Chika laughed at the man's forced removal, giving Matsuda a hug as a reward. "Thanks." She grinned, "You gotta teach me to do that! I can't fight to save my life." It was true, and while she hadn't run across many situations where force was required to get her from point A to point B, there had been a few instances...
She gave a mock curtsy and dipped her head. "I'd be delighted." She added in a British accent for a more 'proper' sound.

Matsuda let out a small laugh. "Girls shouldn't need to fight." he told her. "Leave it to us men, alright?" he asked, not trying to sound cocky or confident. He was just stating what he believed in a calm tone.
Ignoring the pain in his jaw, he listened to the music playing in the background, trying to find the best spot to jump in to continue dancing. Wow, he never thought he'd actually want to dance in his life. It must have been the comfort of knowing that he at least wasn't making a complete fool of himself. Yep, that's what it was.

As she jumped back into the fray she continued the debate. "But what if there isn't a guy around to help and it's just lil ol' me facing down a street punk?" She asked, still trying to weasel a few punching tricks out of him.
The current song was a bouncy techno tune that was made for dancing. Fast paced but not so much that you got tripped up, and lyrics that you either loved or hated depending on your viewpoint. Not that you could hear anything over the talking and yelling.

Matsuda stopped dancing and shrugged. "Well then..." he began, trailing off. "Keep pepper spray or a taser with you?" he grinned. "Sorry, but I don't teach people how to fight. I rarely do myself, really."

"Aww..." She groaned, brightening upon the idea of carrying around a taser. And this run in here might make her folks give her permission... The night was getting better by the minute!

He laughed. "There, there." he said, patting her head. "I'm sure you'll be fine." he grinned. It was rare that he got into situations like this outside of his home, he doubted Chika would need to learn to fight or anything. Besides, the mention of a taser seemed to have brighten her up a little.

Chika laughed, banishing the topic from her mind for now. "So have you EVER come here before?" She asked, getting back into the swing of things and resuming their chat.

Matsuda thought about the question for a moment. "... Once, though I don't really remember what for." he added a quick laugh afterwards. "You?"

She grinned, dancing quickly to the beat. "Not to this place, but to other nightclubs in other towns." Chika laughed and grabbed Matsuda's hands, fully bringing him back to the dance. "This place isn't half bad though!"

Matsuda laughed at her reply and actions as he resumed dancing. "I guess so, but it's still not my favorite place." he shrugged a little. "Just me, though."

Chika smiled, "You oughta come back, you seem like you're having fun!" Another spin as the music swapped songs, a country tune and a female singer came on. The band must have left and the DJ returned from his coffee break. Or booze break, whichever.
"Ooh! I love this song!" She squealed singing along with the chorus. "Wish you could only see, I got an 'I heart question mark' written on the back of my hand!" She didn't know why she enjoyed a song about something she had never experienced, but that was probably how most people felt about songs. A sense of fun that came with a good song.

Matsuda shrugged. "I guess." he grinned at the song change. It wasn't a song that he knew, but it had a nice feel to it. "It's alright." he commented about the song.

Chika pouted at his lack of excitement, quickly pushing that aside. "Oh well, not everyone likes everything I guess..." As the song wound down, she stopped her dancing and looked over Matsuda's shoulder. Well, around his shoulder, she was too small to see over it. There appeared to be a girl getting hassled by a few guys by the bar.
Well, no point in involving Matsuda in the same thing twice. She grinned. "I'm gonna go get a drink, I'll meet you back here, kay?" With that , she slipped off in the direction of their old seats, taking a roundabout route to her target.
She may have been unable to fight, but she could talk and she could use her drumsticks. Those things hurt when you got hit with them.

Matsuda blinked little. "Alright." he said, watching her go off. It was around that time that he noticed the girl at the bar, and, seeing where Chika was really going off to. He sighed and walked over, preparing to step in just in case. Something told him he wouldn't need to though...

The girl being harassed was about seventeen, with no clan bracelet in sight. She must have been one of the lucky ones who's parents could buy their children out of the war. The boy assailant was a few years older, probably nineteen or so, also without a bracelet. Lucky boy.
Chika tapped on the boy's shoulder, he spun around to look at her, his eyes lingering a little too long on her chest for comfort. "Yes?" He asked, eyes finally reaching hers.
"Hiya! I'm just here to get my friend, we're about ready to head home and her dad's gonna be pissed if she's late again. You mind letting her leave?" She gave her best smile, trying to recall how Matsuda had punched that guy in case things turned ugly.
"Well little lady, if I let her go, someone will have to keep me company tonight." He waggled he smirked at her, attention diverted from the girl. Seeing this opportunity, the girl fled. Chika's brow rose in disbelief at what he was implying. Face in a perfect 'you didn't just say that' look.
She took a deep breath and pulled one of her sticks out of concealment. "Well, there are plenty of other people around you could hang with." Reasoning didn't seem to be working, "You don't have to hassle someone, being nice generally works better."
The boy laughed. "They always play so hard to get..." He reached for her...
WHACK!!
The drumstick left a bright red mark over his cheek, quickly turning purple and bruising. His eye was shut too, she must have clipped it a little considering where the main force of the blow was. The boy staggered, grasping his cheek in pain.
Chika twirled the stick in her hand. "I told you that being nice works better!" She halted the sticks and held them tight in her hands. "You were really asking for that one. Stop bugging people with you're pervy-ness!"
Chak spun around and walked back to the dancefloor with her eyes closed, smacking into Matsuda's chest halfway there.
