Aiden pouted a little and he was pulled again. Eva was pushy, though he was kinda having fun running around the school like they were. Maybe this meant it'd be a good year for him. He guessed he might be able to call Eva a friend, and Matsu definitely was. He had made two friends on his first day, so it couldn't be that bad.
The door was situated just behind the circulation desk and led to a room with a printer, a copier, and one or two other machines that Aiden didn't yet know of. There was yet another door on the other side of the room, and voices could be heard faintly from the other side. Aiden was pretty sure the voices were from a place maybe across the hall, because there were a lot of voices and when a lot of people got together things didn't stay quiet. His parents had taken him to see enough duels at the arena to know that.

Eva looked up around the room, noticing some of the machines from seeing a few similar to them at the hospital where her other brother Anthony was interning at. She heard the voices of a group of people, wondering if that was where that was the group they were supposed to be with. "Think that's our group?" she asked Aiden, whispering so no one would over hear. She didn't even know if anyone would be able to heard them at all with all the sounds nearby, but it made her feel better.

Aiden grinned a little, feeling a tad adventurous. "Only one way to find out." He whispered back, reaching up to the handle and pulling at it before cracking the door to peek out.
As he had suspected there was a hall, followed by another wall of doors, though there was a big set of double doors leading who-knew-where which the voices seemed to be coming from. If it was there group, then he guessed they had just found the cafeteria. "I think it is... it doesn't look like where we were coming from..." He pushed the door open a little more and crept out.

Eva followed shortly behind Aiden, hoping they had found the cafeteria. She was always up for adventure, but at this point she just wanted to get to where she knew she was suppose to be. Who knew, maybe if she went through the rest of the day on her best behavior by the time Lucas came to get her, she could get him to keep it secret about her little adventure around the school, meaning she'd still have a chance at diner and breakfast next morning. She did love the eggs and bacon Anthony would normally make...
The blond girl's smile got wider. "Alright, so we sneak in and pretend we were there the whole time?"

Aiden nodded. "Works for me." He said, though he was pretty sure that neither his Mama or his Daddy would hear about this. Mama was too sick for Daddy to tell her, and Daddy would probably ignore any calls if he had a lot of work. If daddy DIDN'T have a lot of work though, Aiden was gonna get in BIG trouble. He headed over to the double doors and pushed at them, they were pretty heavy and didn't move all that much. He glanced over to the blond as if to ask for help.

Eva ran over to help Aiden open the huge doors. The little blond tried putting all her weight against the door, almost like she had hoped she had gained a few more pounds from just a few minutes ago. She giggled a little when the door finally opened, but slapped her hands over her mouth a moment later. After all, they were trying to sneak back in, how could they do that if she was making noise to get the teacher's attention?
She turned back to Aiden. "See your friend?" she asked him.

A glance through the packed room proved fruitless and Aiden shook his head. "No," He whispered back, "But he's gotta be in here." All the boys and girls looked smaller than in the other room, so he was pretty sure this was the right place. Also the teachers looked a little more worried...
Wait... teachers...
Aiden's eyes widened and he grabbed Eva's wrist, pulling her into the room and into the crowd of students before the woman could see them. If they had been spotted at the door, there's no way they wouldn't get into trouble.

Eva had barely noticed the teacher before Aiden had pulled her into the crowd. How she didn't fall she wasn't too sure of, but when she looked back at Aiden, she had her cheeks puffed up once again. "That was rude ya know!" he didn't even warn her or anything. She could have fallen and get an owwie on her knee or messed up the ribbon Avery had worked so hard to make perfect on her head that morning, or even somehow ruined her dress! While Eva wouldn't be too upset over that last one she was sure she'd get in trouble if something like that were to happen.

Aiden frowned at her. "Sorry..." He said, even though he didn't really think he needed to apologize. "You're not hurt though, so it doesn't really matter much..." He added as an afterthought before beckoning her his way. "Let's go find Matsu." He said decisively, starting his way into the crowd. Eva was fine, there was no way she was hurt, and if there was then Aiden was willing to chalk it up to her being a girl and weird because of it.

Eva's cheeks deflated as she let out a sigh. Her sisters were right, boys are stupid. Despite this she went along with him to help him find that Matsu person he'd been talking about.
Matsuda was sitting with a bunch of other second graders he was apparently going to be classmates with for the next year. Some were friends of his who had, once again, left him to go talk to the other kids. The gray-eyed boy couldn't help but worry about where Aiden had gone off to. What if he accidentally went to the Gym instead? Or what if he got lost in the school? He kept an eye out around him in case his friend had somehow made his way to the cafeteria on his own.

Aiden forged through the crowd, managing to cut a decent path around teachers in the 3rd grader and 1st grader areas. He had gotten turned around and lost in the crowd (again) and hadn't exactly made the straight shot to the 2nd grade area. However, this time he was certain that Eva and he were going the right way. Granted, they probably SHOULD have been heading to the Kindergarten group, but he wanted to see Matsu first in case he wasn't allowed to later.
After another half-minute of searching, Aiden sighted his friend. "Matsu!" He exclaimed, rushing forward to greet the blond boy while dragging Eva along with him.

At this point Eva was just day dreaming, trying to figure out just how school would go for her and if she'd really like it or not. She was snapped back into reality when Aiden started tugging her again in a different direction. Must've found his friend, she guessed.
When Matsu heard his name he instantly looked around for the source. When he saw the younger boy he couldn't help but grin and run off in his direction. "Aiden!" he yelled out, going to where he was at. He stopped, however, when he saw the blond girl Aiden was tugging along. "Why're you with her?" he asked curiously.

Aiden only then realized that he was still grasping Eva's wrist, he let go of it almost immediately. "We got lost..." He said, deciding that it was good enough of an explanation for now. Besides, it was true, they had gotten lost. Not that it really explained how they were still sticking together, but Aiden decided that telling anyone he had been even a little scared was a bad idea. He wasn't a crybaby after all.
"Did we miss anything?" He asked, switching topics. He didn't want to go into detail about the adventure. If a teacher overheard their cover was blown.

Eva gratefully took her arm back when Aiden let go, folding her arms across her chest so to avoid someone yanking it away from her once again. Matsu had a slightly confused look on his face, but traded it for a more normal look. "Ummm, they kinda told us what class we were in." he told them, looking around to see who might be watching.
Eva's eyes widen slightly, turning to Aiden and hitting his shoulder. "Great, now we don't know what class we're in, ya stupid head!" True it really was just as much her fault as it was his, but she didn't like pointing out when she did something wrong. She was a Shimazaki, and Shimazaki's were important and looked up to, who would look up to someone if they made a mistake?

Aiden glared at her with as much force as his five year old body could muster. "I'm not the stupid-head! You are! I coulda found my way back fine on my own!" He got on the bus all by himself, after all, and he could tie his shoes and count to twenty-four, so he was plenty smart! Besides, Eva was just a dumb girl anyway. Aiden was a boy, and everyone knew boys were better at everything.
