He blinked a bit, was there anything that he really considered fun that he did? Most of it was necessary and he just... did it because no one else did. But... "Well," he said, deciding to eliminate shooting things and stealing stuff from his list of possible fun activities. "I like to read... and I like music." He had a beaten-up radio that he was constantly repairing in his room, and it was one of his most prized possessions next to his guns (and a tattered copy of Of Mice And Men). "You?"

Reading and music? So he wasn't completely strange, that stuff was normal. Naoko shrugged. "I dance a lot." More like skipped around and spun a little, but dancing sounded better. "Then sometimes I watch my daddy teach my brother to shoot guns, but that's not fun." She stuck her tongue out at that. Her dad said that she was gonna learn too when she got a little bit older, she wasn't very excited.

"It's better when you're the one holding the gun," He conceded to the blond child as he laughed at the face she pulled. "Then you can... sort of treat it like a game," not how he did it, but he could imagine that being the case. Besides, it was an important skill, especially if her family was military. "And I dance too," he said to steer the conversation back into safe territory. "Not well, but..."

She guessed that made sense, but it didn't mean she was any more excited to start. Naoko giggled as the topic was changed. "I bet you're good~!" She insisted, hopping up to her feet and setting her bunny on the counter again. "Dance with me, it'll be fun~" Sure there weren't any music, but you didn't need it if you REALLY wanted to dance. She paused and blushed from embarrassment as she remembered his arm. "Well I uh, guess you don't have to…" Besides, that would be weird right?

Damn his weakness for kids to hell, it would get him killed one day he was sure. "Fine," he dragged out the 'i' in an almost whine as he hauled himself up to his feet. He had a great sense of rhythm, but there wasn't any music... He just hoped Naoko would have the sense to keep in time with him. He held out his good hand for her.

Naoko's blush darkened a little as she took Satoru's hand, keeping her free hand close to her chest since she wasn't too sure what to do with it. Still, this could be fun. She'd only danced with her parents and sometimes her brother if he felt like it, so she'd be lying if she said she wasn't excited.

Satoru laughed a little as he watched her blush. Cute kid, kinda like a little sister he never really wanted but apparently was getting to talk to and dance with. He took her other hand gingerly with his injured one and started leading her through a few steps, counting quietly. "One-two-three, one-two-three..."

Naoko kept her eyes on her feet, partly because she didn't want to step on his foot on accident, and also because she was trying to hide her blush. "One-two-three, one-two-three…" She muttered quietly with him, just to make sure she wouldn't trip up. Oh they were DANCING together! It was fun and easy and even though she loved dancing with her dad, she almost liked this more.

"Don't look atcher feet," he said, "you'll just make yourself trip." He laughed out quietly. The kid was cute, and at least he'd be able to dance with SOMEONE before he wound up dead in a gutter somewhere... It was kinda comforting.

Naoko looked back up at that. "Right, sorry." She said, smiling sheepishly. Darn it she was still blushing, but he didn't seem to mind so that was good. "Y-you are good at dancing, I knew it." Better than her at least, but she didn't mind, just meant she'd have to get better.

"Just cuz I'm not tripping doesn't mean I'm good," he replied, waving off the compliment as they kept dancing. "You'll be better'n me before long, I bet." She'd have time to practice at least.

"Yeah, probably." Naoko giggled. This was great, she didn't want it to stop.
Unfortunately the footsteps she heard down the hall were going to interrupt that.

Shit.
Satoru froze, dropping Naoko's hands to bolt behind some cover. ANY cover. This one turned out to be the big standing cupboard. Hopefully it would be enough to keep him out of the eyes of any new eyes...

Naoko grabbed her bunny once Satoru hid, as she turned around she saw a rather larger man with a bald head standing at the door. "Naoko, your mother and father have been looking everywhere for you." His voice was stern and a little louder than was needed. He looked around and noticed the extra bandages and medical tape laying around. "Why is all this out?" He barked.
The little blond clinged to her bunny tighter. "I-I was playing doctor…" She stuttered nervously. Please don't let him see Satoru…
The bald man walked over and grabbed her wrist to tug her along. "Come on, you've got a lot to explain."
Naoko nodded her head and sniffled as her eyes started to tear up. "Yes, sir." She said quietly as she was taken away. She took one last look behind her before leaving the room. She looked where he had hid, but she couldn't get a good look at him before she was pulled out of the room completely. She didn't even get to say goodbye, and now she gonna get in trouble…

Satoru peeked out from behind the cabinet as the man retrieved Naoko. That was his cue to get moving... But...
He knew how much goodbyes meant to kids. Wouldn't bode well to leave without saying goodbye. Looks like he'd have to leave a note for her... But where so that only she'd find it? Her room, obviously.
It didn't take too long to find out which one that was, the decor gave it away. He had snagged some paper and a pen from the infirmary and he quickly scribbled a note. It wasn't much, but with luck she'd find it soon. He tucked it under his pillow and slipped out.
The paper that Naoko would inevitably find held a simple message.
'Thank you.'
