"It's really not very recent," Caitlyn said, "but we're going to drop this conversation." She said, shaking her head. It had looked almost interesting when she saw the beginning, but then...well, it had disintegrated into crap.
She laughed and shook her head. "No, I just ate," she shrugged. "Come on, let's go," she beckoned, walking to the theaters in the back.

Rex blinked, but decided not to delve to deeply. Caitlyn had respected her wishes to remain silent considering the medical division, so she felt it only right to respect her wishes considering whatever Water World was.
Entering the slightly dark theater, Rex managed to find a pair of seats for the two someone near the back. "Err... I perfer to sit in the back. Is that alright?" she questioned. Sitting in the front row caused her neck to strain up, as well as hurting her vision.

Caitlyn was glad Rex dropped the subject. She didn't want to get into one of the worst cinematic experiences of her life.
She looked around, and nodded. "That's actually perfect. It's less likely that there will be someone blocking the view, and you don't have to strain your neck to see the screen," she said, shrugging. Besides that, many of the more frontward seats were already being crowded in.

Rex nodded and was glad Caitlyn could see it her way. She took a seat where she had pointed out previously, of course in the furthest seat so Caitlyn wouldn't have to squeeze past her or anything uncomfortable.
Rex rested both of her hands on her lap, never a fan of having to argue or fight for the armrests. She tried to sit back and relax, as waited for the movie and/or upcoming movies trailers to begin.
(OOC: Feel free to RP out any kind of movie or previews if you want. *nods*)

Caitlyn sat down next to Rex, and leaned back in her hair, watching the previews. Most of them blurred together, but one was a trailer for a movie based on one of her favorite books. "Huh. They're finally making Callista Maer's books into movies. That should be interesting." Se commented. Then, she hushed, as the movie began.
As she had expected, the beginning seemed rather lame. However, she wasn't just going to write it off simply because of that.
[OOC: Win if you can figure out who "Callista Maer" is supposed to be xD]

(Stephanie Meyer? 0_0)
"Pinocchia, my name is Giuseppe. I am your programmer!"
"Psh, that's original." muttered Rex under his breathe, before being shushed by about a dozen or so movie goers, making more noise then Rex originally did. Rex leaned further in her seat, trying to hide from the possibly violent audience.
"No! NO! That's not true! That's impossible!"
Rex yawned a little. If he were a boy and if he liked Caitlyn, he may have performed the biggest movie date cliche, pretending to yawn and putting his arm around the girl. However, being neither male nor being particularly smitten with Caitlyn, her arm did raise, however it managed to land on the arm rest instead.
"Search your feelings Pinnochia, you know it to be true."
"Hey Caitlyn" whispered Rex, leaning towards her. "Do you think we should-"
Zshoom!
"Woah!" Half the audiences seemed to jump back as well, as Rex clutched at Caitlyn's arm, surprised at the scene he had just witnessed, where Giuseppe pulled out a laser sword and cut off Pinnochia's arm.
"See? It's completely mechanical."
"No... no... NOOO!!!"
And suddenly! More violence, mayhem and carnage ensued as Rex's grip on Kaitlyn tightened

[OOC: Nope xD Cassandra Clare, author of The Mortal Instruments trilogy. Much better than Twilight.]
Caitlyn's eyebrows flicked up. She dropped her voice so only Rex could hear. "They're stealing that line form an ancient movie," she said, her voice barely audible. As the scene continued, she snorted. "Actually, they're stealing the whole scene," she said. Caitlyn had indeed watched the entire series that this film was currently "borrowing" from.
She was almost expecting the "yawn-as-excuse" trick, so when Rex's hand didn't end up around her shoulders she was a little surrpised.
However, the laser sword still made her jump, especially when Rex grabbed onto her arm. She responded by gripping his, her eyes wide with shock. Still stealing from the old movie, but it was very much more dramatic than she had expected.

(OOC: Yay! *rather dislikes Twilight* <_<)
Even after the intensely graphic and violent scene ended, Rex continued holding onto Caitlyn, the sight and story of the movie taking her in and distracting her from the fact that her hands were intertwined with the females.
"Sir, do we have the authority to release Monstro to defeat Pinnochia?"
"Huh?" she snapped out of the story for just a second.
"So let me get this straight-" She stopped, noting where her hands had traveled while she was distracted. "S-sorry." she blushed, releasing her grip on Caitlyn's hand and (possibly? assuming Caitlyn didn't reach for Rex's hand) pulled her own hand back to her side.
"So wait, their plan to stop the insane killer robot girl is to release an even more insane, even more deadlier robot whale?" she asked.

[OOC: The Mortal Instruments got me over Twilight xD]
Caitlyn's own suspension of disbelief was pretty much shot by the idea of releasing the whale.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me," she muttered. She barely seemed to notice that she was holding Rex's hand-and even if she'd known "he" was a "she," she wouldn't have cared. She glanced down as Rex pulled away, raising her eyebrows.
"If I'd minded I would have said something," she informed him, but she didn't move to relink their hands. She nodded at Rex's plot commentary.
"Apparently." She snorted. "That'll work," she said, her voice thick with sarcasm.

Rex blinked. She was about to ask what Caitlyn meant about 'not minding' when suddenly-
ROAR!
Followed by crashing and the leveling of a good piece of modern Hatsu Itonami. Rex jumped, but did her best to avoid confiding in her friend for right now. She tried to laugh off her surprise.
"Well... I guess that's why we're not brilliant and handsome scientists." she joked, a smile on her face. "We didn't think their plan would wo-"
"Hehehe."
Pinnochia's faint giggling emerged from the speakers of the theater as the camera panned to the robot's landing spot, a destroyed car factory. (That is, a destroyed factory that produced cars, not a factory that produces destroyed cars. Quite a difference there.)
"Is that all you've got Monstro? They told me you'd be deadlier and more insane."
The charming little girl from the terrible Sidney Channel show was on the screen now, nothing left but a mostly disembodied stump, with only one arm left and a head, skin peeled back to reveal her robotic underlays. She used her arm to slowly scoot around.
"Humanity programmed me to be able to repair myself from spare parts lying about. Big mistake."
Taking scraps of metal from from several red and blue trucks, she somehow managed to graft them together very quickly to construct a rather large metal automated suit, that was similar, yet not copyright infringing, to a certain red and blue transforming truck.
Rex tried to suppress laughter, but she couldn't help but be awestruck at the entire battle scene between a large robotic whale and a large half little girl, half robot, half truck, mathematical monstrosity, despite how stupid it all was.

At the loud roar and crash, Caitlyn ended up grabbing Rex's arm without even thinking about it. Sure, her suspension of disbelief had been murdered, but this was still a sci-fi action film, and it was still scary. She just nodded at Rex's words, slowly letting go of his arm. She blushed a little and shook her head. How embarrassing.
She just shook her head as she watched Pinnochia put herself back together. "And to think I expected this movie to be boring," she said, her eyebrows flicking up. She had totally not expected the particular reference that was currently playing out on screen. She was trying to figure out how it could possibly work without actually infringing on copyright.
She sat back in her seat, trying as hard as Rex not to laugh. She reached up and covered her mouth, shocked by the absolute absurdity the movie had descended into.

After taking the fight through the fireworks factory, the super model women's bathing house, the car race track, the battle finally looked like it ended up in an exact replica of Power Tool Theater.
"Wh-what?" Rex anxiously looked around, half expecting to see the wall break down, as though the battle between Pinnochia and Monstro was a live newscast rather then an overrated CGI battle sequence.
Finally, Pinnochia came up with a dazzling idea. She punched through Monstro's fuel tank, causing the whale to leak out massive amount of gasoline. Finally, Pinnochia herself dragged her metal arm on the ground, causing a ton of sparks to go off, igniting the monstrous whale in a huge explosion.
Rex seemed astonished, so much so he hadn't stopped to wonder why Pinnochia couldn't just have burst his fuel tank from the beginning and just leave him completely immobile. The entire city was engulfed in fire, and destroyed in the horrifying battle.
Suddenly, a tall lanky out of place man in a full suit and dark sunglasses approached the giant uncopyright-infringing Optimus Pinnochia.
"Very well done little lady. However, me and my partner, Agent Smith are gonna bring you down."
The tall awkward looking man took a step back, as his African American partner, also in a suit, stepped up wielding a futuristic rifle.
"That's right! You're about to move in with your auntie and uncle to Bel Ai-!"
But before he could finish, Pinnochia swung her massive, truck-like arms towards him, sending the man flying off into this distance. The second man seemed not too concerned with what had just happened. He pulled out a regular and not at all futuristic (and considering it was the year 3100, probably antique) gun and started firing.
Pinnochia seemed to move in slow motion with awesome music playing in the background. She bent at her robotic knees, just barely managing to avoid the projectiles. Considering she was about a metric ton of steel and iron, it didn't make too much sense as to why she bothered getting out of the way.
"So wait, who's the good guy here?" asked Rex, tugging at Caitlyn's shirt sleeves.

Caitlyn yelped as the very realistic CGI scene seemed to tumble into the theater, and ended up clinging tightly to Rex's arm. She felt absolutely no guilt or embarrassment whatsoever. She was scared, and he was close. She yelped again as Pinnochia shattered Monstro's fuel line, even though it did occur to her that it would have made a lot more sense to do that earlier.
She jumped at the entrance of the obvious MIBs, and then shook her head and giggled a little.
"I'm not even sure anymore," she told Rex, shaking her head as Pinnochia leaped at the suited man, who continued to fire at her even though it was clearly having no effect.

The slow motion and awesome gun slinging violence between Pinnochia and Agent Smith continued, (both of the Agents were named Smith BTW) when suddenly Smith stopped firing.
"Why are we fighting like this Pinnochia. So much senseless violence. Can't you see? You're The One... the only one for me. I love you."
"What!?" Rex looked as though he had just been slapped in the face with a fish, utterly dumbfounded and absolutely perplexed at what just happened.
"Oh Agent Smith! I love you too!"
Pinnochia transformed into a truck, and Agent Smith rode on top of her, into the sun set, the silhoutte of the ruins of Hatsu Itonami laying about everywhere.
The End?
And just like that, the lights came back on and the movie was over, the credits rushing past as it showed Pinnochia and Agent Smith driving along, and the merry adventures they probably had along the way.
"Wh-what just happened?" Rex looked completely confused, scratching his chin with his one free hand, not noticing that Caitlyn was still clinging onto him.

Caitlyn was drawn into the gun battle until...it abruptly stopped. She stared at the screen, trying to puzzle out if she could possibly be correct or not. It just didn't seem possible. Finally, she managed to pull out some coherent thoughts.
"Um, to be honest, for a minute there I thought that was going to go in a completely different direction." She said, shaking her head. As the lights came back on, Caitlyn slowly began to disentangle herself from Rex.
"I think they fell madly in love in the space of about twelve seconds. Had he even showed up in the movie before just now?" Caitlyn asked. "Am I the only one who gets the feeling that the script was finished, at the last minute and at incredible expense, by a team of trained llamas?"
