Tekka nodded and then giggled. She wondered how it would look with the little kid paying for ice cream for an older teen. It seemed kinda silly to her. "No problem!" She giggled. "But, uh, you gotta find the ice-cream place... I get lost a lot..." And she was only nine, it wasn't like she had the whole town memorized!

Greg laughed and nodded. "Gotcha." he said, walking in the right direction to the ice cream shop. It wasn't too far if he remembered right, he remembered his mother use to take him there when he was little.
"So why not tell me a little about yourself, Tekka?" he asked, decided to try to make conversation during the trip there. He was a little curious about the thief-in-training, and plus she seemed pretty cool.

Tekka smiled. "Well, I'm nine, and both my brother's are in Ookami. I like ta make stuff and dueling 's alright so long as I get to use my fiends." She thought for a moment as she quickened her pace to keep up. "And my dad works in the government, but I dunno if he likes it much. Aiden doesn't like me much," She paused remembering that Greg didn't know who that was. "Aiden's my biggest brother, and Jack's my other big brother." She clarified, and then took a breath.

Greg nodded, listening to her patiently. "I've got a big brother, too." he told her. "His name's Yusuke. Not really one of the nicest guys out there but he's alright I guess. Then there's another girl in the gang, Eva, she's like my big sister too. Then there's Boss..." he trailed off, blushing a little. "She's my best friend, but I kinda like her too..." there was a big grin on his face, but he decided to wipe it off a moment later. Only Eva knew about the crush he had on Hotaru, it felt kinda odd to be spilling about that out of nowhere.

Tekka giggled, she didn't think she'd EVER fall in love with a boy, but it was nice to hear that the gangster had a soft spot. "You should tell her." She said, smiling. "I bet she'd be real happy, you're super nice!" At least, she thought so. He had taught her how to steal, so he was all cool in her book.

Greg grinned a little wider, but kept it to a minimum. "Nahh." he said with a laugh. "She probably wouldn't like me all that much if I told her, she's not really looking for a boyfriend right now." He didn't mind it though. Yeah, it was a bummer, but it didn't really matter as long as he could still talk and hang out with her like always. He was afraid that little confession might screw it all up, and he wasn't about to take that chance.

Tekka pouted. "But what if she DOES get innerested?" She pestered, keeping with her train of thought. "An' what if she actually DOES like ya but she just doesn't wanna tell you or sumthing?" Greg needed to understand what was at stake here, and the nine-year-old refused to stop until she made sure he knew.

Greg shrugged, still grinning. "Then I guess I'm just out of luck, huh?" he said, patting her head again. As much as he would like to tell her, he had already made up his mind that it would be for the best to keep quiet about it. He might tell her if something were to happen and he'd never get to see her again, like a last words sorta thing. But then again, he didn't really see that happening. Oh well, guess he just had to keep his mouth shut.

Tekka huffed. Boys could just be so DUMB sometimes, she decided to let the topic drop, however. "So whaddya do in a gang anyhow?" She asked instead.

He shrugged, putting his hands behind his head as he walked. "I think the movies tell it somewhat accurate what we do." he said. "Besides, it's not like I'm gonna spill to a kid what we do." he grinned, trying to sound a little teasing about it when really he was just being a little cautious. She said her dad worked for the government, he didn't want to take a chance on getting his gang in trouble 'cause he couldn't keep quiet. "But, let's just say we do almost anything possible to piss off the government."

Tekka puffed herself up indignantly. "'M not a kid!" She corrected a little angrily. Still, pissing off the government sounded fun, and it wasn't like she would go and tell her dad. He'd ask why she had been talking to a gangster in the first place, and then she'd get in trouble.

The purple haired gangster laughed. "Yeah, sure." he said. "Well, how about a young lady? Does that sound any better?" he asked her with a smile. She certainly wasn't a full grown woman, so he figured the term fit.

Tekka frowned. "That's worse... I don't wanna be a lady, they're too girly..." And they wore dresses and make up and stupid stuff like that. She wasn't EVER gonna do that, not ever! "If I gotta choose, call me kid instead of young lady." Be a kid was way better than that frilly lacy lady junk.

Greg laughed. "Alright, kid it is." he grinned as they finally arrived at the ice cream store. "Well, here we are!" he said, opening the door. "Ladi- er, kids first." he laughed, gesturing for Tekka to go before him. Gangster or not, the guy still had his manners.

Tekka smiled and bowed before stepping into the shop. Her nose was immediately assaulted by the scent of sugar, sweet and slightly intoxicating. It was nice, and she started bouncing around, craning her neck to get a peek at all the flavors.
