Locke grinned inwardly. So Aiden couldn't resist a challenge... This might be more fun than even the sparring match.
"Ooh, I love muffins!" gushed the albino. "I'll take a couple, as well. Banana nut, if you don't mind, and the French toast sounds lovely, too." Eyeing her companion, she said, "and... I'd like some buttermilk waffles."

Aiden was grinning by this point. "Yeah, that sounds great get me an order of those too. And some scones. You have scones, don't you?" He turned to Chance with a glare that said, 'You BETTER have scones.' There was a hint, (possibly the glint in his eye) that suggested what would happen if the Wok DIDN'T have scones.
"Y-yes, we have scones." Chance gulped and scribbled down the increasing volume of food, flipping to the next sheet to finish up this part of the order.

"Yes, some scones would be nice..." agreed Locke. "I'd like a few, too. Oh, and you know what I've been craving for some time, now?"
"What's that...?" Chance asked, his face beginning to lose its thin veil of cheer.
"Biscuits and gravy!" the albino answered cheerily. This almost actually caused the poor waiter to sigh.
"Bacon or sausage gravy?" he inquired listlessly. Locke thought for a moment and snapped her fingers.
"The former, please," she said, her grin growing.

Aiden cut in, "A couple of those for me too, same gravy. And cinnamon buns, I'm in the mood for cinnamon buns too." He was positive that Chance's eye twitched a little as he pressed pen to paper. There was no way they'd eat it all, but it was fun ordering it. Chance's reactions were a fun bonus.

Locke looked at Aiden, then at Chance. The Ookami sitting across from her seemed to enjoy seeing the waiter get flustered, and she had to agree with his silent smirk.
"Gotta love those cinnamon buns," concurred the Brit. "As a matter of fact, they sound good enough for me to order some as well. Oh, and a bagel or two. Anything but raisin, if you don't mind. Can't stand those things in my food..." The waiter was looking rather concernedly at his pad of paper at this point, which Locke just noticed had already been running low. From the way Chance's eyes moved, they were getting close to the end of their second page, and the albino guessed that there were maybe one or two more to go.

Aiden's grin from the beach was back. "That sounds delicious, I'll have four of them, any other flavor than what she's getting though, and can you have them toasted?" He blinked as if realizing something. "Ah! I remember what else I wanted, my brother told me about it before, those cheesy jalapeno grits. Three orders of that."
Chance's grip on the pen tightened as he flipped to the third page, scribbling down the orders with increased fury. The eye-twitch was more pronounced and several groups of people were stopping their conversations to see what all the hullabaloo was about.

"Something spicy would hit the spot..." Locke mused. She looked up at Chance once again, grinning almost as widely as Aiden. "I'll have four orders of those, and... Oh, I feel rather unhealthy for eating all of this fatty stuff. How about some fresh canteloupe?" By this time, the albino had noticed the eye-twitch, and it was most of what she could do not to laugh. He was almost visibly irritated by now, and Locke would be sad to see the paper run out. Games that could end were so sad...

Aiden nodded. "Yeah, cantaloupe would really hit the spot, and some grapefruit too. And strawberries, they're still in season." He grinned at Chance, head resting on his hand. "And you know what goes great with fruits like those?" He asked.
Chance sighed. "I'm almost afraid to ask..." He muttered under his breath before asking louder, "What?" He looked miserable by this point, only heightening the Ookami's amusement.
"Shortcake... Or angel food cake. Actually, both." He nodded. "Both of 'em. Three of each." He slapped his hand on the table thrice for emphasis.

Locke almost couldn't help but give her companion a double thumbs-up. Although he was being a bit more inventive than she had planned, this was a blast.
"You know, strawberries and grapefruit do go great with canteloupe, and those cakes would accompany them rather well," she agreed. "Oh, and some of that vegetarian breakfast casserole would be nice. I can't believe I almost forgot to order some." Locke was wondering at this point if Chance perhaps knew that they were just competing to wear him down. By the look on his face, he'd be afraid to turn in the enormous orders for fear of being accused of a practical joke.

Aiden gave a thumbs-up back as Chance turned onto his fourth and final page. "I can't believe you almost forgot either," He remarked in clearly false horror. "That'd be like coming here and not ordering a bacon and spinach souffle. Speaking of, I'll have one of each."
By this point he was pretty sure Chance was half-hoping his pen would just randomly run dry. Aiden was hoping it was one of those pens that lasted years and were really cheap because that would make this last longer.

Locke rubbed her hands together and smiled. Chance looked positively frightened at this gesture, but the customer was always right.
"I'd love to try some bacon-spinach souffle," chimed in the albino. "Also, I feel like having a couple of those wonderful breakfast chicken sandwiches. Could I get fried egg and cheese on them, too?" Chance nodded worriedly, scratching with painfully tight strokes. By the sound of the pen on paper, it was getting a little harder to get the ink out. This of course, was most likely a good thing. Locke wanted to eat at least some breakfast food before lunch rolled around.

Aiden got out of his chair a bit to peer at the list. "Put me down for a couple of those too, eh?" He requested with a grin. Chance jerked away, scratching out the last order before the ink ran dry.
"Alright!" He said before either of them could cut in. The cheer leaking through his voice. "Unfortunately we have reached the... uh... ordering capacity, any more and our chefs will be overwhelmed. My apologies but I'll have to take them this order as it is.." He gave a bow and Aiden have him a light (from Aiden's point of view) whack on the head, sending him stumbling back a bit.
"Your order will be out in a bit..." He hissed out, making a beeline for the kitchen.

Locke looked on as the portly waiter did his hasty bow and dashed off toward the kitchen, but not without receiving a lump from Aiden. At this, she actually couldn't tell with whom she sided. The good part of her felt rather bad for Chance; he hadn't done anything to really deserve such a pop-knot. However, he had been rather snotty with them toward the end. As he disappeared, the albino turned back to her Ookami companion.
"So that's what makes you tick, hm?" she asked, once again trying to be conversational. "You live for competition. Guess that explains why you were having such a good time on the beach."

Aiden bounced the idea around in his head for a little before moving it in the negative. "Nah, it's fun but that's not exactly what I live for." Though if she were to ask exactly what it was that he DID live for he wasn't so sure he'd be able to give her a definite answer.

Locke pursed her lips, trying to figure out how to get underneath the shell that rested on top of Aiden's mind. Thanks to the clan salary, the albino had been able to save up and go to college. Night classes, nothing extravagant, but she found psychology to be quite interesting, and the Ookami was a great test of what she knew.
"So... you like to compete, but that's not what moves you?" asked the Brit, connecting her hands at the fingertips. "I'm guessing that, due to your aggressive and... abrasive nature, that you're not quite sure of what exactly drives you."
