Lynn shook her head before taking another bite. "I'm sure there ARE things that don't have explanations though..." Granted, she couldn't name any of them off of the top of her head, but she was positive they existed! Like... like... those things that went bump in the night! Those didn't have an explanation as far as she knew.

Locke shrugged and decimated the last of her first scoop.
"I suppose maybe I'm just too stubborn to accept any of that stuff," she admitted. "I mean, if you name something, I'll probably offer an explanation, just because it's a reflex." Deciding that Lynn didn't likely have much of a stand on that topic, the albino decided to ask about something else. "So, who's this boyfriend you mentioned? Is he nice?"

Lynn smiled shyly, swirling around some of the remaining ice cream in the dish as she looked down at it. "His name's Michael Faith, and he's really sweet and funny and he's helping me get over a few of my fears too..." To Lynn, he was her knight on shining armor, but she didn't want to get laughed at by Locke. "Do you have a boyfriend Miss Locke?" She asked, blinking as she remembered the earlier incident that day she tagged on: "O-or a girlfriend, maybe?"

Locke shook her head sadly before digging in to her second scoop of ice cream. She couldn't quite figure out how to word her explanation for what was going on, but eventually settled on something vague enough to work.
"There's... sort of someone special," the albino finally said. "She and I didn't get along at first, and I haven't tried much since then, but I think I really like her." Then, the name Lynn had given hit Locke with surprising force. "Michael, you say? Is he a Kuma with brown hair and bright gold eyes?" If it was the very same Michael, then that would be some coincidence.

Lynn smiled brightly at her new friend. "If you love her and don't give up, I'm sure everything will work out fine for you two." While she had no idea who the special someone was, she was sure that Locke would be able to win them over and Lynn's voice seemed to hold unwavering confidence in the matter.
The little Ookami blinked at the description. "Yes, actually, do you know him?" She hoped she hadn't made a bad first impression on one of Mike's friends, that wouldn't do at all.

"Not too well," said Locke with a smile. "He and I met once, on the beach no less. I like to come here to work on fighting underwater, makes it easier on land... Anyway, we met one evening while I was training." The albino could remember it all very well; the flirting, the fight, and the fact that she still technically owed Mike a Duel. The memory caused Locke to look down at Lynn curiously. "Say, Lynn... How'd a shy little cutie like you wind up dating a relentless flirt like Michael?"

Lynn continued delicately decimating her sundae as she thought over her answer. "Well, I guess I just kinda fell and he caught me... we started talking and... yeah..." She was blushing, her whole face aflame. She knew what had happened after the talking and whatnot, but she wasn't about to tell Locke she had kissed him almost immediately after meeting him...

Locke let out a giggle and placed her hand atop Lynn's head.
"That is so cute!" the albino remarked with a grin. "Sounds like you really fell for him, then!" The Tora certainly hoped she'd never have to wallop Michael for crossing any lines with the blunette. Locke couldn't stand it when a person betrayed the complete trust of someone close to them.

Lynn blushed and giggled, not minding the hand on her head now that Locke was her friend. "I suppose I did, didn't I?" She supposed first impressions couldn't always tell you about a person, Locke seemed very nice despite how they had met up.

"Oh, and if you see him soon," added Locke as an afterthought. "Could you tell Michael that I haven't forgotten about our Duel, but that I need to find a couple things before I can face him properly?" Some bastard had made off with Elemental Hero Prisma, a card that was almost essential for summoning the Fusion Monsters. The albino intended to track the thief down and make new copies of the cards out of their hide.

Lynn nodded, "Alright, no problem." She seemed a bit hesitant for a moment, and then decided that there really wouldn't be too much at stake if she asked. "Um... when you two duel, would it be alright if I watched?" She didn't have enough confidence to duel herself (and she didn't really even know how it was done aside from the very basic basics) but it certainly would help if she could watch a real duel.

Locke looked down at Lynn and grinned. She hadn't figured the little Ookami for much of a Duelist. Half of the people in the bloody war had no interest in using children's trading cards to determine the fate of a city.
"Absolutely, darling," answered the albino. "In fact, since I'm almost positive that it applies with Michael as well, you're welcome to watch me Duel or fight whenever you'd like." If Lynn was going to the trouble of giving Locke a chance, then she'd help the blunette became the best she could be in whatever way she knew how.

Lynn's eyes widened a bit with glee. "Thank you, Locke!" She chirped, leaning forward and hugging the albino around the middle, though she was careful to avoid the woman's breasts. It would have been terribly awkward otherwise. "I hope I get to learn something." She pulled back after another moment, smiling happily. She wasn't quite sure what she would learn, Mike used Zombies and she wasn't sure what Locke used so there was no guarantee she would learn any vital strategies.

"Of course you'll learn something," Locke assured her. "After all, life in and of itself is just a big learning experience. Believe me, for I've been learning the difficult way for nearly nineteen years." There wasn't much need to disclose all of the details about her parents' drug abuse or any of that stuff. All that really mattered was that Lynn would learn, and would in time become stronger for it.

Lynn blinked. "I-I'm sorry..." She said, not sure what she was apologizing for but feeling it was the only thing she could really say.
