Yukiko tucked the violin under her chin, pulling the bow across the the strings with an experimental hiss. It issued a sinister sounding note, which the teen repeated carefully a few times before preparing to play.
She closed her green eyes sofly, feeling the wind toy with her hair and readjusted her position atop a small ledge. Yukiko played the first notes a little awkwardly, still a little unused to the foreign instrument. But after a moment she flew into the song, allowing the bow to pratically fly across the strings. Song enough, she was playing Camille Saint-Saƫns' Danse Macabre like an experienced musician.
The wind picked up, wiping strands of her long brown hair wildly as the ends of her pale red plaid dress swirled around her knees. The song was long, but it didn't seem so. Yukiko had easily become lost in the music, swept away the the rapid melody. She didn't notice the building storm clouds behind her, or the leaves that danced around her ankles. To any passerby, it may look as if her playing was summoning the storm itself.

The music wafted into his ears as he lay on top of the roof of the school. His ear pricked as the jumped up and headed towards the stairs. He jumped down the stairwell and ran towards the fire exit.
He ran out into the autumn air, following the music a smile beaming across his face.He bounded round the corner and his smile fell
"Yukiko-san?Sorry I thought you were someone else"

Yukiko immediatly halted her playing, removing the violin from it's spot under her chin and letting it hang at her side, held in her loose grasp before turning in the direction of a familar voice. She blinked, her large green eyes looking at Noctis for a moment before she responded.
"There's nothing to be sorry about." The teen told the older male with a helpful smile. However, her expression (one ready for polite conversation) was quickly replaced with a more thoughtful one. Yukiko had noticed the dissapointment on the Kuma's face... and for some reason she had a pretty good idea about who he thought was REALLY playing the violin. And before she knew what she was saying, the question was out.
"It's Xion isn't it?" Yukiko gave him a soft, understanding smile.

He nodded "She fucked off" was all he said calmly, his eyes cold and distant
"I looked everywhere but she's gone"

Yukiko's grip subconciously tightened aroung the neck of the violin and she turned her head up towards the clouds, her eyes trying to stay focused on the stormy sky was she spoke.
"Yeah," she murmured softly, "I know." She didn't specify how she knew, but that was simply because she didn't know whether or not mentiong that fact would make things better or worse.
The sudden silence was filled by a violent blast of wind, and through her sudden blinding curtain of brown hair Yukiko returned her gaze to Noctis, face expressionless.

Yukiko gave a small smile, a light shade of red creeping across her nose and cheeks.
"You... you really think so?" Strange, she didn't think it was that good at all. The violin was a step into the unknown, a step towards something new. Yukiko didn't always work with 'new'. "Well..." She blushed and smiled some more. "Thanks."

"The violin a instrument that requires expertise or it can sound like a strangled cat" he smirked "That that I have heard to many times"

Although she wasn't sure why, Yukiko felt her flush deepen a bit.
"It is difficult," she agreed quickly. "This thing frustrated me to no end. But I was inspired by one of the greatest musicians of all time- Charles Daniels." The green-eyed teen scratched the top of her head with a weak grin. "Though if memory serves he played the fiddle." She shrugged. "Oh well."

Yukiko tilted her head to the side, her face full of innocent curiousity.
"You had a celeberty role-model too?" She chirped in mock-amazement.

"Err similar but not the same.More of a song and I played it till I got it right and I sorta learnt along the way. Also it was a release" he shrugged
"I can't say I was enjoying it at the time, it was just a release"

Yukiko nodded thoughtfully, having perfectly understood what it was Noctis was getting at. Although things were frustrating for her at times it was still a release for even greater stress.
"It feels that way for me too." She mused, gently moving the wild, whipping strands of brown hair from her face. "Music can suck you in sometimes... make you forget for awhile." The green-eyed Ookami didn't smile but her eyes contained small traces of wishful light. "You can become one with the song for a few minutes."

"Really?" Yukiko looked up towards the school, her vision somewhat blocked by her wild hair. "I'd like to listen." She mused whistfully. "That would be nice."
