Aiden frowned. "But that's not fair, all I did was ask him for directions... Am I that scary?" That didn't seem right, he didn't want to scare people away... He wanted to talk with them and see if they could help him or maybe make another friend. He didn't have too much to go off of, so he figured the more the better.

"You can be." she told him. "Hell, look what ya did to me after all." the blond shrugged. "I'm willing to bet that most the people you're friends with right now either know how to keep you on your good side or are just plain stupid."
Her eyes widened as she realized what she had just said, trying to think up a quick thing to add to that. "B-but that's only at first, when people get to know you, you really surprise 'em with how nice ya really are."

Aiden furrowed his brow, why would people immediately think that? There were people his size and whatnot out on the streets and they didn't look like people were afraid of them... maybe he wasn't doing it right..? Smiling felt kinda weird but if it helped he'd do it more... He decided that he'd just have to relax a little more, he was being paranoid. "Alright, I guess." He said, deciding to let that one go. At least he knew he had been nice before he lost his memory, that was a comfort.

The blond grinned a little wider, playfully punching his shoulder. "C'mon Big Guy, lighten up a little." she joked. "Let's drop this serious crap for a while, eh?" It sounded good to her, she seemed to talk to him better when she was just thinking of him as one of the guys.

Aiden blinked at the punch and gave a friendly swat in return. "Hey!" He laughed out, grinning. "I thought you were supposed to have the crap kicked outta ya. Didn't I do my job right?"

"Ya did." Eva laughed. "But when your me ya get use to sucking up the pain the first few minutes." It was a big thing for her, and helped her out in situations in the past. No one liked a complainer, and while she didn't really care what most people thought, she did admit she'd hate someone complaining about their aches and pains if it were nothing serious. Practice what you preach, right? Right.

Aiden's smile only grew. "Ah! So you get beat up a lot. No wonder!" He snickered to himself, knowing it would probably bring the wrath of hell itself on him. He'd recover though, how hard could it be to fend of a woman who he was a good head taller (and a great deal bigger) than.

Fortunately Eva was in a fairly good mood at the moment, so she just laughed at his little come back. "I've been gettin' in fights all my life Hun, ya don't win 'em all." she pointed out to him. "So yeah, guess you could say I've had my fair share of beatings." she grinned. "Tend to help ya more than hurt ya in the long run, so I don't mind admittin' to it."

Aiden tilted his head. "Howso?" It seemed to him like the injuries would just hurt more than help. How could it help at all, really? He wasn't sure... Though it WAS Eva's job to teach him this sort of stuff, so he didn't mind asking.

"'Course." she told him. "Ya learn better when ya lose than when ya win. It helps you understand your weaknesses better so you can strengthen them and improve yourself in the long run."
She looked up for a moment as she continued talking. "It's not always a bad thing to lose a fight, just means that there's stuff you gotta work on 's all." she grinned and looked back to him. "Practice makes perfect, am I right?"

Aiden shrugged. "Probably not the best idea to ask the amnesiac, but I guess so." He got the feeling less than a second later that the question was probably rhetorical. Oh well, he figured he wouldn't get blamed for those sorts of mistakes for a little while longer, so no harm done.

Eva laughed a little more and shook her head. "Yeah, probably not." she agreed, though she was still smiling a little. "But you should still get what I mean, just 'cause you don't remember everythin' don't mean you're stupid." she raised a brow at him and grinned again. "Well, at least I hope you're not."

Aiden shrugged. "Me too, but I doubt I am." He was learning pretty quick he thought, though he still wanted to try out a saxophone... and a violin maybe. He also thought of a piano, though he wasn't sure why. He was almost positive he wasn't able to play that. He liked them well enough, but not that much... "Hey, do you know where I could try playing a saxophone or something?" He asked, he really was curious.

Eva blinked, that was a random question to ask her of all people. "I'm afraid I can't help ya there, pal." she said, scratching her cheek nervously. "I'm not really a musician, so I can't give any opinions there..." She had never even considered picking up an instrument before. Sure, music was great, but she wasn't that passionate about it like she knew other people were.

Aiden frowned. "Damn..." And while he had seen music stores around, he didn't have much money of his own... and he wasn't sure if he had had his own saxophone or not, he thought he would have had one, but so far he hadn't been able to figure out where it might have been. "Think Matsu might know?" He asked.
