Mina sat on the swings by the school, not swinging, just reveling in the cooling air of evening. Her messenger bag filled with notebooks and schoolbooks (and of course, her duel disk) leaned against one of the poles supporting the structure. It wasn't too often she had so much free time. She had already finished her homework and now she was simply waiting. For what, she didn't know. Possibly a duelist, or maybe just some friendly conversation.

Eva had wandered to the school, stopping when she noticed a girl not too far off. She noticed the girl's orange wristband and grinned, another person to talk to from her clan.
The blond walked up calmly with her hands in her pockets. She saw the girl's duel disk and grinned slightly, but it also looked very mature. "Duelist, eh?" she asked her.

Mina smiled at her clanmate, she had seen this girl around headquarters a few times but had never stopped to chat. "In my spare time." She replied, looking down to make sure her hair wasn't trailing in the dirt before looking up again. "I'm Mina, Mina Izumi." She said with a bright smile. "Who are you?"

Eva'd grin stayed where it was as she introduced herself. "Eva Shimazaki, nice to meet ya." she said, taking a hand out of her pocket to shake Mina's hand.
"So Mina," she began. "What're you doing here by yourself?" she asked curiously. "Sorry if I'm judging a little too fast here, but you kinda seem like the type to wanna hang out with your friends most the time." she chuckle to herself a little. "Then again, I am known for being wrong about a lot of stuff."

Mina chuckled. "Just got out of a lecture and decided to hang here for a bit." She replied, beginning to swing her legs a bit. "Besides, when your two best friends are a big tough Viking-guy and a gunslinger who can't keep his mouth shut, you tend to revel in the quiet moments." Not that she didn't love Egil and Satoru to bits, they were rather wonderful people when she got down to it. But when off-duty (and even sometimes when working) all three of them bantered, loudly. Often with insults. It was nice to have enough time and space to just think.
"What about you?" Mina asked, tilting her head a bit. "You seem like the type that likes people, why aren't you surrounded by a gaggle of gal-pals?" The dark-haired girl couldn't help but let her smile slip into a smirk. A moment later she realized that she had been spending WAY too much time at the range if she was smirking like her aforementioned gunslinging buddy.

Eva couldn't help but smirk a little more at Mina's question. "Gal-pals? Really?" she asked, truly curious. "That's kinda strange, I always thought of myself as one of the boys, tell ya the truth." she said.
"But, to be honest, I haven't been around my usual gang in a long while. Normally just chat with whoever these days." she chuckled to herself when she said 'gang'. To Mina it would've just sounded like a group of friends, which in truth, that was what she meant. Just one of those double-meaning things that tend to make her laugh a little every now and then.

"So then," The dark-haired Tora asked. "What brought you here? The scent of knowledge in the air?" Mina took a whiff of the air and wrinkled her nose in disgust. "Nevermind," She said, sticking her tongue out and making a face. "That's just the imitation chicken they try and pass off as food..."

Eva chuckled a little at Mina's comment. "I actually use to go to this school." she said, looking back at it. She chuckled a little more at a few memories. "Got in trouble for fighting all the time. But, I dunno, just felt like seein' the place again." The blond suddenly wondered if the inside had changed in the last five years. It was a possibility, but you never knew.

Mina couldn't help but laugh. "Something tells me the other guys were the ones to come out the worse for wear." The college student moved her head in the direction of the far end of the school area. "Way over there is the college building. We're by the middle school and high school areas right now." She blinked and grinned. "I walked all the way over here for the swings." She actually probably should have been heading to work, though at the moment it didn't quite appeal to the Tora. She'd go later, no point in ditching some friendly company.
"I actually haven't been in the lower-grade buildings for awhile..." She mused aloud. "I wonder if the food's better..."

Eva shrugged a little. "Wanna go find out?" she asked her. "I've always wanted to go back inside, anyway." she said with a grin. They couldn't get in trouble for just wondering around, right? Especially since she was an old student of the school's and all. If caught, she could just say she wanted to see if her old teachers were there to say hi to or something.

Mina hopped up from her spot on the swing. "Sounds like an adventure!" She smirked, scooping up her bag and slinging it over her shoulder. The schoolbooks created an almost reassuring weight and she grabbed her companion by the arm, hauling her towards the middle school building. Stubborn and impulsive? Maybe. Overenthusiastic over a possible adventure? You betcha.

Eva laughed at Mina's response, not really caring for the fact that she was being hauled off. "Someone's just a little excited." she commented.
She looked down at Mina's bags. "Damn, innit that heavy to you?" she asked her curiously. She knew she was judging again, but Mina looked pretty weak in her opinion. A sudden image of her fellow Tora going off and beating the crap out of some random guy popped up into her head and made her laugh even more.

"Not really." Mina chirped, "I deal with the kickback on lots of big guns on a regular basis, a few books are nothing." She strode into the large building with a quick pace. "Now where do you wanna go first?"

Eva grinned. "Nice." she said, commenting on the part about guns. Maybe they would get along better than she thought.
When the two got inside the schoo, the blond tried thinking of where to go first. "The art room!" she exclaimed. "Let's see what all we can find in there." she started walking into the direction she remembered being the art class she had gone to. Not that she could draw or paint to save her life, but she always liked getting messy.

Mina charged after her clan mate, art wasn't really her thing (in fact, she had failed her art classes each and every year) but the idea of splattering colors on a canvas was always rather fun. Especially if a teacher wasn't there to try and stop them.
