Aiden nodded. "Yeah, I getcha completely. Like you're kicking off shackles or something, after all, people can't take away what you're good at or what you love, not forever anyway." He smiled wryly. "Not even if they tried for a million years..."

Hotaru nodded. "Mhmm." she paused for a moment before turning to him again. "Well, go on already, play." she smiled, laughing slightly. There was a part in her mind asking her how she could be so off guard around the guy that wanted to rip her into a million pieces, but she pushed that aside for the moment.

Aiden shrugged. "Alright then." He said, beginning another song, this one (while ancient) was more recognizable as Soul Sister by Train. It sounded surprisingly good on the saxophone, and he was in the mood for something a bit upbeat at this point.

Hotaru was quiet during the song, though she knew the song he was playing. After a while she ended up humming to it slightly. She was decent at singing, Matsuda had taught her a thing or two, so she had to be at least somewhat okay at it.
The redhead couldn't really believe she was really sitting there with Aiden of all people. It wasn't too long ago that he had sent her to the hospital along with Jack. Although she knew this was probably a once in a lifetime chance the two would talk, it was still weird to her.

Aiden took breath as the last notes faded into the now-dark sky. Street lamps were lit along the street, flickering on one after the other and penetrating the thin blackness (for it was a full moon that night) with a warm yellow glow. The Ookami couldn't help but smile at the city's nightlife slowly waking up from the monotony of day.

Hotaru smiled slightly as the song came to an end. She looked around at how dark the city had become. After a moment or two she sighed quietly.
"Well, guess I should go now." she told him. "Don't wanna bother you too much," she paused. "well, at the moment at least." she then added. She was about to head over towards the door to leave when she looked back at him. "So next time we see each other we'll be back to wanting to kill each other, right?" she asked him to clarify.

"Expect me to take your head off unless Locke is there to stop me." He responded, fiddling once again with his instrument. "And work on your fighting a bit, I'd rather not have you go down too easily." He gave Hotaru a grin and a salute. "See ya round."

Hotaru gave a grin of her own. "See ya." she said simply before walking towards the door and leaving the roof. Well, she certainly did need to improve on her fighting. It was either finding Eva again(which seemed almost impossible) or find someone else to help her out. She'd think back on that later, for now thought, it was time to buy some hair dye.
