"Mm." Hajime nodded and rose from his seat. He leaned over to toss out his garbage before shoving his hands into his pockets. Going back the way they'd come probably wouldn't lead to anything interesting, he reasoned, so the pair might as well keep walking they direction they had from the arcade. "You wanna head this way?" the Tora asked, using his head to motion forward.

Emma nodded quickly. "Sure!" she bit her lip a little, maybe that was too much? She could have smacked herself right then if it wouldn't cause a scene, she was being ridiculous!
On the outside she was fine for the most part, walking along in the direction Hajime had suggested. "So what do you normally do in your free time when you're not wondering around Fire Mountain?" It was kind of a lame attempt at conversation, but it was still better than walking in awkward silence.

Hajime thought for a moment before answering. "Most of the time I go home and visit my parents. Otherwise I'm usually practicing violin or, erm," he lowered his voice a tad, "sewing and stuff." He normally didn't mention that aspect of his hobbies, so it was a bit awkward to talk about. Although Emma had kinda of already seen him at it, so it didn't make much of a difference. It was still a little embarrassing, though.

Emma giggled at the last part of his response. "Oh there's nothing wrong with sewing, you saved me some time with it after all." Her bag was currently in her dorm room since she only used it for school, but man was it still going strong thanks to Haji. "Don't be so shy other something you're good at." Maybe she should take her own advice, then again it wasn't like she was that good at the piano or dancing, at least not as good as her parents were.

"Yeah, well. Not everyone sees it that way." He recalled being teased quite a few times for his more "feminine" hobbies in the past. At least, before his growth spurt began to instill an odd sort of fear in his classmates. Not that Hajime himself had done anything to help it. Being stoic and anti-social in the back corner of the room certainly didn't make a person seem any friendlier.

"Well you shouldn't listen to them." Emma replied instantly. "They're just a bunch of jerk. Besides, between you and Roman I'm sure you could just scare them off by giving them the wrong look." With BOTH of their appearances and Roman's nasty rep they could do some damage without actually hurting someone. Not that it was something to be abused, 'with great power comes great responsibility' and all that.

"Thanks." Hajime issued a barely audible sigh. "Truth is I've been getting better at ignoring people- I mean, I normally did that in the first place. But I've just stopped caring about what they think about me. I mean, I care about what you think and, um..." His words began to speed up as he tried to salvage the conversation. ""And Roman too, I guess. I just kinda figure that the people I'd want to impress are the ones who like me either way... Or something..."

Emma nearly felt her heart skip a beat for a moment, feeling a little hopeful. Though what hope there was was quickly buried as he continued with his sentence. Ah, so he cared about her like he did Roman? So just like a friend? It was sweet, and she appreciated it, but it didn't help the little bit of disappointment that sunk in her chest.
She did her best to ignore though and continued on with the conversation. "Good, then those people's opinions shouldn't matter in the first place." She personally thought that sewing was a neat thing to learn, rather handy too.

"Yeah, I guess not." Hajime shrugged, but it was clear that he a smiling a bit. It was hard not to be in a good mood with Emma around. The girl just oozed positivity.

Emma laughed quietly, blushing a bit and smiling a little more as she saw Hajime's own smile. Wow, he really was cute...
The smaller teen blushed a little darker, looking down at her feet as she walked. "Y-you know..." she started sheepishly. "I'm really glad I asked you out today." her eyes widen a bit at how she'd worded it. Gah, she didn't mean asking him out, okay she did but... not ASKING him out. Why was she such an idiot?!

Hajime paused and turned to face his companion. His eyes had widened a bit as well, although he was doing his best to hide it. His cheeks turned pink and his brain began to process what had just been said.
"Well, I, uh, I'm really glad you asked me." Despite fumbling with his words, Hajime sounded completely sincere.

Emma's blush darkened even more, and she was nearly tempted to slap her face for being so STUPID. Instead she just giggled lightly, not knowing where else to go with the topic without making things awkward. She continued walking with Hajime, trying to find something else that was worth doing around here. Well, she wasn't really looking exactly, her eyes kept taking glances at the green haired teen that he hopefully wouldn't notice.
