Jack let out a sigh of relief as he stepped into the hospital. Made it. It was late at night, and he was out of quarters with no cell phone, a stupid time to get injured. It was his own fault he supposed, he had gotten into a fight with a martial artist and it was his own damn fault he had fallen.
Though, the guy had been nice enough to patch it up a bit before telling him how to get to the hospital. Which was pretty good considering he had gotten lost in a cornfield. He wasn't going to eat corn ever again. Not after he had gotten stabbed in the arm by a broken stalk of it.
It wasn't amputation-deep, it would probably need stitches though. He sighed and walked to the desk-worker, gave his name and information and was told to sit and wait.
So he was most likely going to die waiting for a doctor. How... uninteresting. He always thought he would go out in a seventeen-car pile-up or something. Or he'd get nagged to death by his brother, either or.

Dr. Stevens had called Keisko earlier that day and told her that she was working the late shift so she left her house as soon as the sun went down and headed to the hospital.
She walked into the hospital and tossed her stuff into her locker and went to the front desk. Then she grabbed the clipboard and looked for a good patient for her experience. Picking one she called the name. "Jack King?"

Jack stood up and walked towards the woman holding the clipboard. He rubbed his arm, it hurt like a bitch and his shirt wasn't very well off either. A hole was in the sleeve where the stalk had gone through and the surrounding area was stained with blood. He was ging to catch hell for this later, he was sure.
"Reporting for duty ma'am." He said with a grin. People said he and his sister looked alike when they smiled. Honestly, he agreed with them. And it made it very easy to tell if one was genuinely happy/innocent of guilt/some other emotion as long as you knew the other.

Keisko blinked at the person standing directly on the other side of the desk. He looked like the young girl Tekka she had met from Tora. She noticed his arm which was bleeding. She shook her head slightly. "Okay, come around to the door."
She walked around and opened the door letting him in and started heading to the direction of an open room. Opening the door, she let him in and immediatly grabbed some sterile guaze, pressing them against the open wound. "So how did this happen?" she asked as she cleaned up some blood.

Jack sighed, he had a feeling this would warrant him a decent sized scolding from the doctor. Of course, that had been proven wrong time and time again, maybe she wouldn't rip out his still-beating heart and feed it to the pigeons. Curse his mild fear of doctors, though he was pretty sure at least half the world shared in that fear with him.
"Well, I got into a fight in the cornfield by the plantation manor and tripped and sort of fell back onto one of the hard broken shafts of stem things that stick up from the ground." He looked at her, "You know what I'm talking about right?"

Keisko grimaced. "Well that certainly had to hurt a great deal... Here hold these on here..." She said talking about the guaze so she could go grab the wound cleaner. Grabbing the bottle she poured some on a guaze and removed the ones Jack was holding. "This'll sting a bit..." She warned before pressing it firmly against the wound.
"So how come you got into a fight?" She asked, being a nurse, she had to be socialable and learn to talk to your patient.

Jack held the gauze with no question. If there was one thing he knew no to do, it was to piss off the person in charge of his health. Not that this person was likely to poison him or anything.
"Sting? How mu-" It was cut off by a whimper of pain. "Why does everything in a doctor's office hurt?" He griped to no one in particular.
"How?" He asked back, that made him think. "I honestly don't know."

Keisko laughed lightly at his rhetoricle question. He didn't seem confortable with the whole doctor's office. He was fidgiting slightly which pretty much gave him away.
"So do you often get into fights that leads to stitches or was it just this once?" she asked smiling. "Oh, do you want a pain killer?" She asked looking up away from his arm.

He shrugged his good shoulder so as not to bother the doctor's work. "Just this one, and it's put me off of corn for the rest of my life." He sighed before being hit with the metaphorical brick of realization. He frowned. "It needs stitches? Damn." He grimaced. "If you wouldn't mind, knock me out."

Keisko's lips quirked into a smile. "Don't worry, you don't need many. And I can't knock you out, but I can give you a sedative to take all the pain away. It's only like 4 or 5 stitches so it won't take long. I take it you don't like hospitals?" she asked smiling. "Hold this and I'll get your painkiller." she said referring to the guaze. Her patient was certainly interesting and quite funny.

Jack nodded and held the gauze. He'd rather not see his own arm getting sewn up, but at least he wouldn't feel anything. As the woman (Her name-tag/key-card thingy has said Keisko Azuma) left he began wondering what on Earth he was going to tell his older brother Aiden.
Oh this? Nothing, I just got into a fight in Kuma territory and had to go the the hospital. It was just a few stitches, nothing that bad. He rolled his eyes.
Yeah right, like that's gonna work. He's gonna go psycho on me, dad won't care so long as I 'learned my lesson' but Aiden... Jack winced in anticipation.

Keisko went and grabbed a painkiller, a small cup of water, and the supplies for the stitches and returned to her patient. "Here you go, just take that and if you'd like, just look at the other wall..." she said noticing his discomfort.

Jack swallowed the painkiller and turned his head as instructed. "Thanks." He said after swallowing. He could feel a bit of a prick as she started a few moments later. It seemed that the painkiller acted quickly, it didn't stop his thoughts from wandering over to what was happening to his arm though.
His mind was filling in what he couldn't see with wild imaginings of the needle sliding in and out of his skin covered with blood and-
The Ookami decided to start thinking about puppies.

Keisko then started to work on the arm carefully, she then noticed the arm band for his clan and smiled. "I see you're in Ookami." She laughed lightly. "Quite a coincidence actually..." she said thinking. It seems I've met another Ookami, they're starting to come out more often... She thought smiling and thinking of all the rest of the Ookami she had met.

Jack's mind was still thinking of Dobermans when he heard her speak. "Oh, uh, yeah." He blinked and turned his head to look at her, though he averted his eyes from the stitching. "Why's that a coincidence? Are you in Ookami too?" She certainly didn't look 35. She was maybe a little older than he was.
"Or have a lot of Ookamis been coming in with injuries?"
