"No problem." He said, accidentally-on-purpose kicking one of the cans off the tower in an attempt to snipe a familiar face.
It was a portly gentleman, bald (though it was impossible to tell with the toupee on his head), mid-sixties, head of the drafting department and the person every clansperson came to hate. Matsudoku Hashidi, the man who divided friends and families into the clans with a smug smile on his fat face. Piggy eyes glinting from beneath thick brows as another zero was added to the end of the number on his paycheck.
He was promptly doused with a rain of sticky soda. The can itself knocking off the toupee and sent it spinning into a new puddle of soda.

Hotaru watched, once again, as the soda fell on yet another man from the government. She smirked a little, nudging Jack in the arm lightly. "You're lucky they can't see us from here, you know." she told him playfully. "I'd be scared to find out what might happen otherwise."

Jack grinned. "Oh, nothing much, a frantic chase through town is all. It's easy to lose 'em in the woods." He decided to explain. "They didn't always have broken security cameras up here and a few of these buggers have hawk-eyes. I got spotted twice before Ookami took the tower." He chuckled at the memory.

Hotaru giggled a little. "And yet you still do it." she said to him. "Do you just plan these things, or do you get bored easily?"

"Even better!" Jack pointed to the camera. "I found a blind spot."

Hotaru put her hand against her forehead, unable to hold back a smile. "Never a dull moment with you around." she told him, laughing. She looked over towards the camera Jack had pointed at. "What blind spot?" she asked him.

"Just watch." He said with a grin. The camera was white with a black lens that swept from side to side and was attached to the wall. As it turned towards the two teens, it jerked and shuddered before quickly moving back to the other side. Completely missing the two people on by the railing.
"As for any of the sound... recording thingies..." He frowned as the name eluded him, "Well, whatever they're called, they're busted, so as long as we stay here, we're safe." The grin was back. "The maintenance guys don't come up here that often either, so it's not gonna get fixed soon."

Hotaru grinned. "So that's why you chose to sit here." she said. "No one can see or hear us." she laughed a little as she turned to look up at the sky a little, being careful not to stare at the sun directly.

Jack nodded. "It's like we're invisible." He followed Hotaru's line of sight and caught sight of a strange cloud. Six spikes came off the top with curling wisps of legs coming off of the bottom. Two arm-shapes were at it's sides and a jagged flame-shaped cloud was headed it's way.
He tilted his head to the side to try and see an image that made sense.

Hotaru didn't really pay much attention to the clouds or anything. She was just off in her own little world, not very sure about what she was even thinking about in the first place.
She turned her attention back to Jack, who had his head tilted as he looked at the sky. She smiled; even when he wasn't talking or acting strange he still managed to ammuse her somehow.
"What do you see?" she asked him, turning her head up again to look in the area Jack was staring at.

Jack frowned in though, head still tilted. "A fish fighting off a barbecue as a stork bombards it with fruit? I dunno..." He turned his head the other way as the winds shifted and morphed the cloud some more. "Either that, or a very oddly-shaped cookie."

Hotaru tried to see the image the Ookami beside her mention, but lacked the creativity to actually see it in the clouds. "Really?" she asked, curiously. "I don't know what to make of that."
She smirked, deciding to give her neck a rest and moved her attention back below them. There was a lot of people at this point, surprisingly. She tried to look carefully at them, leaning closer over the edge of the guard-railing, not realizing just how close to falling the Tora actually was.

Jack chuckled, "It probably means that I need a good doctor to poke around in my head." He turned his attention to Hotaru, making sure she wasn't going to fall off anytime soon and ready to spring into action if something were to go awry.

Hotaru squinted her eyes a little so she could see a small girl nearby holding her mother's hand. The girl had brown hair that was put up in pig-tails that bounced neatly with her movements. Somehow caught in a trance by the bouncing pig-tails, Hotaru leaned over the railing too far and began to feel herself fall forward.
In a slight panic, the red head somehow found herself wrapping her arms around Jack's neck. Luckily, it wasn't tight enough to choke him. "Long fall..." she muttered.

As he saw the redhead beginning to topple forward he stretched out his arms and caught her. This turned out to be unnecessary as her arms wrapped around his neck.
In retrospect, perhaps it was dangerous to be in the only blind-spot on a tower that was deathly high-up in the air. Oh well, the current situation wasn't all bad. Still, he took a small step back from the edge just in case.
"The understatement of the century." He muttered back.
