Yukiko gently led Theo forward, assuming Usagi would follow. Seeing as she was the only one who knew where her apartment was (at least, she hoped the least welcome member of their group didn't already know its location), it only made sense for her to lead. Thankfully, the pair hadn't taken too many turns during their earlier flight, so it wasn't too hard to return to the front of the manor.
"You haven't seen my apartment yet, have you?" The Ookami tried her best to make conversation. She figured it would help to improve the mood, at least for Theo. "I just moved in so it's still kind of messy, and it's a little small... but it's a nice place."

Usagi followed behind the pair, glaring at their joined hands with the strength of a thousand burning suns. Neither of them seemed to sense it, much to his displeasure. Theo was SMILING for god's sake...
"I'm sure it's fine," Theo said quietly, voice still wavering a bit but stronger... Apparently being around his friends bolstered his courage. Usagi would have had a smug smirk on his face, but there was not real victory when Yuki was half the cause...

"It's better than constantly drifting between base and my mom's house, that's for sure." She finally had a place that was all her own, and well as a great job, great friends, and people she loved dearly... It seemed as though the Ookami was finally getting her life together. Yukiko smiled in Theo's direction once more. Something told her that he was probably one of the key motivators in all of that.

Theo nodded, he himself just had his room at the headquarters, but given the chance to move out he would love to. He completely understood what Yuki meant. He gave her a smile in return, the talking helping him get back to normal. Or just being around Yuki... Really it could be either, they both had that effect. "Where do you work, again?" he asked, it had to pay well if she managed to get her own apartment... Though, the clans did have a meager salary...

"I work at a daycare," Yukiko answered, smiling. She really loved her job; just talking about it put her in a good mood. "I just take care of little kids all day long while their parents work." She laughed sheepishly. "It doesnt really sound all that special, but I really love those kids." The Ookami could easily spend the entire day reading stories and playing pretend with toddlers without it getting monotonous. Children were so simple and curious and cheerful; she couldn't get enough of them.

Theo perked up a bit. "That sounds like fun," he replied earnestly. He liked little kids. They were tiny and cute and they were usually very sweet... and their problems were always very simple and easy to solve. It was a good sort of simplicity, a warm kind of thing.
Usagi just rolled his eyes. He could deal with one anklebiter easily, more than one was just asking for a headache as far as he was concerned. Who the hell would put themselves through that? Kids were brats and they screamed and cried and-- and they were fragile as hell. There was nothing you could do with them... Honestly he didn't see the point.

Yukiko nodded. "It usually is... I mean, nap time isn't always fun to deal with, but..." She scratched her chin. "I dunno, they're just good kids. Sometimes I wish I could take them home with me." She chuckled. "But I suppose I might have my own children in the future, so I guess I can wait." Having a nice, peaceful family sounded like a dream come true to Yukiko. Seeing as she had spent so much of her life raising children that were not hers, it only made sense that she would want a family of her own to look after.
