Caitlyn sighed as she stepped onto the sands of the beach, stretching. The breeze off the sea caught her hair, making it dance around her petite form. She looked back, waiting for Jubei, and feeling a bit embarrassed. She had displayed almost childlike excitement as they drew closer to the sea, but the vista in front of her was amazing. The sands were bleached a beautiful silvery-white by the moonlight, and the sea was peaceful and calm. She could see the moon reflected in its black depths. The entire sight was enough to bring a smile to her face, and knowing that she was here with an incredibly handsome, very mysterious, and highly enticing man made it all the better.

(Of course) Jubei smiled as he followed her onto the beach, taking off his shoes and socks first. He set them in a bush near the entrance, careful not to forget them there, and stood behind her, putting his hands upon her shoulders gently, stroking them lightly. Always the one to tease and make the girl blush, he chuckled and leaned closer to her ear, whispering softly "Your eyes are like the moon, and your soul the powerful waves that crash below it." He grinned, awaiting her predictable reaction in the form of her turning into a Mystic Tomato. [/blockquote]

[Sure ^^]
For the moment, at least, Caitlyn was going to keep her shoes on. Though the idea of being barefoot in the sand was tempting, the idea of shrinking three inches was not. She glanced bake as he came up behind her, and reached up to put one of her hands on his. Predictably, his comment caused her cheeks to go bright red. "You have got to stop making me blush," she said. "I don't usually do it this often."

He chuckled and moved his hands away from her shoulders and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close against him gently, resting his chin on the top of her head. "But it's so fun. You're even cuter when you're red." He smiled and looked down at her from his perch atop her head. "So I take it you like the beach then?" [/blockquote]

Caitlyn just sighed. She probably would have added in a head-shake, but his chin on top of hers made that rather difficult. Unfortunately, being held up against him was making her blush even more. "Yeah," she said, her voice soft. "I love it. It's so beautiful, especially at night." She looked back at him, her blush just beginning to fade a little.

As far as Rex could tell, the people who she had attempted to woo at the Tora clan had been completely ignoring the orders they were given. But then again, she couldn't really blame them now could she? How boastful she was yet losing the Plantation Manor. Rex wandered towards Deep Sea Tides, only to find the girl she had instructed to do so hadn't even set foot on the beaches.
Rex was growing quite irritated of having things not go her way, when she spotted the silhouettes of two lovers off in the distance. Adjusting her eyes, she could make out quite a many details. The rather short young lady in the stilettos off in the distance was most noticeably that of belonging to her clan mate Caitlyn. But the second man was rather mysterious, Rex knew she hadn't seen him before.
Not bother to take off her pretty little dress shoes, Rex calmly walked towards the group. "Excuse me, you two seem rather... lost." she called out, though notably meaning it in a sarcastic tone. Her eyes locked with the man's yellow eyes, and she immediately knew who he was. A more determined look about Rex now.
"Yes, Ookami Clan and Tora Clan, clearly not meant to be together like this." A look of utter seriousness appeared on Rex's face, purposely trying to interrupt their lovey dovey scene and be confrontational.

"Buggar." He grinned and released his date, chuckling. "Rex Coelestis...how keen of you to join us." He whispered something very quietly, hopefully just loud enough that Caitlyn could hear it. "Count to 3, Run to the left. Down the beach a ways is a cave, enter, turn right into room." He just smiled and stepped in front of her. "Sadly, my dear, I already have a date tonight. Not that you aren't my type, but unless my dear would like to share me this good night..." He grinned that stupid grin, flirty as always. [/blockquote]

"Cut the sweet talk Jubei." Rex crossed her arms across her chest. "I'm not here for any theatrics. You, as a top ranked member of the Ookami clan, are a sworn enemy of the Tora and Kuma." He looked towards Caitlyn, a mild look of disgust, before turning back to the Butterfly Knife.
"Attempting to use your swarthy charm and dark brooding demeanor to lure young, impressionable girls into your arms only to turn them against their own clan." He took a step forward, duel disk at the ready, trying to look as imposing as possible.

"You're pretty cute, being so tough and still short." He laughed and pulled up the sleeve of his long-sleeve shirt, tapping his custom-made Duel Disc. It expanded as they watched, deck already loaded. "I don't know if I'll win, so whenever you want to run..." He whispered to the girl behind him, nodding his head toward the direction of the cave. "I'd hate for our date to end because of a meddler." He grinned and drew his cards. "You may go first, m'lady." [/blockquote]

(OOC: Err, does Jubei know Rex is supposed to be a woman? Or is he just doing all the "m'lady" stuff as means to annoy and/or demean "him"?)
"You can quiet down with all the insults if you're ready to duel. I don't believe Miss Masters would appreciate you using her gender as a term of mockery."
*20 minutes later*
Rex and Jubei's battle raged furiously. Rex's bright and beautiful fairies put him her at the lead for a while, but the Butterfly knife managed to lock down her attacks. When all seemed lost, Rex managed to get out her signature combo, Brionac and Tethys, Goddess of Light. With Tethys' Heart-Of-The-Underdog-like effect fueling massive draws and Brionac's effect to return cards to the hand, she attacked into a fully cleared field, ending the duel in her favour.
A smug sarcastic little clap. "Well well well, it seems the Butterfly Knife's skills are slipping." He stated, just fine with emasculating Jubei in front of an audience.

He just chuckled as the duel continued. "You can't think that people haven't already guessed at what you might be, can you? Alright, very well. Then make your move, Mr. Colestis. He simply grinned at the 'man' and waited. Jubei was very keen at detecting the difference between women and men, being the flirt he was, and he had more than a suspicion...
~~20 Minutes Later~~
"Oh dear. Seems I lost." He shrugged and folded his Duel disc back to his arm, deck still inside. "Such a shame. So, what happens now?" [/blockquote]

Caitlyn wasn't quite sure how to react to Rex's appearance. She was fluctuating between pissed that he intruded and a little bit abashed. Yes, she was fully aware that she shouldn't be out here, getting snuggly with someone from another clan. No, she did not give a flying potato. Her normal reaction would have been to stay and give Mr. Coelestis a very loud, angry piece of her mind. However, she didn't have time to get a word in edgewise before they were dueling.
Even then, she probably could have left, but she chose to stay. After Jubei lost, she crossed her arms.
"I believe what happens next ought to be up to me." She said, her voice sharp as a dagger as she stepped out form behind Jubei. Her eyes were icy. However, her anger was not directed at Jubei. No, it was directed at Rex.
Cailtyn Masters had two different types of anger. The lesser one was when she raged hot, and that usually involved yelling, foul language, and thrown objects. However, it vanished as quickly as it appeared, and the person who had angered her was likely to be quickly forgiven.
Unluckily for Rex, he had triggered the second type. This was a cold, icy rage that set in and held for a very, very long time. She was no "impressionable young girl." Three years on the streets and three more involved in this disgusting, pointless clan war had taught her plenty.
"I have been taking care of myself since I was ten, Mister Coelestis. I think I can do it now."

"Hmm?" Rex could note the fact that Caitlyn was upset. He knew he'd need to choose his words carefully to avoid burning any bridges.
"I recognize you're an independent woman, free and capable of making your own decisions. I think you know me a little better then that." Rex spoke, before adjusting and fixing her tie. "Do not feel as though this duel was about you or anything you've done. He is an enemy of the Tora Clan, plain and simple, who awarded our clan the gravest of insults by stealing the Momentum Tower from us. Us. The Tora Clan. Our Clan." She added extra emphasis to the last of it, emphasizing how important the clan was.
"If your plan is to reward his thievery and unchivalrous behaviour with kisses under the moonlight, then be my guest." Rex turned her back on the pair walking forward, but calling out once again.
"At the end of the day Miss Masters, I know you'll make the right choice. I trust you completely. It's that young gentleman, if he can be called thus, that I do not trust."

Caitlyn waited for Rex to attempt to defend himself. Even as angry as she was, she could take a moment to breathe and calm down as Rex spoke. Howeve,r even if she was calming herself, that didn't mean she necessarily believed or liked everything Rex was saying.
"Actually, no, I don't, seeing as we really have only met once before this," she pointed out, her voice still sharp. Rex's next statement actually got a derisive laugh and snort from her.
"I am fully aware of what happened at the Momentum Tower, Coelestis." She said. "In case you forgot, I was the one who lost that duel." She crossed her arms. "And would you have challenged him if he hadn't been with me?" She shook her head. "I think not." Though Caitlyn wasn't going to suddenly turn traitor to her clan for Jubei, she certainly didn't have overmuch loyalty to it. She had taken equal amounts of crap from members of all the clans when she was a street girl.
"Who I plan to give my kisses to and why is certainly none of your business." She pointed out. However, her anger was beginning to fade. Slowly, she took a few deep breaths.
"Go, Rex, and hope that I've warmed to you the next time we run into each other," she said simply. She would hate for this to completely ruin their budding friendship, but she did have her pride.
