"Search me, but you don't just give up and let her leave you entirely. You're miserable, she's probably just as miserable..." The gunslinger gave a shrug. "You know her better than I do, what you do is up to you." But giving up? That didn't seem right.

Well that wasn't too helpful, Gabe thought, but at least he tried. Fei was stubborn, hell they both were, but there really wasn't much he thought he could do, especially not in the state he was right now. Still, he wouldn't trash the advice completely. "Yeah, alright. Thanks." He said.
He paused for a moment, almost hesitantly before he spoke again. "And thanks for saving my ass back there, too." He hadn't thanked Satoru for that yet, and after the sacrifice he'd made Gabe felt he deserved at least that much. "Don't give me any crap about how it was your fault I was there in the first place either. Just take it, alright?"

Satoru held up his hands in mock defense. "Alright alright, you're welcome. It's not like I could let my kid die, could I?" Honestly, as much as he hated the current situation... if he had to do it again, choose between his legs or Gabe... He'd pick Gabriel every time. There wasn't really a contest when there was a kid in your life, he supposed...

Gabe gave a small smile at that. There was a time when that phrase would have made him flinch, or even start yelling about how really wasn't his kid, but now it actually felt right again after all this time. Why had he started fighting with Satoru in the first place? Hell he couldn't even remember, how lame was that? Looked like there was hope with this fucked up family after all.
"Yeah, yeah I guess not."

Satoru was content to let that be that, but it was still a couple of hours until dawn, let alone the relative time most humans would awaken and face the day. "Tell me how you plan to explain the train-wreck that's your face to Adrianna?" He asked, because the girl would WANT to know and possibly commit crimes never before heard of upon their eardrums unless given answers or a good bribe. She was Gabe's best friend, after all. She'd want answers.

Gabe let out a groan and fell back into the couch. "I'm probably just gonna have to tell her the truth." He didn't really WANT to, but well, he kinda owed her. "I didn't really tell her the full details from my last trip to the hospital, and because of it I had to do something else for her that'd I'd rather not do again." He was NEVER doing that dress up(she called it cosplay, it was still dress up) shit again, EVER.

"Cosplay?" Satoru asked. Adrianna was a nerd, and he had enough experience with nerdy things (thanks to Mina and her chatter) that he knew what it was. It was exactly the kind of thing Gabe would hate until the sun imploded, if not hate for even LONGER.

Instead if giving a simple yes or no, Gabe took the can of soda he'd had and held it up to his mouth. "Never again…" he muttered quietly before taking a drink. Thank GOD Frankie was at work when Adriana had been taking the pictures, if he had seen word would have gone to his dad and he would NEVER hear the end of it.

Satoru couldn't help but snicker at that. In actuality it couldn't have been THAT bad (unless... what was that thing Mina had said once? Crossplay? Whatever...) and that kind of made Gabe's hatred of it funnier. He understood the teen's dislike of it but... Really, how bad could it be?

A small glare was being sent to the older man as Gabe heard him snicker. Between the cape and all the HAIRSPRAY, that was something the blond teen never wanted to do again if he could absolutely keep from it.

Satoru just smirked in return, like hell he was backing down from a kid less than half his age and with so much less experience with being generally threatening. Like. Fucking. Hell.

After a moment or so Gabe rolled his eyes and smirked the slightest bit. "You've seriously got problems." He laughed quietly. Was he stating the obvious on that one? Oh yeah, big time, but he could still point it out now and then if he could.

"That, Gabe, is what they call a fucking understatement," he corrected, still smirking. "Where do you think you get it from?" Nature had contributed plenty, and nurture had contributed a hell of a lot more. There were definitely better parents out there than Satoru Alabaster, after all. Still, at least he hadn't killed the kid.

"Oh no," Gabe started, shaking his head. "No I'm the normal one in this family." He supposed that wasn't really medal worthy, but for growing up around tattoos, guns, and cigarette smoke, the blond actually turned into a decent human being. HOW he had managed that exactly he wasn't really sure, but it was there.
