Aiden glanced up, moving onto the muffins after decimating his eggs. "If she had a bracelet on, it was probably 'cause the government dragged her back or killed her. There are tacking chips in them so it's impossible to get out of the war once you're in it." Unless you had someone on the inside to pull you out that was.

Locke took a fraction of a second to observe that Aiden's speed when eating could easily beat her own running speed. However, all that meant was that the albino would have to crank her game up a notch or three. She began tearing through her own muffins, quite thankful when a server came around with the teapot to refill her cup.
"Don't really remember a bracelet," replied Locke nonchalantly. "Didn't really matter to me. Yeah, I was smitten, but nothing could ever keep me from a good brawl, not even when I was a kid." Another question came to her mind, but she wasn't too sure if she wanted to ask. After all, Aiden was finally being talkative, at least for his record.

Aiden paused for a bit, brows furrowed. "Smitten with what or who?" he asked. A bit confused at this point. He had even paused eating, though when he remembered that they were in an unofficial contest her resumed, giving Locke half of his attention while the other half occupied itself with cramming as much food down his throat as possible. French toast was next on his list.

Locke finished the last muffin on her side of the table, turning toward the luxuriant stack of French toast just as Aiden was about to. Apples and pears, did this place know how to serve food with style!
"With the immigrant... and the war, but it's not really important," the albino waved off. It really wasn't relevant to her tale, not there was too much to tell. Certainly no real parental tragedy or sibling hatred, to be sure.

Aiden shrugged. "Whatever." He said, not really caring which gender the Tora preferred. He actually was more open with her than he had been with most of his clan mates. The least he could do would be to not tell her to fuck off. Besides, there was only so much he was willing to be opposed with while eating, lesbianism didn't make the cut.

Locke was just a bit surprised that such a simple fact had made Aiden pause. Eh, it gave her a chance to finish up the French toast and turn to the neglected hash browns and sausage links.
"Anyway..." the Brit pressed on. "If Tekka's your little sis, then is Jack older or younger?" Locke couldn't help it - she hadn't had the experience of a real family, so even highly dysfunctional ones intrigued the hell out of her.

"Younger," He said, cramming the syrupy toast down his throat at an impressive rate before noming on a bite of rather sausage that had been sitting in the syrup. "By two years." Deciding that the sweetened sausage was tasty, he dipped more of the links in the syrup before they disappeared.

Locke would have followed Aiden's example, had she still had sausage left to dip, but the hash browns were her current concern. She finished them without much chewing, and breathed a sigh of relief when she realized that they had cleared the first part of the enormous meal.
"So, does he get better treatment than your sister, then?" asked the albino, once she had some tea down her throat to make speech possible again.

Aiden moved onto the hash browns without too much of a rush. There would be time before . "Yup." He responded. "She's made her dislike of me apparent, just as I have made clear my dislike of her. However I have very little to hate about my brother."

Hmm... So he hates his sister, at least respects his brother, and misses his mum... assessed Locke, looking at her nails briefly before deciding to venture to another aspect of her new companion's background.
"What about your father, then?" the Brit wondered. "Is he anywhere near worthy of recieving your love, like your mum was?" It was essentially the last piece to Aiden's puzzle. Depending on his answer, the albino could figure out pretty much exactly what made him tick.

Aiden mulled that one over for a bit, still eating the hashbrowns. "Mmm... no. He's not." He took a few more bites before elaborating. "He hasn't really been around for quite sometime. He comes home but he doesn't play a large role in our lives, he spends most of his time at work." Actually, there were several week-long stretches that he didn't come back at all. If memory served than those stretches were getting longer and longer. The Ookami wouldn't be surprised if he just up and left when Tekka turned eighteen.
Polishing off the potatoes Aiden leaned back in his chair sipping his coffee. Deeming it time for him to ask another question or two he began probing back. "Did you have any siblings back at your old home?" He asked. "And how did you get onto a plane alone when you were seven? Security wouldn't really let you pass by yourself."

There it was. Locke had successfully figured out what Aiden's deal was, and for once, her hunch made sense. His bad mood came from a basic lack of parents, having essentially lost them both, combined with the fact that he had to play the role of big brother to a respectable brother and a sister that he deemed a murderer. However, the albino was far from conceited enough to go about saying that she knew what her sparring partner was all about. Understanding a person was part of building a friendship, and Locke had had precious few of those in her lifetime. She took a sip of her tea and smiled at Aiden.
"No siblings, but I used to be a very good actor," she answered. "All I did was tag along at the end of a large family. Turns out, the parents had accidentally bought an extra ticket, so none were the wiser." The Brit's stomach made an odd sound that combined a gurgle and a growl, and she almost couldn't repress a giggle. Somehow, Locke was actually still hungry, even after a normal breakfast.

Aiden chuckled. "Good to see you're not full yet, otherwise we might have to cancel the order." And they hadn't even gotten to the scones yet. Aiden liked scones. He liked them very much. "I'd hate to let the scones go stale..."

Locke gave her companion/opponent a thumbs-up, unable to stifle a giggle or two. She was actually sort of glad that she'd found a way to have fun. In the twelve years that the albino had lived in Hatsu Itonami, she had yet to face anyone as challenging as Aiden.
"I'm most excited for the cinnamon buns, personally," she remarked. "My only worry's that I'll get a bulging gut from all this. It wouldn't help much for my agility..."

Aiden shrugged. "It'll make it easier for me to hit ya next time around. So I'm not complaining." He used his size to his advantage, so it didn't bother him as much as it did the busty albino.
