"Not to mention that your life isn't on the line on a daily basis." The elder Tora said with a small smirk. She tilted her head and looked at her friend's drawing. "What exactly are you painting?" She asked with a laugh, her own weren't any better, but they were both pretty bad.

Eva looked down at her painting, tilting her head a little at it. "I... um... I really don't know..." she trailed off before laughing. "Art wasn't really my thing." she said with a grin. "Gym, on the other hand, I was the star athelete." she said almost in a bragging way. She looked over at Mina's painting. "Well, at least I can tell what you're painting." she pointed out.

"Barely." Mina corrected. "You can barely tell." Her newest addition was supposed to have been a clown she had seen at the fair once, but now it looked a like a demented version of a Mr. Potatohead thing... "I was always better at math and science. Though it's pretty fun getting arm-deep in paint." Aside from that, her face was covered in purples, blues, reds, greens, and a slew of other colors. The accidental body-painting was the most fun in her opinion.

Eva laughed again. "Yeah, I think most people liked that part of this class." unless they were neat freaks or OCD or something, that is. "I think this one kid started a paint war once when I was little." she said. "Threw some at a girl and it just went on from there. We were in so much trouble." she chuckled a little more.

Mina giggled again. "You better have joined in, or I'm losing all respect I've gained for you." Her eyes gleamed with mirth, greatly enjoying the conversation.

Eva grinned, a chuckle or two escaping her for a moment. "Actually, I'm the one that dared the kid to throw that first bit in the first place." she stated with pride. "Though he did rat me out for it in the end..." she shuddered. "So much detention after that." she said, laughing a little.

Mina snickered. "Little bastard." She said in reference to the boy. "It's one of the first rules, even if you're gonna get in huge amounts of trouble, you don't squeal." Shaking her head in faux-disappointment she added a few hand-print turkeys to the warped Mr. Potatohead painting.

The blond grinned at Mina's response. She looked down at her own picture, crumpling up the piece of paper and throwing it away. "Hey," she said to her clan mate. "You goin' to work today? At the gun range?" she asked her, curious. "If y'are, can I go with you?"

"Don't see why not." She said. "So long as you can vouch that I wasn't goofing off. Remember the squealing rule." She grabbed the sea monster painting and tacked it up on the wall near some other drying paintings. She'd let them wonder where that one came from.

Eva grinned. "Sounds good to me." she said, going to one of the sinks to wash her hands. Afterwards, she grabbed her jacket and put it back on. "We goin' now, then?" she asked her.

Mina scrubbed her own arms and rubbed her face clean of the colors as well before snagging her bag. "I say we go to the gym, see if we can find anything fun there. After all, if I remember correctly, there's a trampoline they just got a week or two ago for the Fair Day coming up."

Eva nodded. "Of course!" she exclaimed, glad to hear the word 'gym'. "Come on!" she grinned, walking out of the Art room and into the direction of the Gym from what she remembered.
"So how is Satoru, by the way?" she asked Mina, deciding on walking backward to look at her clan mate. "Been a while since I've gone up there."

Mina shrugged. "Fairly well. He's still in the hospital from a fight on the beach the night before last, though I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to finagle his way out of there in the next week." A few days of inaction made the male Tora antsy, but there was no way he was getting out of there (even with conniving and sweet-talking and eventually outright begging) for at least a few more days. Internal damage and whatnot. "Aside from that, he's doing fine, probably hasn't changed much since you saw him."

Eva raised a brow at Mina's reply. "Really, huh?" she asked. She grinned a little and shook her head slightly. "Better get out soon then, might ruin the respect I have for him if he lets a little fight keep him down for so long." of course she was only kidding, she knew good and well there were times when people needed time to heal after fights.

"He's perhaps THE most stubborn person I've ever met, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I found him at work tomorrow making Egil triple check everything because he can't do it himself." She stifled a chuckle at the thought, probably knowing that it wouldn't happen made the Tora think the scenario more laughable.
The Tora pair rounded a corner and Mina grinned, spreading her arms wide. "Behold, the wonder and glory of the gymnasium, used since the early twentieth century to torture children of all ages."
