Daemon looked up at Emma and smiled widely as he played. They had similar tastes then. He looked back at the keys as the song got a faster. "I've been playing this one for a few years. I love the lyrics as well. It tells a sad but beautiful story." he said as he played. He had no idea it was Emma's favorite, but he could definitely see why. It was one of his favorites as well. "I still can't decided on one song as my favorite." he added, chuckling.

Emma laughed. "It certainly is pretty." she agreed as she kept listening to it. "And yeah, it's hard to pick just one favorite sometimes." It took her a while before she could say without a doubt that this one was her favorite, everything else was just was beautiful her to.
She came across a thought that made her smile more, one of her childhood memories of her dad playing for her. "Hey, can you play Moonlight Sonata? That's my dad's favorite to play." She was just curious, hearing that song always gave her a happy feeling because of all the good memories that came with it.

Daemon nodded and carefully closed off My Soul, My Beats and started up the slow and dark Moonlight Sonata. "This was one of the first few songs I learned to play. It's not fast so it was easier than some of the others I'd picked out." He said as he played the song. Anytime he played he let himself get lost in the music, so he couldn't help but close his eyes as he played. Sometimes he'd play songs and close his eyes to remember the sheet music. Other times, like this, he'd just play with his thoughts swirling.

Emma listened to the song as he played. "The song's been drilled into my head I've heard it so many times, and it never gets old." she commented before going silent again. As much as she enjoyed the dancing that her mother taught her, she always felt more drawn to making music. There was just something wonderful about it that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

Daemon smiled behind his closed lids as he slowly finished off the song and trailed into one of his favorites. "I actually prefer this one with the rest of the instruments, but it's still great on the piano." He explained as he played. He couldn't help but hum along with the lyrics that should be there. "And listen to the music of the night." he sang along quietly to himself.

She had heard the song before but it wasn't familiar to her as the others he had played before. Emma glanced at Daemon as he started to sing, he had a great voice. Seriously, was there anything the Tora couldn't do? It was so weird, but really sweet at the same time.

Daemon ended the song earlier than it was supposed to be ended and morphed into another song. "I think if I had to pick a favorite artist it'd be Ludovico Einaudi, you probably haven't heard of him. His music always calms me and helps me focus." He said as he played Fly, one of the faster ones. "It sounds best with all the other instruments with it." He added as an afterthought.

Emma nodded along and paid attention to the song. He was right, she hadn't heard on him before, but the song sounded nice. "It still sounds good, even without the other instruments." she commented as he played. After a little while longer she spoke again. "Oh, you didn't let me tell you how much I liked that first song, the one you made?" she looked back at him. "It was really beautiful, you've got a gift."

Daemon felt his cheeks heat up as he continued to play. He shrugged slightly. "It's nothing." he replied. He didn't think that making songs was a big deal. It was only the piano, not a full song with other instruments. "But thank you." he added after a moment, his face still warm. He was glad she didn't know why he wrote the song, but the fact that she liked it made his heart skip.

Emma smiled and nodded. "Of course!" she looked around the room for a moment, trying to find the clock. How long had they been in here anyway, it felt like it'd been a while.
She came across the clock and saw the time. "Oh shoot! I'm supposed to meet Tyler in a few minutes!" she exclaimed hurriedly. She stood up and turned back to Daemon. "Sorry I gotta go so soon." she said, fidgeting with her hands. She felt bad for leaving him so soon, but she'd already promised her twin they'd go hang out that evening. She bit her lip for a second. "...So I'll see you later?"

Daemon looked up at her and smiled warmly. "Of course." he replied, then added. "And Emma, thank you." She had really calmed him, he was more than thankful. Had she not been there he was sure his thoughts and feelings would have overrun and it wouldn't have been good.

She giggled again at that. "No problem, it's what friends do!" She had to make sure she added that in there one more time before she left, just in case he started to doubt again. She waved to him before skipping off out of the room, wait until Tyler heard about this.

Daemon stared at the empty door after she left. She was serious about being his friend... With that in mind and a smile he turned back to the piano and started to compose something new.
