Tekka grimaced as her clown was sliced clean in two, exploding into sparkles of light as her life points dropped to 7850. Not a real big amount of damage, but that was worse than getting out unscathed.

Locke grinned as her monster finished his assault and returned to his spot beside Avian.
"After I switch Avian to Defense Mode, I'll end my turn," she announced. True, the albino was still down by seven hundred points, but comebacks were what the Elemental Heroes were good at, right? Right.

Tekka drew, smiling. "Finally!" She crowed, placing a monster on the field. "I summon Vorse Raider in attack mode!" The axe-wielding beast-warrior sprang from his card with a roar (1900/1200). "Now attack Wildheart!" She didn't make up an attack name for this one because she was almost positive there was an official one that she didn't wanna screw up.

Locke sighed as her monster was brutally slaughtered at the end of a valiant battle between axe and machete, sending her Life Points down to 6750.
"I activate my Trap Card, Hero Signal!" proclaimed the albino with pride. "Thanks to its effect, I can Special Summon an Elemental Hero from my hand or Deck, so let's give a warm Hatsu Itonami welcome to Dom - I mean, Burstinatrix!" In a literal blaze of glory, the red-clad heroine jumped into existence as the H moved around in the sky above the arena.

Tekka slapped her forehead and attempted to suppress a giggle at the phrasing. It didn't work out so well. She was still grinning as she gestured for Erin to take her turn. "Your move."

Locke smiled, as was often for Erin, the might-as-well-be-a-cheerleader alter ego. She drew her next card enthusiastically and let out a triumphant laugh.
"Now, it's time for Avian and Burstinatrix to go to the Graveyard for something with a little more sizzle!" yelled the albino with glee. The two heroes disappeared, and there was a pause of several seconds before Locke slapped the newest card onto the Duel DIsk. In their place rose a hero in gold, wielding a mighty sword. "Elemental Hero Bladedge!"

Tekka couldn't suppress a squee of glee. "He's so shiny!!!" She squealed, not for the first time wishing the monsters were real, honestly, a chunk of that armor would be SO cool.

Locke nodded, understanding perfectly why Tekka would be fascinated by the gleaming armor. Such was the trait of a thief.
"Indeed he is, and His Shininess is gonna be right here in front of me, defending my Life Points," she explained as the golden hero settled into a crouch in front of the albino. "WIth that, I end my turn."

Tekka drew her card. "Alright, for starters I'll activate my Fissure spell card!" The magic flipped up from its place on the field, a gaping hole ripping its way towards Bladedge. "It destroys one monster on your side of the field with the lowest attack points!" She had been saving this for just such a situation, and if Erin's last facedown could stop it, Tekka would soon find out.

Locke cocked her head to the side, long white braid swinging as she pouted and sent her best Elemental Hero to the Graveyard.
"Looks like wallets aren't the only thing you steal, kid," said the albino. "Stupid invisible Gandolf..."

Masaru laughed slightley to himself in the crowd, the duel had so far been between monsters so weak he would never consider them for his own deck but now it seemed like things were geting fun with the more powerful cards.

"Now I'll put a card face-down and have Vorse Raider attack you directly!" Another brown-backed card appeared in front of the small Tora and the beast-warrior flung his axe towards Erin yet again. Tekka looked on in anticipation, hoping that the facedown wouldn't wound her monster or her life points.
