Locke stood in line at the concession stand, tapping her high-heeled foot and humming to herself. She had come here to watch Exhibition Duel Day, and it was an intermission. This, of course, meant it was time for some more nachos. Unbeknownst to most of the members of her two lives, the albino actually kept a secret identity of sorts. When she wasn't in the middle of a fight or a Duel, mighty Locke became the outgoing, bubbly Erin Harrison. This was signaled by the fact that her hair was pulled back into a long, snowy braid (a few strands hung in her face, considering the Tora's lack of skill), and she wore more normal clothes. No one would ever guess that such a sweet-looking girl was really a vicious warrior. Even the accent disappeared when Erin was present.

If there was one thing any thief knew it was to always look for (and take) opportunities. This was a rule Tekka exploited regularly, finding that high-price stadium food often drained a wallet in a way that thievery was not noticed and that the drunkenness typically associated with the games made for an easy write-off of the lost loot. In essence, if she wanted to steal, she stole at the arena on a game night.
Tonight was a duel night, but it still drew many people to the stadium and she couldn't POSSIBLY let that pass her by.
Tekka flitted through the crowd, dipping here, dodging there, bumping just-so to make it seem like she was being pushed along. No one took notice of the lightening of their pockets, and Tekka reached for the pocket of a pale girl, making herself look like she was being pushed through the line. Thanks to her size, the ruse typically was plausible and worked well enough.

Locke almost jumped as she felt a hand in her back pocket. Being such an avid fighter sure came in handy. The albino whirled around, braid swinging around and eyes wide. She knew when her pocket was being picked, of course, but a plan was appropriate at this time.
"If you're gonna try and fondle me, you could at least hit on me first!" shouted Locke. It wasn't really surprising to see a sneaky little girl in place of some perverted guy, but a shocked expression crossed her face as she backed up a bit.

Tekka coughed as she got a faceful of hair and (already off balance) actually fell to the floor. She thought hastily. "S-sorry ma'am!" She squeaked, glad for being able to act. "I got shoved and fell..." She trailed off, picking herself up. She made an attempt to appear rattled if not hurt. "Sorry if I startled you." The tiny Tora added on.

Locke tilted her head, causing the braid to hang over her arm (and thus conceal her hand as she checked her wallet pocket, which was empty, as expected). With a smirk, the albino stooped down to look the blonde girl in the eye.
"You're a good actor, kid," she said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "But I'm wise to you. In other words, you have approximately one minute to 'fess up before I go Academy-style on ya." Normally, this wouuld be where Locke would charge, kick, and other such things, but this was Erin, and the most serious thing she dealt in was a Deck.

Tekka simply grinned in response. Speaking in a softer tone so the others around her wouldn't hear. "Fine. I stole your wallet." She winked and removed herself from the albino's grasp. She spoke again, but louder. "But that doesn't mean you get it back." She sang, darting off through the crowd, immersed in her element. After all, with the stadium so packed and the Tora so short, it would take a trained eye to spot her.

Locke's eyes narrowed. Erin was fading fast, and Locke was returning to the surface. The chase was on, and the albino knew just how to catch the little thief. There'd be no way that she'd let a fellow Tora get away with her wallet. Locke took off, pushing people aside with ease and keeping a close eye on her prey. There was one good way to head the blonde off, and so she jumped as high as possible, knocking off the hats, glasses, and other headpieces of several passersby and landing just in front of the thief. This put them in a perfect crossroads; to get away, the smaller Tora would have to run toward the arena, where a new challenge was starting. In other words, Locke could get her money back, either by default, or by ass-kicking with Elemental Heroes.

Tekka saw the shadow pass over her and skidded to a halt, rapidly changing directions. She was being cornered, at this rate she'd need to get down into the open area of the arena to keep her prize. The little thief was half tempted to just give up the wallet (it would be a little lighter mind you) and move on, but she liked this woman's tenacity. Who knew, maybe she'd get a duel too.
Hopping over the guardrail separating the higher ring of stands from the seats the little thief hoped her balance would hold as she leaped from one chair-back to the next. Tekka wondered if the flying whitnette would be able to dive-bomb her, she certainly hoped not.

Locke grinned, seeing that her opponent was thinking along the same lines as her. A Duel was indeed what she had in mind, and if the chase was leading to the center ring, it would be quite the show. The albino sprinted (it was a chore, but only until the heels were kicked off) to the guardrail and vaulted from it, carefully landing right behind the thief. There was no point in actually catching her until the stakes were Locke's to call. She was well aware of exactly how much money she had brough with her, and the wagering process was the easiest way to leave here with all of it.

Tekka couldn't help but let out a laugh as she vaulted over the guardrail. This chase was fun, as was the fall to the ground. Just that light feeling of almost-weightlessness that came from falling and adrenaline and the joy of doing what one loved. She was practically skipping over to the rack of duel disks, the only thing stopping her from actually doing so was that it would probably land her a tomato upside the head for poor showmanship.

Locke grinned as she saw the thief aiming for the rental Duel Disks, glad to see that she was thinking along the same lines that the albino was. Fortunately for her, the Tora was packing her own equipment - the custom Duel Disk that she had created herself. The chase was getting quite close to the center Dueling field, and Locke was sincerely hoping that her adversary wouuldn't chicken out.

Masaru saw a pair of people running and disrupting the crowd. After he noticed they had duel disks he too got his deck ready, whoever won the duel would be the target of his challenge. He saw the pattern in their movements and started calmly walking as close as possible to thestage without bringing much notice to himself.

Grabbing a duel disk of only slightly too large of a size (curse her build to Tartarus and back) and rushing to the center stage she took up a position on one side of the duel field. "Alright then lady!" She grinned, shuffling her deck and putting it in the slot where it was automatically shuffled again. "Show me whatcha got!"

Locke landed easily on the other side of center stage, shuffling her own red-sleeved cards and inserting them into her custom Duel Disk. Whereas the newer models were designed to be curved and sleek, with a bit less room for things like removed-from-play and Extra Deck cards, the albino's equipment was created specifically to accomodate for those things. It was rectangular and blocky, with a design in grays and blacks rather than the standard bright colors. It was not only fitted for sleeved cards, but it had a drawer for cards to be removed from play, as well as one on the other side for her Fusion monsters.
"Right, but you have to promise to give me wallet back, with all of the money and identification inside it if I win," she answered, activating her Duel Disk. "And if you win, I just want the wallet, complete with identification."

Tekka grinned. "Alright, I just wanted the money anyway, and a peek at who you are. I think that's fair, don't you Miss Anonymous?" She smiled. "Since you have more on the line here, you get to go first. No one gets to say that Tekka King has no honor!" She called out, legs a shoulder width apart for balance from what she was sure would be a variety of attacks. She didn't want to stumble over herself in the face of a Burst Stream of Destruction or anything.
