Karter paused his walking and bowed to the Ookami, an old-fashioned bow complete with 'kissing' her hand. He stood up swiftly and returned walking immediately afterward, acting like nothing had happened.

All the blood in Yukiko's body flew straight into her face. Her cheeks were warm and stung with little needles of heat. She had, quite honestly, no idea how to react. All the Ookami could do was stand in one place, dazed. She shook her head, coming to her senses and clutching her collar as she moved ahead in a number of quick, wide strides.

A chuckle threatened to force its way past Karter's lips, and he bit down on the inside of his cheek to keep it from surfacing. The Ookami really was too amusing for her own good, and her reactions were priceless. Definitely not a threat to Theo, not a chance in all the world.

The wheels in Yukiko's head were working over time, trying to keep her level-headed and produce an appropriate reaction. Sadly, she couldn't find one. The Ookami was hopeless when it came to boys; she'd been hopeless with them even as a child. You'd think with five younger brothers and spending most of her time with her dad would have given her a decent understanding of the male mind, but it simply didn't. Therefore, she never knew how to act when she was around them... or any human being in general for that matter.
Yukiko suppossed she'd just have to wing it and pray for a distraction to fill the silence.

Karter stopped as they got to the house and tried the door. Unsurprisingly, it was locked. Undeterred, the Tora glanced around, spotting a window above the awning above the door. An OPEN window.
Motioning for Yuki to stay there, Karter climbed up one of the support beams and onto the awning. He strode across it with a quick, businesslike step and ducked into the window. He allowed himself a small giggle to tide himself over for the silence he would have to go through before he made his way back to the door on the first floor.
He unlocked it and opened it, beckoning the Ookami inside.

Yukiko could only watch in awe as her "escort" nimbly shimied up through the open window. She wished she could do that. The most Yuki had ever done was climb a eally big tree, and even then she'd gotten herself stuck. She'd had to wait until someone came to help her down.
When the masked man opened the door Yukiko quickly followed him inside. A shiver of exhiliration went through her. Her she was in a strange place with a strange person, and possiblity guilty of breaking and entering. How exciting!

The pair walked down a small corridor with Karter once again in the lead. There HAD to be an office or something nearby, something with a pad of paper and a pen... The alter-ego began looking through the various rooms they came across. If worst came to worst, he could spell out what he wanted to say with fridge magnets, but he'd rather not have to stoop to that.
He made a writing motion on his hand again, hoping that Yuki might be able to help him locate the elusive items.

"Something to write with...?" Yukiko made a thoughtful face. Well, obviously they'd be in an office or study somewhere, but surely there had to be closer resources. At home, the Ookami kept a notepad and pen in almost every room in the house, usually in one of the empty drawers. Yukiko turned to the nearest one, an end table displaying a vase of bright flowers, and began digging through the drawer.
"Normally you'd find pens or something... Aha!" She pulled out a bunch of crisp pink stationary and a matching pen, probably used for writing letters or something. "I guess this could work..."

A smile curled its way onto the masked Tora's face as he took the paper and pen from Yuki. He wrote with his left hand typically, so he began writing with his right hand. He couldn't let the Ookami figure out any defining characteristic about him, despite her being less of a threat than originally thought...
Plus it was fun.
He tested the pen on the corner of the page and wrote out, 'My name is Karter.' In messy, childish script.

Finally, Mister-Mysterious-Mute-Masked-Man had a name (though she'd kind of miss that amazing piece of alliteration). Yukiko grinned through her fingers, one of her quirky habits. For some reason she always hid her mouth when she smiled or laughed.
"It's very nice to meet you, Karter," the Ookami chirped.

He drew a small smiley face before writing out: 'It's good to be fully introduced, Miss Yukiko. If I might ask, how did you wind up here this fine, albeit somewhat dull, day?' He purposefully made himself sound more sophisticated, trying to add to what level of mystery had already accumulated in the Ookami's mind.

"I was bored, and I have a tendancy to wander around when I have nothing to do," the Ookami replied, noting the sophisticated sound of Karter's words. "Which, as it turns out, happens quite often." Sadly, it was true. While Yukiko was making headway with killing her overwhelming shyness, she still had a long way to go before she became a social butterfly. She still seemed to have a dreadfully open schedule.

'So I take it that means that your schedule for the day is entirely open?' He wrote. 'Not a single thing on your itinerary?' Perhaps that sounded creepy... he quickly scribbled down. 'By a fantastic coincidence, so is mine! Perhaps we could do something together?' He drew another small smiley face, this one looking a great deal more hopeful than his original one.

Yukiko's lips twitched into a smile from behind her fingers. She had a habit of covering her mouth with her hand whenever she was happy; just another one of her many quirks. The Ookami found the idea of having an actual human companion instead of her IPod for company was incredibly pleasing. Plus, that smiley face was really cute.
"I'd like that," she chirped. Yukiko removed her hand from her face and cocked her head to the side. "Did you have anything particular in mind?"

Fingers tapped the page of the pad to an old army tune from long long ago. After a moment, he shrugged, making sure it was exaggerated to give a clear message: "I have no freaking clue."
