He read the message and quirked a brow, what could she draw to make him mad? "I'll try?" He offered, not too sure if he could make any guarantees at this point.

Madoka looked back at a fresh white paper in front of her. She hesitated for a short moment, but sketched out a girl, nothing too special in her facial features or anything like that. When she finished, she grabbed her red pen and colored in the girl's hair. She took her pencil again and wrote at the top:
"Does this make you feel uncomfortable?"
She slowly moved it to where her clanmate would be able to see it, more than a little nervous to see his reaction.

The elder Ookami wasn't entirely sure what had transpired in the moments after Madoka had shown him the picture, and he was pretty sure he wound never recall them. He could piece it together, the sketchbook was torn and the page with the picture was in his hand, but of the actual event there was a gap.
And while he would never know it, in the gap the old Aiden had come forward for a split second, enough for his face to twist and his hand to take hold of the image and RIP IT right down the middle. What she deserved, teach her to take him, teach her to run, teach her to LIVE when she had no right t-
Then he was gone, locked back behind steel doors and iron bars, the knowledge he held gone with him.
Aiden was left blinking at the paper in his hand, wondering exactly what had transpired and why his head hurt so much.

Madoka was actually glad for her mutism for once, because otherwise, she probably would have screamed when Aiden took the picture and ripped it in half. 'Okay...' she thought to herself. 'We're not gonna try THAT again...'
The little brunette slowly moved her arm over to take the half of the picture from Aiden, she didn't want... whatever had just happened to occur again after all. She should tell Matsuda about this later on, or possibly Jack if she ran into him. At least at this point they would know for sure Hotaru was still somewhere in the giant's memories, though that wasn't exactly a good thing...

Aiden didn't notice as Madoka took the paper from him. He rubbed at his temples and resisted the urge to growl. Whatever had happened had left him with one hell of a headache. "Doka, what just happened?" He managed to ask through the fog-like haze of pain in his head. Surely the younger brunette would have some idea of what had just happened, she had seemed to be watching him close enough...

Madoka blinked a few times and frowned, only shaking her head in response. "You got mad, that's all. Let's try something happy now." she wrote down for him, practically avoiding the whole thing altogether. Her curiosity was satisfied, she didn't want to go deeper into it, she just wanted to move on with things.

"Oh," He said and frowned. "Sorry about that..." He had broken a promise and a bit of guilt and disappointment filled his chest. If a picture had set him off, he needed to figure out how to keep a cooler head. He'd ask Locke later about that. Aiden took a deep breath. "Okay then, let's try again."

Madoka shrugged, she had a feeling he wouldn't be able to control himself when he saw that anyway. She went back to drawing, exchanging the hospital scene for the forest and when they first met. The younger of the two was on the ground, searching for a book she had dropped, and Aiden finding the book and holding it out to her. She wrote "First Meeting" at the top of the paper and let him look at it.

Aiden looked at the drawing for a few moments and nodded. He remembered bits and pieces of it all, but it was muffled and fuzzy, like an old silent movie. "Sort of remember this..." He said.

Madoka smiled a nodded. Her hands were starting to hurt from drawing so much at once, but she didn't want to stop just yet. She wanted to help Aiden with his memories, and so far all she had done was bring back a couple hints of things and make him freak out at the redhead drawing. Though she wasn't too sure what else to draw at this point...
"Any questions that I can answer?" she decided to write and ask him. Mentally, she added 'Other than why you'd get so mad at a redhead...' She certainly hoped he wouldn't ask that, but she couldn't stop him from it. Maybe she could just tell him to ask Matsuda later, anything to get the question off her shoulders, she wouldn't know what to say otherwise.

Aiden thought for a moment, "A few..." He started, then began with the first one on his mind. "What happened where you had to go to the hospital?" He asked, something telling him that this was probably important. The Ookami was almost getting tired of the gut feeling he was getting about things. Almost.

Madoka frowned slightly, placing the sketchbook beside her and pushing her sleeves up to her elbows, revealing the scars from that day. It was the easiest way to explain, and she didn't even have to draw or write for it.

The Ookami's eyes widened a little. "Oh." He said simply, taking a gentle hold on her arm and tracing a thumb over one of the scars. "...I found you bleeding..." He said slowly. "And I went to the hospital with you... I didn't want to stay, but no one else was there and I didn't want you to wake up alone..." His voice was low and even, the memory filtering back in slowly, but clear for the most part.

Madoka didn't flinch or try to move her arm away when he held it. Instead she just bit her lip in an attempt to keep from crying. She wanted to say something, to tell him thank you, anything. Words on paper wouldn't be enough for this, and she knew it too. She just wanted to talk again, if just for that moment. That's when it happened.
"Thank you..."
The words were scratchy and hesitant, but it was Madoka's voice, from her mouth! Her heart was able to reach her voice box, but only enough for those two words to squeeze out in time. She tried to talk again, but had about as much luck as she did when she first realized she couldn't speak at the hospital not too long ago.
It wasn't fair, she had so much more to say! That she loved him like a real brother, that she would try her hardest to help him, that she wouldn't rest until all his questions were answered, but no. Apparently she wasn't meant to tell him any of that. But why not? It just wasn't fair!!
The more these thoughts scrambled into her head, the faster the tears going down her cheeks seemed to fall.

Aiden's eyes widened again as he heard Madoka speak. It wasn't much, just two words, but it struck a cord within the elder Ookami. A few tears began sliding down the younger's face, and Aiden pulled her close, not caring whether she wanted the hug or not. He wasn't sure what it was but a protective feeling was bubbling up. He didn't want to see Madoka cry. Never.
He wasn't sure what was taking over at this point, but he started humming softly, trying to calm her down.
