him, Doka." Matsuda sighed, earning him a kick in the leg in response. He nearly fell, but leaned against a near by bench as he clutched his leg to ease the pain. "Madoka, please try to understand." he pleaded with a frown.
The now mute Ookami, who was sitting on the bench Matsuda was leaning on, shot a rude look up at the blond as she went back to the sketch book in her lap. Madoka had just learned sign language(it was recommended by the doctors after officially diagnosing her), but it hardly did any good. She didn't know anyone who could understand sign language, after all. So, she just settled with a sketch book and wrote out what she wanted to say to others.
Right now, it was on a page filled with scribbles and phrases such as, "Where's Aiden?" "When can I see Ai-ai?" "I want to see my big brother." When she had written that one, she was corrected by Matsuda saying that they weren't really related, causing her to kick him the same way she had just done. She knew that they weren't blood related, but she still thought of him as her brother. She flipped the page over to a sketch she had done of her 'brother' by memory from when she was still really upset. She was... slightly better, but not the same as she use to be, at was for sure. She heard of Aiden's memory loss, which had worried her for a while, but later she just grew anxious. she wanted to see if he could remember her, anything. She didn't want to lose anyone else...
Matsuda was back to standing on both feet, looking back over at Madoka as she stared at the drawing. It looked just like Aiden, surprisingly(he hadn't known Madoka could draw). It made him frown, Madoka really did miss him, and with good reason to. The blond certainly hoped they'd find Aiden soon, they hadn't ran into him at headquarters, so he wasn't all too sure if he even knew where it was.

Aiden sighed as he made his way through the garden, the note Matsuda left him stuffed into his jacket pocket. He hadn't been out of the hospital for long and he was still getting the hang of the city, so the note telling him to meet up with Matsuda at the garden had managed to get him lost. Luckily for him he had anticipated this and had left early, so he shouldn't be too late.
He hadn't really anticipated on getting lost IN the gardens, though...
It didn't matter though, he could always blame faulty (read: nonexistent) directions if Matsuda got mad. The elder Ookami didn't seem like the type to get upset though. Especially if it was for what Aiden thought the meeting was for. He managed to find his way to the specified bench with only a little more trouble and gave a wave as he approached. The nudging of a memory was batting at the back of his mind as he drew closer, but he wasn't too sure of what.

Matsuda had almost given up on Aiden showing up, but was a little hesitant on telling Madoka just yet. He was glad for it, though. A couple of moments later he could see his other clanmate not too far off. He gave a wave in return to Aiden's, tapping Madoka's shoulder with his other hand. The smaller Ookami jolted her head up and noticed Aiden coming towards them.
Aiden! her mind kept shouting. It's really him! He's okay! At this point she had long forgotten his amnesia, throwing her sketch book to the ground and sprinting off in his direction. The younger of the brunettes nearly tackled the large Ookami in a hug, probably showing the most affection for someone since her ability to speak was taken from her. She was just glad her big brother was okay.
Matsuda made his way over to the two's direction, holding Madoka's sketchbook in case she'd need it to say something soon. He wasn't quite sure what Aiden's reaction would be to Madoka suddenly hugging him, but he hoped it would spark up some sort of positive memory for his friend. "Hope you didn't have too much trouble getting here." he told Aiden with his usual friendly smile.

Aiden blinked as the girl leaped up and ran towards him, practically tackling him. He caught her as she half0crashed into him, trying to cushion the impact. A name burst through his head. "...Doka?" It was more of a question, he was positive the brunette should have been talking a mile a minute if it really was her. Well, it wasn't like he remembered everything about anything anymore.
He kept hugging the brunette as Matsuda walked over. The giant gave a noncommittal shrug in response, deciding to just get on with the whole thing. "Was this what you wanted me to come here for?" He asked, indicating Madoka with a small nod in her direction, IE down toward his chest. His voice wasn't irritated at all, as a matter of fact, he was actually pretty pleased. If this was Madoka then she could help him with his memories, and from the look of things, she had missed him... he just hoped she wasn't going to be disappointed with how little he remembered...

Madoka could have leaped for joy when Aiden said her name, but decided to keep hugging him instead. He remembered her, or at least a little, but it was better than nothing after all.
Matsuda nodded at Aiden. "Yeah." he decided now was the time to tell his clanmate about Madoka being mute. Madoka would probably kick him again for bringing it up, but Aiden would find out either way.
"She can't talk anymore." the blond told him. Should he say it happened the same time Aiden fell off the building and got amnesia? No, that would make things more suspicious. "She's got this to write stuff down on though and all." he held up the sketchbook. Madoka's bright smile turned to a frown, releasing Aiden from the hug and taking the book and wrapping her arms around it. She smiled again, though it wasn't too bright this time. Her mask was pretty much destroyed that night at the school, so hiding things got a little harder for her now.

Aiden could almost feel a bit of his hope crumble. If Madoka couldn't talk he wasn't sure how effective this was going to be. He seemed to remember more about people the more he heard their voice. It was like a trigger of sorts he supposed. If Madoka couldn't talk it wouldn't be nearly as effective... Still, he couldn't just give up now could he? "Oh, okay..." He said lamely. He felt a little awkward meeting the brunette... again... she no doubt had hoped him to be different (just like Xion had) but he didn't remember much.
He ruffled Madoka's hair despite this. "So, can you help me get a few memories back, kid?" He asked, trying not to let himself hope for too much.

Madoka and Matsuda both could see Aiden was disappointed, but the little brunette tried not to look too upset. When he ruffled her hair, she grinned like a little kid in replace of a giggle. She nodded in reply to his question, she could certainly try to help him get a few memories back.
Matsuda looked over at Madoka for a second. He had told her not to bring up Aiden's family or Hotaru, which annoyed the brunette at first. Though after a while she had realized it was for the best and eventually agreed that she wouldn't bring them up to Aiden while talking to him. "So," the blond Ookami said, placing his hands in his pockets. "Need me to stay or would y'all rather me be on my way?" he asked.
Madoka shrugged. She personality wanted to just hang out with Aiden herself for a while, but then again, he might want Matsuda to stay there with them. She turned her head back to Aiden, giving him a look to tell him it was his choice in the matter.

Aiden gave a shrug, it was probably for the best if he and Madoka were just the only people there. He wasn't sure why, but he was pretty sure it had something to do with potential distractions. "You can go if you want." He said. While it may have seemed open-ended enough, the tone of his voice was definitely attempting to nudge the elder Ookami towards leaving.

Matsuda nodded and smiled one more time. "Alright, alright, I'll see you two later then." he said, giving a slight wave and walking out of the garden. He hoped this would turn out good for both of them, they'd certainly need each other, he was sure of that.
Madoka waved slightly as Matsuda went on his way, turning back to Aiden a short second later. After a moment or two of thinking she took his arm and dragged him over to the bench she was at before he arrived. She took out her pen she had in her pocket and wrote down a quick thing. "Got any ?'s" she wrote, showing it to Aiden. Kinda a dumb question, but it was a start.

Aiden nodded. "Hundreds, but I kinda need to narrow 'em down first or we won't really get anywhere..." This had been proven before with Locke. And hearing stories about what he had done with people served as the best reminders about them. He sighed. "The easiest way to do that is to hear people talk and tell about what they knew about me, or how we met or something... but with your voice gone I'm not sure how effective just reading the words are going to be."
It was a legitimate concern he had. He could pick up more from a person's tone than from their words themselves, and you lost a lot just reading a script. It was then that he caught a glimpse at some of the pictures she had drawn. The looked realistic enough, though they gave off a flair that was certainly Madoka... and how he knew that he wasn't sure.
Something clicked and he grinned. "But if you were to draw certain things, things that could tell the same story without words, maybe that'll work the same way!" He was growing more excited about this. Though he realized a bit late that it was really all up to the younger Ookami about what happened.

Madoka's eyes lit up at Aiden's suggestion. That actually didn't sound like a bad idea! The younger brunette smiled and nodded her head a few times, flipping to another page in the sketch book and getting to work.
She decided their first meeting wasn't particularly of special meaning, so she moved on to when they had talked at the hospital. She drew herself sitting up in the bed, arms wrapped up in bandages. She thought about it for a second and decided to make it a little happier, making it where she had tried to slap him but only succeeded in ramming her am into the table beside her bed. In the picture, she was gripping her arm, a slight pout expression on her face, whereas Aiden was just sitting there laughing at her from it.
It made Madoka laugh, though laughing in her case meant smiling and her shoulders shaking a little. When she finished up the background and everything and showed the drawing to Aiden. She hoped he could understand the picture at least a little.

Aiden looked at the drawing and smiled slightly, a tickling at the back of his mind growing stronger. There was just a happy feeling, but no images. Still, better than the blankness he had had before. "Nothing too noticeable yet, try a few more." He advised, trying not to get his hopes too high. Too much of his life he had been told would be near-impossible to recover, still, he couldn't help but think this was going to work. It was just a gut feeling, but he was positive that something was going to come out of this...
Actually, now that he thought about it, his plan of not getting his hopes up had been doomed from the start. Even when Matsuda had mentioned her in the hospital Aiden had been hopeful about Madoka. And now, even though the younger Ookami couldn't speak, he felt she'd help him unlock quite a bit.

Madoka nodded a little, then pressed her pencil to her cheek in thought. She went back to work shortly after, drawing the hospital scene once again, though this time it was when they were all asleep. She tried recalling it as best as she could, drawing Matsuda spread out on the floor with one foot still in the chair he had originally fallen asleep in. Then she quickly drew herself and Aiden both asleep on the bed, her covered with the blanket and him having his arm wrapped around her. She quickly wrote off to the side, "I think I was having a nightmare." so not to give off any other awkward interpretations of the drawing before showing it to Aiden.

Aiden looked on the drawing for a few moments and a thought occurred to him. "I think I was, too..." He wasn't sure how or why, but he was certain of that, and of one other thing too. "And Matsu and I had a fight before this..." He wasn't sure how big it had been, or over what though. Despite the negative memories, he smiled slightly. "Keep going, Doka. It's working."

"I think that was the night the two of you became friends." she wrote down before thinking of another thing to draw. She paused for a moment, wondering if she could experiment something real quick. She did have a red pen with her, too...
The younger Ookami hesitated to write something else down, but did anyway. "I wanna test out something, but you have to promise that you won't get mad." she showed him for a second. If and when he asked, she could always say that him and Naomi didn't get along and she wanted to see if it still rang in his head some. That wouldn't be an entire lie... right?
