Another night, another round of partying teenagers. Jamie really did love his job. He slid another two drinks down at a couple by the end of the bar and winked at them, holding up a thumbs up to let them know that those two were on him. He could afford it, after all. It wasn't like he actually went and BOUGHT all of his own drinks. Heck, if he had a plot to grow vegetables, he'd only be buying desserts and meat. He was becoming surprising frugal...
The redheaded bartender kept glancing absently to the door to the club. This wasn't really a spot Kaji frequented, but before they had parted last he had mentioned that the other could visit him on the job any time if he wanted some free drinks... or if he just wanted to talk. Jamie was open to both.

Why was he actually doing this again? Kaji couldn't recall any viable reason he could have possible produced to get himself to walk into the Allure. To say he wasn't a fan of nightclubs was a decent-sized understatement. They made him feel uncomfortable and acutely aware of his lack in basic social skills, neither of which Kaji was particularly fond of.
Maybe it was that he was slightly off-set by the fight he'd had with Yuna earlier. It wasn't a rare occurance, especially when she prodded him about topics he'd rather leave alone (such as his mother); however, it always made him feel like shit afterwards. Plus, he'd already had a little to drink before walking over here (there was no way he have ever made it through the door if he was completely sober).
The very out-of-place redhead quietly looked around the club before he caught a glimpse of a familar face. He was suddenly filled with a dulled feeling of panic. This had been a bad idea. He didn't belong here. Jamie hadn't see him yet, so maybe there was still time to turn around and leave...

Jamie perked up immensely as soon as a mop of red hair appeared in the door and he waved Kaji over to the bar. He hadn't expected the other ookami, really, but this was definitely a pleasant surprise! Well... he hoped so, even from a distance the other ookami looked a little... off.
Nothing a few drinks and a good heart-to-heart wouldn't fix! Now he just had to get his clanmate over to the bar...

Kaji hesitated a moment before walking over to the waving Irishman. Well, shit. No turning back now. Thankfully he didn't have to weave through too many people to reach his destination, although it did leave him very little time to think of something to say. God dammit, why had he even come here at all? He would have been better off complaining to the walls of his now cat-less apartment.
An awkward "hey" was the best the redhead could muster once he found himself at the bar, so he left the other Ookami to fill the dialogue-less void.

Jamie smiled at Kaji, though the smile toned down a bit as he looked over the sour-looking Ookami. "You alright?" He asked, voice heavy with concern. Kaji usually looked displeased with something, but not quite like this. This looked like something had actually upset the other redhead...

"Mm?" Kaji glanced over at the other redhead. "Er... Yeah, no... I'm fine." Nothing a little alcohol couldn't fix. He sat down, leaning one elbow on the bar and resting his chin against one hand. Figuring Jamie wouldn't buy that there was nothing going on, so he made sure to add, "Just a lot going on, that's all."

Jamie raised a brow but gave a small smile and slid over a drink. "This 'uns on the house." He said, though he really meant 'all the drinks you want are on the house because you look like you could use them.' He leaned on the bar as it cleared out a bit for the new song, it was a fast one that had gotten really popular this past weekened... "Ya wanna talk about it?" He asked gently to the glum Kaji.

"Not particulary," Kaji murmured before taking a decent-sized swallow of whatever it was Jamie had given him. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before continuing. "'s not a big deal anyways."

Jamie frowned a bit. "If it's upsetting you then it's a big deal ta me," he replied gently. He was prodding as gracefully as he knew how, which really wasn't very gracefully or subtle at all. He wanted to know, though! He wanted to know so he could help by doing more than just getting the other Ookami drunk.

Kaji opened his mouth to protest and then immediately closed it. Honestly, what could he say? The fight with Yuna would be messy to explain. Plus it was getting close to that time of year... Probably another reason he'd been feeling so off lately. That... well that was something he'd rather not talk about.
"Ah... well..." The Ookami straightened up, choosing his words carefully. "Just got into a fight with Yuna. Nothing major."

Jamie's eyes widened and he frowned. Fred would be here soon to relieve him of his duties (he hoped) and there was a lull in the customer flow... The redhead pulled out a second glass and filled it up before topping off Kaji's drink. He set the bottle aside and settled better against the bartop. "That doesn't sound like nothing major..." He prodded gently, taking a sip of his own drink.
"You two get along well, what happened?" Just judging from the one encounter compared to Kaji's interactions with the majority of the non-Yuna populace it was easy enough to tell they got along well. Jamie doubted it was nothing major...

Kaji opened his mouth indignantly before closing it again. He had to think about his wording carefully, so as not to give anything too revealing away. (Which wasn't so easy with alcohol eating away at his brain.) "Er, well..." He paused rather awkwardly. "She just lectures me a lot 'n stuff... And I didn't really want to hear it. Not this time."

Jamie blinked. "So you got into an argument about it..?" He prompted and asked, keeping his big, attentive, green eyes on Kaji. He WAS concerned, and it was easy enough to tell it.

Kaji nodded hesitantly. It hadn't really been all that much of an argument. It was too one-sided for that. Kaji himself had done all the yelling and storming off. But he could he had probably pissed Yuna off, which was an impressive feat within itself.
"I feel kinda shitty 'bout it," he drawled into his glass. "But she wouldn't shut upppp. She's always making annoying assumptions an' shit."

"About what?" Jamie asked gently, debating pouring Kaji another drink or not. The other redhead couldn't handle alcohol very well if he was this tipsy already, and he wouldn't get him drunk to get information. That would be too much like betrayal... so he slid the glass to the side.
