Keisko nodded smiling. "Yea, I'm in Ookami also. I've only been in a little over a month but," she shrugged. "I haven't done much to help the clan so instead I do this." She smiled. "And no, not many Ookmami's with injuries."
"So, how long have you been in the clan?" she asked working carefully on the last stitch.

He shrugged his good shoulder again. "It's better than dueling, you help out everyone this way."
"Well," Jack began. "I was drafted when I was thirteen, same as everyone else, but I got pulled out due to some family issues a year or so back." That was the short way of explaining all that had happened to take him out.
"I just got back into Ookami about a week ago." He grinned. "Some stuff has changed, a few of the more senior clanspeople are gone, all that could be expected really."
He decided to risk seeing his arm, it wasn't too bad now. He still looked away quickly. "So have you met anyone from the other clans?" He asked, deciding to keep the conversation going.

Keisko nodded. "That's why I applied for this job... I wanted to help people, from all clans..." She said finishing the stitch and walking over to the counter to grab some antibacterial ointment and a bandage.
"Well you've certainly been in Ookami all together longer than I have..." She returned and started putting smoothing the ointment over the fresh stitches.
She nodded again at his next question. "I've met quite a few actually..." She responded grinning thinking of all of the people she had met. Tekka, Akio, and a few others.

Jack grinned, sensing that the actual stitching was done. "That's good. I'm glad to see that there are people willing to help out anyone no matter what their clan is."
He thought for a moment, "If you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you escape the draft?" He held up a hand. "It's fine if you don't want to tell me."
The brunette rekindled his grin and decided to ask another question. "You seemed to sort of recognize me in the waiting room, you wouldn't happened to have met my sister, have you?"

"No, it's no problem. Well, when I was nine, I left here and wandered the country, I came back just about 10 years later, which was a month or two ago and was drafted in..." She didn't bring up her mother, she couldn't.
She smiled and laughed. "Would your sister happen to be Tekka?" She asked smiling.

Jack grinned. "Yeah. The little screwball." He laughed. "I'm almost afraid to ask, but how exactly did you meet her? She didn't steal something of yours I hope." He scratched his cheek.

Keisko chuckled. "No, she didn't steal anything. She just tripped over me and nearly choked to death on sand." The girl Tekka was a very interesting character and she was the one that got Kiesko not to hate Tora but to accept that it was just one man that hurt her.
She put the bandage over the stitches and made sure it was on tight, then went back to the counter and grabbed some gauze.
"She's a very interesting girl..." she said smiling with a small laugh. She then returned to her patient and held out the gauze. "Just in case."

He slapped his forehead and laughed. "That sounds like Tekka alright." Jack would have to interrogate her about that one. She hadn't mentioned choking on sand before. Time to employ all that blackmail he had acquired over the years.
He rolled his eyes. "'Interesting' turns into 'annoying' when you live with them for more than a day."
He looked at the gauze. "Just in case." He nodded.

Keisko smiled. "I wouldn't know, I'm an only child." She stopped herself from thinking about her mother.
She clasped her hands together. "So you're all fixed up and if it gives you any pain, just take a tylanol or something oh and in need to write you a prescription for the ointment..." she said looking around the room for the prescription pad.

Jack decided to crack one of the worst jokes he could think of. There was no reason not to after all. "But doctor," he began, "Will I be able to play the violin?"

Keisko unable to stop herself, started laughing. "That... was the... worst... joke ever..." She said between laughs.
After a few moments, she regained her composure. "And I mean that. I've heard soooo many bad jokes and that one topped all of them." She shook her head and finally found the perscription pad.

The pumped his fist it the air, getting about a quarter of the way there before wincing. He had accidentally used his bad arm, he swapped arms before continuing. "Yes! I set a record!" He grinned. "And no matter how bad it was, it got a laugh."

Keisko winced as he did. "Well smart one, I suggest you don't try that again... Doctor's orders." She said laughing.
She carefully took a look at his arm to make sure the bandage didn't more any when he pumped his fist in the air.

Jack gave a nod. "Yes ma'am." The grin still managed to weasel it's way onto his face. "I know better than to mess with doctors, they have far too many way to get back at you."
Though that suspicion probably had something to do with his evil old family doctor from forever and a half ago.

"I take it you don't like any doctors... or nurses in my case." she laughed lightly shaking her head. "We're not all bad you know, only the occasional one who goes crazy and starts cutting off their patient's pinky toes and feeding it to their cat." she grinned. "Kidding by the way." she laughed.
