To say Emma was nervous would have been an understatement. The grey eyed teen had asked Hajime if they could possibly hang out for the day, and the only place that seemed like any fun to go to was Fire Mountain. She didn't know WHY she had a weird feeling in her stomach, it wasn't a bad feeling though. She just figured that since the two of them hadn't had time to hang out without awkward company with them, and she thought this would be as good a time as any since Tyler had gone out for the day and her cousins were, well being themselves.
She pushed the uneasiness aside and looked up at Hajime, fidgeting with her hair a little. "Hope I didn't take you away from anything important." She teased, smiling.

"No, of course not," Hajime replied quickly. He paused, trying to better pace his response. "I usually don't have anything going on, so don't worry about it." He felt a little weird, talking to Emma one on one like this. It wasn't as if they hadn't done so before but... he felt a little flustered. But that was odd, considering that there was really nothing at all to be nervous about... wasn't there?
"So," the Tora continued, trying to keep his sputtering brain preoccupied. "Did you have anything specific in mind that you wanted to do today?"

Emma looked around as they walked. "Well, there's lots of things I guess." She started, trying to list a few things. "The arcade isn't too busy right now I don't think, the skating rink, and I think there's actually a band playing today." She wasn't particulary good at video games, but she wouldn't mind going if Hajime wanted to. Anything else she was really perfectly fine with. "So does anything sound like fun? Or should we keep looking?" She didn't want things to get awkward, it was strange being the talkative one of the group for once, but Hajime kinda made it easy.

"The arcade could be fun," the green-haired teen suggested. It hadn't seemed all that crowded when they had passed by it earlier, and Fei Yen was always telling him he should consider spending more time there. Plus, video games could efficiently fill an awkward gaps in conversation (which were likely to happen when at least one of the people talking was as socially inept).

Emma nodded and smiled. "Arcade it is then!" She agreed, steering them back in the direction of the arcade they had passed earlier. "Maybe you can teach me a thing or two? I've never been all that great, but I've still wanted to try." She scratched her cheek a little and laughed quietly.

"I can try my best," Hajime offered with a dry chuckle. "I'm not exactly a gaming champion either... but I know I thing or two, I suppose." Fei was his cousin after all, and she lived on a solid diet of parties and video games. He had picked up a few things whenever she forced her presence onto him.

Emma smiled a little more. "Well I'm sure you're better than I am." She laughed as the two walked into the arcade. The Kuma had to admit, she'd never actually stepped into this place other than when she was looking for her brother a few times in the past.
She clasped her hands together as she looked around at the different games. "I don't know where to start..." she trailed off, unsure of what game would be good to start off with first.

Hajime's eyes roamed the arcade, weighing his options. Something on the simpler side would probably be a better idea. No zombie-killing first person shooters, or anything of that sort. The green-haired Tora's attention was drawn to a nearby fighting game. It wasn't overly complicated, and he recalled it being pretty fun in the past.
"How about we try over here?" He motioned to the game in question. "I have some quarters on me that we can use for now." If they ran out he could always use the change machine near the front. The only good thing about Hajime's job, in his opinion, was having a steady paycheck and spare cash to burn.

Emma looked in the direction Hajime had pointed out. "Alrighty," she said, skipping over to the fighting game not too far off. She looked at the controls to try and figure out how to work it. Simple punch and kick, a special move button, it looked like something she could play hopefully without any trouble. "I think I can do this!" She exclaimed lightly, blushing just the slightest bit as she hoped to herself that she wouldn't embarrass herself infront of the green haired teen.

Hajime couldn't help but smile at Emma's enthusiasm. He figured he would give her a bit to get used to the controls before really trying, just to give her a fair chance. Hajime wasn't really into winning for the sake of winning anyway.
"The red button is for normal hitting, the blue one is for special moves, and you use the joy stick to move," the Tora explained as he fed the game some quarters. "You hit the blue button when the bar at the top of your side of the screen is full, otherwise it won't work." He took his position at the rightmost controls and gave Emma a small, encouraging smile. "Got it?"

Emma nodded as Hajime explained the controls to her. "So blue's special, yeah I think I got it." She insisted, pressing the start button once the quarters were in. The game came to the character selection and Emma looked at the different potential people for her to chose from. She finally settled on the only girl whose costume WASN'T revealing and waited for Haji to pick his person.

Hajime normally wasn't all that picky when it came to his character. He typically picked whoever he thought had the coolest design (in this case being the obviously oriental guy with fabulous hair). Perhaps it was a tad childish, but that was the way he had always done stuff like this.
A deep rumbling voice announced the beginning of the match. Hajime threw a rather sparse amount of punches at first, deciding to gauge Emma's reaction before increasing his efforts.

Emma took a couple of seconds to get adjusted well enough to move and press the different buttons at the same time. When she thought she had the hang of it she tried hitting him with a few punches to see where that would get her.

Emma really wasn't all that bad of a gamer, Hajime noted before returning his attention to the game. He put a bit more effort into his moves for the rest of the round, figuring his opponent could handle herself pretty well.
"You're not half bad," the green-haired Tora commented cooly. He meant it as a sincere compliment. For claiming to be not too great at video games, Emma was doing a pretty decent job.

Emma blushed a little at the compliment. "Thanks," she said as she kept playing. "I watch my brother play a lot, so I guess that helps some.." Well, at least she wasn't making an idiot of herself, that was always good. She was just glad that Hajime didn't look like he was bored around her.
