Tekka had luckily been able to reload her gun faster than she had expected herself to, and turned to fire on the new targets. They were flying almost every time one of them shot, and it only seemed to be picking up. The Tora slowly but surely felt herself falling into a sort of rhythm.
Jack was no different, though he ran out of ammunition a few shots later and also had to reload. After which, the Ookami let his reflexes do the work, relying more upon the feeling of where it was going to be more than his actual vision. It seemed to be helping...
Satoru let a few more of the discs fly before switching up the speed himself. One or two of the next shots missed, but the King siblings fell back into their crash course's training and quickly adapted. Jack was fairing a bit worse than the others, but picked it up again soon enough.

Hotaru was getting use to the gun again, not needing more ammunition just yet since she had had less time with the weapon. She kept a good rhythm with hitting the targets, only missing about two of them when the speed was changed. The ex gang leader quickly got back into it and went back to hitting each target with practically no problem at all.

Kage had an idea that he thought Cort would probably approve of. Rather than turning the speed on his disc launcher up, he dialed it down a little. With projectiles flying in two different directions, and at different speeds, the King siblings and Phoenix would be able to learn how to hit different kinds of targets efficiently in battle.

Both of the King siblings hit both the target head-on. Surprising themselves, though Jack was the one who showed it more. Satoru himself seemed pretty pleased, and continued firing shots. They'd run out of discs in a little while, but for now it was best to keep the training realistic.

Hotaru made two clean shots at the targets, grinning slightly to herself for a moment. She wasn't really surprised, she already knew she could do it with a little more practice.

TIME SKIP NO JUTSU Kage clicked the button on his remote, only for nothing to happen. Multicolored eyes widened, and then he clicked the button again. Nothing. The giant still wasn't convinced that he was out of projectiles, so he began clicking the button in rapid succession, quite furiously at that. Nothing. With a sheepish grin, Kage looked over to Cort. He was getting bored, anyway. Maybe they'd get another break, and he could get some real food. Snack cakes were delicious, but what he really wanted was a burger and some fries.

Satoru simply sighed, his own launcher had stopped firing a few shots before Kage's own. Still, at least now the three clan members could fire accurately at a moving target. Satoru figured it was all that they really needed to know for now. After all, one guy and a few followers versus an equal force with firepower was a no brainer match up. "Alright, that's all. Wash your hands and grab some food, there isn't enough time in my schedule to teach you all much more." This was actually true, the Tora DID have a business to run after all.
The Tora thief lowered her gun, arms shaking as she now realized exactly how hard she had been gripping the firearm. Her fingers felt like they were stuck in one position and it was a bit of an effort to get them to uncurl. Her arms ached, both from recoil and from holding it for so long in the crushing grip. She turned to Kage and gave a bright smile. "I feel successful." She stated proudly, deciding not to mention how much her arms hurt, the shaking showed it well enough anyway.
Jack grinned at Hotaru, feeling an ache in his limbs wasn't foreign and he didn't mind it as much as Tekka undoubtedly did. "Well that's over with." He said, before glancing over to Kage, he'd have to confront his sister's boyfriend, lay down a ground rule or two. For the most part Tekka had fairly good judgment, but he wasn't simply going to let Kage go by unnoticed.

Hotaru sighed, glad to have it all done with. "Thank you." she muttered before looking over at Jack, a grin of her own on her lips. They had worked hard that day, it was time for some sort of rest.

Kage crossed the outdoor range and discreetly held the remote out for Cort to take back. He flashed a grin back at Tekka, remembering how painful it had been to move his arms after his first session with moving targets.
"Well, it makes sense to feel successful, since you are successful," replied the giant. He was about to ask Cort something, but then realized that his teacher wouldn't have the answer. Kage needed to find Mina to see if she had repaired the two messed-up guns. After that, he was headed to the Wok to see how big of a bacon cheeseburger they could make.

Jack gave Hotaru a hug. "One second, I gotta talk to my sister's boyfriend for a sec." And he was sure that Hotaru knew exactly why that was, without hesitation he walked towards Kage. He wouldn't try to scare him (goodness knew he probably wouldn't be able to), but talking didn't seem like a far-fetched notion.
Tekka spotted Jack coming and nudged Kage to give him a small heads-up. She wasn't sure if she should leave or not, and thus dithered uncertainly looking back at Jack and then over to Kage.
Satoru simply took the remote and walked off.

Kage felt Tekka's little nudge and noticed Jack early enough to compose a rough idea of how he would work this situation. He vaguely remembered Jack, since they had met at Freed's once, but they hadn't talked much. Just enough to know each other's names. As a matter of fact, the giant had slipped out before anyone had really talked to him (and had even faked taking the one drink that he technically should've actually drank, due to the rules of 'I Never...'). Granted, the tallest of the group was just a wee bit nervous that Jack seemed so determined in his current path, but he didn't seem to be much like Aiden.
"Great job back there, Jack!" encouraged Kage, meeting Tekka's brother with a hand ready to shake. If the giant could play this off as casually as he liked, he could effectively show Jack that he had nothing to worry about.

Tekka decided after a moment that Jack probably would shoo her away if she didn't mover herself. She gave Kage a quick smile before slipping off, heading towards Hotaru.
Jack shook his hand, glad that Kage seemed friendly enough. Their only encounter was at a bar, and Kage left while still sober so that was a point in his favor. "Thanks, and thanks for setting this all up." Short pleasantries, now it was time to talk. "Look," He began, putting his hands in his pockets. "I can tell you and Tekka are dating, it's pretty obvious, really." He gave a shrug. "Personally, I'm not too shaken up over it. If you're willing to face Aiden I think any sort of hazing or interrogation would be kind of pointless." He waited a quick second to see Kage's reaction, or to hear if he had anything to say at the moment.

"It could serve to make things more difficult, if that were one's intention," Kage replied offhandedly. Jack didn't appear the type to do that, anyway, but the giant figured maybe the comment might make him laugh, or at least chuckle. "As for setting this up, it's not like we could afford not to defend ourselves. It's already clear that Aiden will attack anyone that makes him mad, be it a stranger or his own flesh and blood. I can't allow any harm to come to Tekka, and Phoenix is my friend, so I wouldn't really be too keen on letting her get hurt, either." Kage ran a hand over his shortened hair, resisting for the second time that day to shake his head for the sake of doing it. He reached within his own pocket and withdrew his prized Braille coin, immediately sending it spinning along the lengths of his fingers. "Come to think of it... I guess that's just how protective I can be. I mean, hell, I don't know you that well, but if you're related to Tekka and not trying to kill me, then I suppose I might as well protect you as well."

Jack nodded. "Fair enough," He willed himself not to be distracted by the shiny coin, for once managing to succeed. "And if you're a friend of Phoenix as well as Tekka's boyfriend, I kinda have to have your back on this one." He hated using the pseudonym, really and truly he did, but it was up to Hotaru to tell Kage if she wanted him to know.
"Of course," Jack continued. "After all this is over, if you end up hurting Tekka in ANY way and I catch wind of it, you're as good as dead." At this, he was completely serious. Older siblings protected the little siblings, and if this Tora broke his little sister's heart he would meet a grisly and well-executed demise. "Capiche?"

"Understood," said Kage, draining his voice of all humor for the time being. He flipped the coin, only to have it land (still spinning) on his nose. "That being said, if it's for the security of my relationship with Tekka, I'll answer any question you might have. You might as well have that right, since your sister already does." True, Jack had said there wasn't a point to an interrogation, but that didn't mean he didn't have questions for the giant.
