Greg twitched a little; he had always had a soft spot for kids. A bunch of the guys in the gang would often get onto him for being such a sissy when it came to it, but he couldn't help it.
"I dunno..." he muttered, tugging his hat down a little so he could avoid that puppy look he was getting. He had to be a man, like Yusuke always said! It was kinda hard though when confronted with one of the things that ruined his 'cool and calm' act. "It's kinda dangerous..." he didn't sound too confident however.

Tekka shook her head. "I don't care 'bout that, I just wanna help my family. Duels don't do enough..." She knew how to duel, of course, but street duels made her lose as much as she won. It just wasn't enough if she wanted to help keep the house. "Please Mr. Greg, ya gotta help! I can't ask anyone else!" She clutched at the hem of his shirt and looked up at him, turning up the puppy-eyes another notch.

Greg looked down at Tekka again, twitching a little more when he saw the puppy-eyes turned up a little. He could refuse, he knew he could! Hotaru and Yusuke both would give him hell if they found out he was helping out some little kid. But on the other hand, she really did look like she needed help, he couldn't just ignore that...
He sighed in defeat. "Fine." he huffed out. "I'll help you, I guess..." he looked down at her. "But this stays between be and you. If word gets out I'm helpin' a kid Imma be in deep with my boss." After all, how in the hell would he explain this to Hotaru? Best friends or not, he knew for a fact the redhead wouldn't want him wasting his time like this.

Tekka's face lit up and she leaped back, doing a small twirl before bounding forward again and hugging him. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!" She said, backing off after a moment. "And I won't tell anyone, s'not like I got many people ta tell anyhow." The grin kept growing and the blond began to hop up and down.
"So where d'we start?" She asked happily, the thrill of what she could learn from the gangster was coursing through her. With it, her confidence grew.

Greg sighed again, though this time he smiled. What was the harm in teaching her a couple tricks? "Well," he said, poking his head out of the alley and looking around for potential 'victims'. "first off, you gotta be careful about who you're stealing from." he advised her, still looking. "Since you're starting out, I'd suggest trying to look for a more gullible crowd to snatch from, the kind that would believe whatever an innocent little girl would tell 'em; like old people. But as for me..." he trailed off, finding a couple of teenage girls around his age. He grinned and looked back at Tekka. "Just stand there and act normal, kay?" he told her. "Watch and learn."
The purple haired boy went off into a sprint, crashing into one of the girls(a blond that looked a little too made up for his taste) that were walking by. They both fell and hit the ground, the girl dropping her purse in the process. Its containments: a cellphone, wallet, and good bit of make up supplies, scattered out on the ground and she tried to get them back together. Greg hurried to help her, an embarrassed look clear on his face. You could say what you wanted about him, but the guy was a good actor.
"I-I am so sorry!!" he stuttered. "Are you alright?!" he seemed pretty worried, mentally making sure his hat was out of the way just enough to were the girl could see his crystal blue eyes.
The girl blinked, blushing a little as she averted her eyes from him to get her stuff. "I-It's alright... I just need to get my-"
Greg put his hand over hers to keep her from reaching anything. "Don't worry about it, it's my fault." he insisted, not sounding the least bit suspicious. "I'll get it, don't worry." he showed his best smile, a rather attractive one, and the girl blushed a little more while her friends helped her up. When they got her to her feet, they started giggling and whispering to her with comments like "He's cute" and whatnot, giving him the perfect opportunity to snatch about $10 from the wallet in one quick movement, sweeping it into the purse along with the rest of the items and coming back to his feet.
After a few minutes of chatting, the gangster waved good bye to the girls, walking back to Tekka with a small piece of paper in his hand. The girl had given him her number, in return, he gave her a fake number. The boy grinned when the girls where out of sight, tossing the paper to the ground and pulling out the ten from his pocket and handing it to Tekka for her to keep. "Not much, but she wasn't carrying a lot with her anyway."

Tekka watched carefully, taking it all in and filing it away for potential use when she got older. Maybe if she looked enough like a boy she could try it one day. When he came back she took the the money and grinned. "That was so cool!" She couldn't help but exclaim, eyes shining happily. The blond was begining to formulate a plan for when she crossed paths with anyone that seemed gullible.
She looked over at the street and checked for anyone. "Should I try now?"

Greg nodded, looking around as well. "Sure." he said. "Just remember, innocent and cute. Flirting'll come when you're older." he laughed. "Don't give 'em any reason to suspect you. Now, who do you think would be easy pickings?" he asked her.

"Old or stupid people..." She said, half to herself. The young blond looked around, scanning the crowds of people for anyone that seemed absentminded or gullible. Tekka darted out of the ally as she picked her target. She was an elderly-looking woman, maybe in her seventies. Tekka could say with certainty that she had never seen anyone that old before, but she looked kindly enough.
The eventual Tora clan member decided that a well-timed "fall" certainly wouldn't hurt her case, and so she 'tripped' as she chased a conveniently stray dog down the street. The woman let out a gasp as Tekka tumbled to the ground in front of her.
"My goodness!" She gasped as Tekka got back to her feet, the young blond rubbing at the arm she had fallen on. The woman was decked in jewelry, and while it might have been a bit odd, the girl wanted to just take the shining gems for herself. They looked valuable, especially considering all the gems weren't gaudy enough to be fakes. Even the youngest of the King family knew that. "Are you alright, child?"
Tekka sniffled a little. "I th-think so..." She mumbled, rubbing at her eye. The woman hunched down a little to be on eye-level with her.
"Would you like something to make it better? Ice cream or candy, maybe?" It was obvious that the old woman was concerned, and Tekka was surprised to find that she wasn't guilty for taking her money. In fact, it made her enjoy the prospect even more. The blond nodded a little and the woman pulled a wallet out of a green pocketbook, taking out a twenty and handing it to the girl. It was more than Tekka usually brought home, even if it wasn't much. "Here, buy yourself something sweet, child."
She smiled and took the money, and then held her arms out for a hug, chuckling the old woman stooped a little more and wrapped her arms around her.
Tekka had noted that the woman wore more than a few necklaces, surely she wouldn't miss one..? Small fingers unhooked a thin chain of silver, then 'accidentally' knocked her head against the woman's glasses, knocking them off of her face. As the old woman reached to retrieve them, the blond muttered a 'thank you' and ran off.
A small string of blue sapphires dangled from the chain, and the old woman seemed not to notice, just hurrying on her way as Tekka headed back to Greg.
"Did it!" She cheered, holding up her loot just a bit for inspection. Not enough that anyone on the street would see, just enough that the gangster could get a decent look.

Greg was leaning up against the brick wall beside him, watching Tekka carefully in case she were to mess up and need his help. Luckily though, the little blond seemed to had done a pretty good job, not only swiping some money from the lady but also stealing one of the many necklaces she was wearing.
"Hey, not bad at all!" he grinned, taking a good look at the necklace for a moment. "Looks like there's hope for you after all."

Tekka grinned and pounded her chest proudly with a fist. "'Course there's hope, I'm gonna be the best thief ever!" And she meant that one. She hoped there'd be a day where she'd never need to spend a dime, the thrill was nice, and she could live the high life. She'd never have to worry about losing her home ever again either. The small girl stowed the loot in her pockets and decided to ask a question. "What about pickpocketing, d'ya know how to do that?"

Greg laughed a little at her comment, but paused a moment to think about her question. "Don't really pickpocket too much." he admitted, scratching his cheek sheepishly. "People would notice right off the bat with me. But with how small you are, if we stick you in a big enough crowd I'm sure you wouldn't have much trouble as long as you're careful." he shrugged.

Tekka nodded, though she'd probably have to figure that one out on her own. "Alright... but, um... they won't cut my hands off if I'm caught, will they?" She had seen it in a movie once, a kid was caught stealing and was gonna get his hand chopped off if it hadn't been for some guy on a horse... she wasn't too sure on the details but she knew that much.

Greg laughed slightly, patting the girl's head some. "That's call Cruel and Unusual punishment." he told her. "And as far as I know they don't do that anymore, so I think you're good." he tried to assure her. He remembered he use to be scared of something like that happening too when he was little, but Yusuke's normal reaction was to just suck it up and try anyway(what a nice brother he had, huh?).

Tekka smiled at the pat on the head, it felt good. Her dad did it when she was younger, but he had begun to stop. The little blond thought for a moment and looked up at the gangster. "Um, ya wanna get ice-cream?" She asked him, she had thirty dollars and could sell the necklace for a ton more, so for now she thought celebrating might be a good idea.
Plus, it was kinda the middle of summer... It was hot...

Greg grinned and nodded."Don't see why not." he said. "But you're paying, Little Miss Thief." he winked.
It was pretty fun getting to hang out with someone who DIDN'T have some sort of anger issues for once, even if it was a little kid like Tekka. Yusuke was Yusuke, he was mad nearly all the time. Then Eva had her whole attitude when pushed enough, then of course, there was Hotaru. He loved her to death, he honestly did, but it wouldn't kill her to lighten up a little more.
