The two finally made it to the Art room, Eva instantly went to one of the cabinets. If the room was still set up the way she remembered then that should have been where all the paint was at.
"Bingo!" she exclaimed, pulling out the different containers the paint were in. She looked over at Mina, scratching her head slightly out of embarassment. "Er... I get excited when I think of making messes..." she said, laughing to herself.

"Who doesn't?" Was Mina's response as she set her bag down and covered it with a bit of tarp to keep it from getting splattered. She actually like the design on it the way it was, bright red and neon purple wouldn't be a very good improvement... Rolling up her sleeves she took one of the paint cans and put it on the table before rummaging around for paper.
Pulling out a stack of large pieces of paper and slapping them down on the table next to the paint only made her smile grow broader. "Didn't see any brushes, but they're overrated anyway."

Eva's grin grew wider. "True true, my friend." she said as she took off the black jacket she was wearing at the time. She threw it over a near by chair and rolled up the sleeves of her shirt as well.
The blond got some blue paint on her hand and started making random shapes on the piece of paper in front of her. She wasn't trying to make a portrait(not that she'd even be able to). She just liked to think of her work as abstract. At least that way it didn't seem like she was just doodling like a three year old with their first set of paint.

Mina opened up the purple paint and scooped a copious amount onto her hands. She then took two of her fingers and took some from the smaller pool of purple in her hand, and slapped it onto the paper, creating a splatter effect. Pleased with this, Mina continued with this for awhile before actually getting down to drawing. The first thing she drew? A butterfly, one of the few things she COULD draw.

Eva saw the butterfly on Mina's paper and laughed to herself a bit. "Innit that cute." she said as she reached for some yellow paint. It mixed with the blue she already had in her hand so that she could paint something green onto the paper. It was just random lines on the bottom part of the paper. To her, this was grass or some weird looking plant.
While finishing her landscape painting, she dicided the bring up something for conversation. "So what was that you said about guns earlier?" she asked Mina, looking up from her paper for a quick moment.

"I said," Mina started, adding a cowboy hat and a gun holster to her butterfly for no real reason other than that she wanted to. "That the kickback on a shotgun is a lot worse than a pile of books." She tapped her chin as she looked at her painting (getting purple and brown on her chin in the process), there was just something missing... "I work at the shooting range a few blocks from the old amusement park. We do pretty good business and the guy who runs it pretty much saved my life."
She snapped her fingers and dipped her hand into the red, painting on a poorly draw rocket ship. There wasn't exactly a scene on the paper, more like random whimsical drawings.

Eva blinked, a little surprised for some reason. "The shooting range, huh?" she asked, looking down at her own painting. She got some yellow out to paint in a sun at the top corner as she continued talking. "And how'd this guy save your life?" she asked her out of curiousity.

"I got attacked one night when I was..." She looked up in thought as she snagged another piece of paper, painting out a poorly-drawn sea-monster and a destroyed city that looked like a computer had barfed up pixels. "Oh, nineteen or so I think..." She attempted to make the sea monster breathe fire, but it looked like he was inhaling a red cactus instead. "Satoru was out walking and saw what was happening. He shot the guy in the arm and made sure I was okay. I wanted to repay him and wound up working for him at the range." She smiled fondly at the memory. Satoru had wound up turning into the older brother she had never had.

Eva stopped painting when Mina mentioned a name. "Satoru? That's what you said, right?" she asked for clarification. Yusuke had mentioned getting a lot of his weapons from a guy named Satoru. There was a possibility that it was the same guy.

Mina nodded. "Yeah, Satoru Yamamoto, dark hair, about yea high," She held her hand up at the five-foot-seven point. "Walks with a limp, smokes. You know him?" She asked. They got plenty of people blowing through, and the Tora wasn't around for half of them thanks to her classes.

Eva nodded. "Yeah, my... ex boyfriend I guess you could say, use to be a pretty frequent costumer of his. I'd go with him most of the time, I'm suprised I'm just now seeing you." she laughed slightly.

"I was probably in the back or not there at all." She giggled. "I'm better with the mechanical aspect than the 'aiming' part, but that's gotten better. I was probably in the back checking to make sure everything was working when you guys came around or out doing errands or sleeping or something." Despite the irrefutable proof that guns were loud, it was pretty easy to catch some sleep if you had spare time. For some reason, all the chairs at the range were super-comfy.
"So, did you two just go there to practice or did you go there to stock up?" She knew her boss did some shady dealings here and there, but Mina knew he knew what he was doing. He had grown up knowing how to deal with gangs and the like, and he'd never put any of his friends in danger.

"Stock up." she replied. "We use to be in a gang before he went off and got himself killed." she explained, getting out some red paint and splattering it on her own picture. "His fault though, so I don't feel too sorry." It sounded pretty harsh for her to say that, but Hotaru had all the right in the world to kill him after what happened to Greg. She smiled slightly at the memories of the four of them hanging out. If only things were that simple again.

Mina nodded. "I see..." Well, Eva didn't seem to worked up about it, so it probably wasn't worth concerning herself with. "So is this one of your days off or are you outta there?" She decided to half-ass a doodle of a roller-coaster only for it to turn into a pretzel. She added gray for salt.

"Been out of there for a while." she replied. "The three people I'd hang out with the most either died or vanished so I got tired of it and joined the clans." she shrugged. "Can't say I'm any happier, but I'm not miserable either." she grinned. "So that's good isn't it?"
