Mina felt her grip on the small bunch of flowers tighten, probably a bit too much. She'd been waiting outside of the Wok for about ten minutes, she'd made sure that she was early so she wouldn't make Julie wait, but honestly she was thinking that was a mistake. It just gave her time to doubt if the other woman would come. I mean they made the plans pretty suddenly and oh god was bringing flowers too much? Was Julie going to be expecting that? Oh man oh man she hadn't dated since freshman year of college she was probably way out of practice with everything. The thoughts spiraled and Mina had to take a deep breath to relax and avoid mangling the flowers.
'Please please please,' she found herself repeating over over in her brain like a mantra. 'Please please please show up.'

Okay, if Julie had her directions correct The Wok should be coming up pretty soon. She glanced at her phone to check the time before putting it back in her purse(she normally didn't carry a purse, but her sun dress didn't exactly have pockets), she was right on time. Granted, Julie would have preferred getting there a little early just in case, but she was still having trouble navigating her way around the city, she just really hoped she hadn't kept Mina waiting.
The blue eyed Tora came up to the restaurant and spotted Mina. "Hey!" She called with a wave. "Sorry, you weren't waiting for too long were ya?" She asked, sounding a little concerned before noticing the flowers. "Oh! Are those for me?" She blushed a little and smiled, wasn't that sweet?

Mina's eyes widened happily as Julie appeared. Thank god! There she was. "Nothing I couldn't have avoided," she admitted, "got here early." She glanced down to the flowers and jerked them out towards Julie, a goofy grin spreading across her face. "Yes! Uh, yes they are for you." She fumbled out,a small blush creeping over her cheeks.
"We should head in," she said, jerking her thumb to the door. The Wok would start getting busy in a little bit, better get a table before the restaurant got swarmed.

Julie couldn't help but giggle as she took the flowers from Mina. She was just adorable, and here the younger Tora was thinking she'd be the flustered one of the two? "Thanks, I love 'em!" They really were pretty, she'd just have to find something to put them in when she got back to the dorms, shouldn't be too hard to find a make shift vase.
She looked up from the flowers and nodded. "Sounds good, I'm starving." Keith said this place was pretty good, she was pretty anxious to try the food.

Mina nodded and headed for the door, opening it and bowing a bit jokingly. "After you, m'lady," she said with a smile. It was only polite after all, Julie was carrying things after all.

Julie smiled and laughed a little. "Why thank you," She replied before entering. Oh man, she could already SMELL food, oh this was wonderful~
The two were greeted by a hostess who asked if it was a table for two. Julie gave a quick nod and they were lead to a booth. Once the menus were handed to them the hostess was off and Julie looked around a little more as she sat her things down beside her. "This place is pretty nice." She commented as she opened the menu up. So much food to chose from, what should she get?

Mina nodded. "It's the best reviewed place in the city for food vs prices." Affordable and delicious, especially for a college kid like Mina. "Burgers and their chicken are great, so're their ribs." She was pretty sure their salads were alright too, but honestly she had never bothered with them in the past. She came here for entrees, not appetizers. And that rack of babyback ribs was calling her name ever-so-sweetly.

Julie's smiled widened. "Chicken? Oh I know what I want now." Now the question was how she'd want the chicken. Strips were a little more on the kiddish side she figured, but the chicken breast actually sounded really good and according to the menu it had wonderful seasoning. Yep, that was what she was getting.
She sat her menu down once she came to her decision, just in time for a waiter to come by to ask what they'd want to drink. "Tea, please." She said, glancing over at Mina for her to go next. If Mina knew what she wanted now they could probably order their food right then too, but it was best to not assume on that she figured.

"Water's fine for me, mind if we put in our orders for food, too?" She asked with a grin. The waiter just nodded. "Great, cool, thanks. I'll take the babyback ribs with barbeque sauce and a side of those truffle-fries," she ordered. Always get fries at the Wok. It was just a thing you needed to do. She'd gladly split them with Julie, though, she doubted the other Tora knew of that yet. But she'd understand soon.

Julie picked her menu up again as the waiter looked back to her. "Oh, um, I'll just have the chicken breast?" She pointed to where it was on the menu as she spoke just to make sure she was getting the right thing. The waiter gave another nod and took the two menus before going off.
"So are there any other plans after this?" She asked, smile still bright. She wouldn't mind taking a walk or something afterwards, the weather was really nice out today.

Mina shrugged. "Well I did offer to show you the town, didn't I?" She said with a smile. "There's the arena where I think a play's going on later, the gardens probably would be nice to walk through, the beach is open..." She ticked off the list on her fingers. "There's also the manor and there's some fun shops in the mall, and there's the theater, but the weather's too nice to be inside all day."

Julie nodded. "Yeah, I'm up for anything outside really, and you know the town a lot better than I do." She gave a laugh and scratched the back of her head. She hadn't been on a date in a while, weren't they suppose to get to know each other? Yeah, yeah that sounded about right, then questions were probably a good idea for the moment.
"But we can figure that out later," she said, resting her arms on the table. "Said you're in college right? What's your major?" That sounded like a good place to start.

Mina blinked. Oh... Right, dating was to talk about each other and get to know one another. Dammit, she should have prepared some proper questions for Julie. Aaaaugh she was probably going to sound so dumb-- "Engineering," She said. "Mechanical engineering, really. I've liked taking things apart and putting them back together since I was a little girl, and it just seemed to fit."
Now quick, Mina, pull a question out! "Uh-" She stammered a bit. "What about you? Any college?" Okay no, something a little more intelligent probably would have been good.

Julie blinked. "Wow, engineering sounds pretty cool." Sounded like it'd pay well once she finished too, good for her.
At the next question the younger girl shook her head and gave an awkward laugh. "No, not really." She admitted, feeling a bit embarrassed. "School was never really my thing, I don't even know how I graduated to be honest." She wasn't exactly stupid, but hanging out with the wrong crowd kind of helped stray her away from an academic path. To be honest she wouldn't even know what she would go to college for if she ever did decide to go.

Mina just nodded. "It's not for everyone," she admitted and scratched her cheek. "Heck, I'm surprised it even kind-of works for so many people." Institutionalized education was important, definitely, but it didn't always work for people. "What do you think you want to do, then?" She decided to ask. "I mean, if college isn't your thing, you're heading into the workforce right away, right?"
