Mina scowled, then decided to try another venue. She wasn't going to lose it this time, she'd make LOCKE be the frustrated one, maybe that would get her to leave. Now, with a hypothetical situation, why couldn't she have hypothetical weapons. "Ah, but then I'd simply have to pull out a flamethrower from under this desk." She tapped the service counter for emphasis. "The thing wouldn't stand a chance against fire.."

"I s'pose you've got a point there," shrugged Locke. "Can't understand why you'd have a random flamethrower lying around in real life, but I guess it wouldn't be too much like real life if you were facing off against a living cactus, now would it?"

Well Plan A seemed to be a flop, and Mina hadn't really made a Plan B anyhow. Great. She tapped her fingers on the counter in slight frustration, clicking out an old army tune from long long ago, scowling once again. "Seriously, why the hell do you keep coming?" She growled, switching topics and dropping the calm demeanor. "Haven't I made it apparent I don't want you sticking around?"
A small (minuscule, really) part of her mind scoffed at the idea of totally hating the albino. The small part housed her respect for the other Tora, and it was easily beaten into submission by her pride and bruised ego.

"Oh, you've made it more than clear," agreed Locke, leaning on the counter's edge. "However, I'm what you might call tenacious. I guess it's something we share, isn't it?" The albino immediately wished she could take that back. There was likely nothing that would make Mina more angry than to be compared to Locke, which was something the tall Tora didn't really want. She wasn't afraid to admit that she liked Mina, and would much rather they get along than get into another fight. --- "So when does this get more interesting?" Kage asked, looking over at Cort. "I mean, cacti are interesting, I guess, but... They're not yelling or throwing food or pulling each other's hair or anything." The giant didn't really like to fight, but depending on how a fight went, it could be funny to watch.

Satoru chuckled to his large companion, not bothering to look at him. "Just give it a minute." He replied, eyes trained on the situation appearing before them. "You've forgotten how to tell when Mina's getting pissed." And boy, was the woman ever getting pissed.--- Every last instinct that drove Mina to pursue her choices in life, every last nerve in her body, every single signal sent between her brain and her arm was screaming at her to punch the albino. Who was she to deny that drive? Mina's arm swung out, a straight and blindingly fast punch aimed to break Locke's nose. At this moment, she absolutely despised the woman leaning on her counter.

If it hadn't been for the early (by early, it is to be interpreted as 'seconds before') signs of an incoming punch, Locke's face surely would have met the end of its days of looking decent. However, the albino lived for this kind of thing, and managed to throw her arm in front of her face just fast enough to deflect the blow. Her forearm was definitely fractured, and she'd let Mina know that. Maybe that'd make her feel better. Locke otherwise would've fought back, but she had a distinct distaste for deliberately ruining property. "I figured that'd make you mad," admitted the Tora. "Look, I didn't mean to upset you, but there's no reason to try and start a skirmish here. Something might get broken." --- " Now I see why you wanted me to see this..." Kage murmured. He knew Mina had a bit of a quick temper, but being compared to the albino lady seemed to have pressed her berserk button. "Got any popcorn, by chance?" he asked offhandedly.

Mina vaulted over the counter in response, aiming to tackle the younger Tora. Upset? Mina was BEYOND upset. She was PISSED. And a pissed Mina was a Mina that no one wanted to tangle with. --- Satoru shook his head. "Nah, but I'll have some tomorrow." He was regretting not making the popcorn today, this proved to be damn entertaining.

This time, Locke was much more suited to predict Mina's movements. They had fought once before, and since the older Tora knew that the albino was bulletproof, she'd have to come in for a physical attack. This made it rather easy for Locke to resolve that the best defense was for her to open her arms and brace herself. The taller Tora would simply trap Mina in a bear hug and subdue her. Maybe being unable to move would calm her a little.

Mina was already in the air by the time Locke's defenses were up, unfortunately that left her with few options other than continuing with her current attack plan. The dark-haired Tora crashed into her albino opponent, only now realizing that (once again) the woman was one step ahead of her.

"Screw making popcorn," said Kage, unable to take his eyes off of the hilarity of the fight. "We need to sell freakin' tickets to these things." It was amazing how one comment had caused this spectacle to occur. Even more amazing was how Mina seemed to fall right into the albino woman's hastily-prepared trap. --- As soon as Mina made contact, Locke's arms were closed like a bear trap. If she was lucky, the dark-haired Tora would use all of her energy to try and break free, and with the immense amounts of training the albino had done over the past decade or so, she could afford to spend far more than Mina could. Of course, it would have been quite simple to throw her or something at that point, but a fight wasn't what Locke wanted. She was trying to make amends, not widen the ravine between the two women.

Satoru grinned. "My point exactly, the only problem is that Mina would kill us if we tried that." And considering that he wasn't about to shoot his apprentice and little sister and he doubted Kage would do it either, it left them both with the option of 'dying' and nothing else. And quite frankly he'd rather not be bludgeoned over the head with his own arms. --- Mina struggled in Locke's arms, trying to break free. Her face wasn't close enough to an arm to bite, and she wasn't about to bite Locke's neck. The damnable albino'd twist it in some way for all she knew. No, she was gonna break free by brute force if she had to. The only problem was Locke didn't seem to be budging.

Kage shrugged and sighed, taking out his coin and running it back and forth along his index finger. "More fun for us, I suppose," he said, still unable to stop grinning at the hilarity of the one-sided struggle. "Definitely bringin' snacks tomorrow; that's a promise." --- It was a piece of cake thus far. Mina seemed to be struggling with all her might, but from what Locke had learned in the garder the other night, all Mina's might wasn't much compared to her own. Still, having things turn out this way wouldn't do. If things continued, there'd be an attempted fight every day if the albino showed up at the shooting range. "I'm sorry about that," said the taller of the female Tora. "I didn't mean it that way. It was insensitive of me, now will you please stop trying to kill me?" It was all she could do, really. Deep down, Locke actually really liked Mina. She didn't want their interactions to be all arguing and fighting, but how did one make that clear to someone so stubborn?

Mina continued to struggle, trying to turn and get her mouth close enough to an arm to bite to no avail. It seemed like she was well and truly trapped. She could feel her strength slowly waning and knew (KNEW) that Locke was still having no trouble restraining her. The albino's words only made her growl. "Leave then!" She hissed, "Get out!" And yet, there was a smidgen of guilt beginning to grow in her gut. She tried to squash it, feeling pity would get her nowhere.

Without a word, Locke hoisted Mina over the counter, set her down, and freed her from her arms. With one hand on the dark-haired girl's shoulder, she turned toward the door. The pale hand didn't break contact until Locke was beyond the point where she couldn't keep the holding gesture. There wasn't even a glance backward as the Tora walked out the door, and no one inside could have seen the vestiges of tears in the albino's eyes. --- "That turned out a lot less funny than I expected..." Kage said, his voice not showing too much disappointment. "That was kinda harsh, wasn't it, Mina? I mean, she looked like she really enjoyed talking to you, and you just freaked out on her." Granted, there was likely something the giant didn't know about the whole thing, but if the albino woman had done something to wrong Mina, it was abundantly clear that she was trying to make up for it.

Mina just sat there on the counter, guilt proving unsquashable despite her attempts. As much as she wanted to deny it, Kage did have a small point. Not that she'd ever let him know she knew that. The woman gave him a frown and turned to Satoru who gave her a nod.
Mina grabbed her jacket and left the range, not entirely sure why she felt like she couldn't stick around any longer today. She needed to find a place to think...
