Hajime could understand that. The only times he really played video games was when visiting his cousins or when Shinji asked him to. He didn't dislike them at all, they had just never really been his thing.
The green-haired Tora allowed his eyes to drift from the screen for a moment and turned his gaze towards Emma. She was blushing a bit, just barely enough to be noticeable, but it was enough to illicit a similar response from Hajime himself. He really couldn't help it. He'd made the observation that Emma was pretty darn cute soon after meeting her, and now it was difficult not to think about.

Emma was focused on not screwing up on the game that it took a while for her to notice Hajime had been looking at her. A smile crept up to her lips and she glanced at him quickly. "I uh.. I think you're losing..." she mumbled quietly.
It was strange, she hadn't really hung out with JUST another guy other than the ones in her family. She supposed that had to do with why she was feeling the way she was, right? But there was no reason to have that strange knot feeling in her stomach; Hajime was nice and sweet and there was no way he would do something to hurt her feelings. Then again, there was the off chance that the weird feeling was because of something else entirely...
Nah, that couldn't be it. She'd know better if that was the case.

Hajime's eyes darted back to the screen to see that his sudden lack of attention had allowed Emma to gain the upper hand. The Tora flushed a bit, hoping she hadn't noticed him staring. He decided to focus all of his attention of hitting buttons, hoping that would clear his head some.

Emma giggled quietly and focused on playing again. Hajime was acting a bit strange, but in a way that she found really cute. She wouldn't express these thoughts out loud though, who knew how he would react? Anyway, she didn't even know WHY he was being this way. Maybe he felt just as awkward as she was with this whole thing? Hopefully that feeling would pass for the both of them as time went on today, it was a possibility.
Emma's eyes widen in surprise once she'd seen that she won. She laughed cheerfully and jumped in place once or twice as she clapped her hands together. "Wow, I did it!" Really, it probably had to do with the upper hand she had gotten when the green haired teen wasn't paying attention to the game, or beginners luck. Either way, a win was a win!

Hajime blinked at the screen in mild surprise before allowing his mouth to curve into a small, amused smirk. Emma seemed quite pleased with herself.
"Best two out of three," he suggested while digging around in his pocket for more quarters.

"You're on!" Giggled Emma as she got herself back together to play another round. She wasn't sure if she would actually win again, but she'd be lying if she said she wasn't having fun.

The character selection screen popped up once again. Hajime ended up picking the same one as before, although he doubted that would make much of a difference. The deciding factor regarding his winning or losing was simply whether or not he could stay focused on the game. (Which could actually turn out to be rather tricky, even if he didn't want to admit it.)
"Let's see if that beginner's luck lasts," the Ookami teased. He was a little surprised at himself for the statement, but he quickly brushed the feeling off.

Emma, like Hajime, had picked the same character she had before as she decided that it was now her good luck character. She giggled quietly so not to be too annoying, but she couldn't help how funny this was. "We'll see about that!"

Just focus on the game, Hajime told himself when the round began. He stubbornly tried to keep his eyes glued to the screen, but in the end he wound up glancing at Emma every so often; however it wasn't anything as awkward and long as the last time (and therefore nothing she would really notice).

Emma kept her eyes on the screen for the longest time, glancing at Hajime every so often. He was really cute, the more he got out of his shell the more she started to notice it. There was a soft blush on her cheeks as she put her attention back on the game.

Even without being (completely) distracted, Hajime had somehow managed to lose to Emma once again. "I'm pretty sure this is beyond a little beginner's luck," he murmured, watching her character strike a victory pose on the screen. Either Emma was a lot better than she claimed to be, or Hajime was even more out of practice than he had originally thought.

Emma giggled and cheered again. "I promise I've never touched this game before~" she insisted through her giggles. The brunette looked around and took Hajime's wrist as she towed him through out the arcade. "Let's find another game to play." She tried hiding her blush from him, she hoped he didn't mind.

Hajime barely had time to think before Emma grabbed his arm. "Y-yeah, sure," he barely managed to spit out his the shorter girl tugged him along. "Whatever you wanna do is fine."

Emma looked around at the different games in the arcade. They were some Ski Ball stations free to use, then DDR was open to play to. Decisions, decisions....
The brunette made her conclusion by figuring that Hajime probably didn't want to dance and letting her play on her own would have just been a little too awkward. "Do you play Ski Ball?" She asked, pointing in the direction. She remembered when she was younger her dad had helped her and Tyler play a few times by lifting them up far enough to toss the ball into the higher score holes. It was cheating, but who cared when you were that little?

"Not regularly," Hajime replied, "but I guess I'm halfway decent." It was all hand eye coordination- something he had a surprising amount of aptitude for. "D'ya want to play that next?"
