The intended message was immediately understood. It was free? Awesome! Persephone was up for anything f it meant she didn't have to pay. Although she had to say, she hadn't really expected Satoru to come along for the ride. But people could surprise you, the Tora supposed. She smiled slightly and moved to get in line. Thankfully it wasn't all to long... Persephone hated waiting.

Satoru glanced up at the rollercoaster as it came to a halt and people got off. Judging from the screams it had been pretty fast, probably around sixty miles an hour, although it didn't look TOO extreme. There was one loop, but lots of twists and dips, which was a good thing. He wasted no time in heading up to the car as it pulled into the station. The only question was to sit at the very front, or very back? Be the very first, or to go the fastest? He figured that since it was Persephone's first time, he'd give her the grace of car selection.

For Persephone, it seemed sort of natural to head for the front car. That's what people always said was the most fun, right? (Not, of course, that she had any REaL experience to go off of.) "I don't see why you thought I couldn't handle this," the Tora commented as she walked towards the front car. "It doesn't seem so bad."

Satoru shrugged. "You'd be surprised how different things are once you're on the inside." He replied, slipping into the seat next to her as the bar was pulled down. Actually, he was pretty curious about how this rollercoasted was. It looked plenty fast, but that wasn't a guarantee they'd feel it...

Persephone waved away her clanmate's comments like pesky insects. "Yeah, yeah." She squirmed in her seat for a moment and then smirked. "I guess we'll just have to see, won't we?" It was at that moment the car jolted forward, starting the slow process of climbing up the first hill. Persephone quickly looked over the ride. I didn't look all too bad, which was good; she was determined to prove Satoru wrong.
A split second later, the car tipped over the top of the hill, sending the coaster plummeting downwards with a loud whoosh. Persephone's stomach felt as if it had dropped into her lap, but it wasn't really a bad feeling. This whole thing was actually pretty fun.

Satoru couldn't help but grin a bit as the rollercoaster WHOOSHED downwards, making a steep turn and rushing through its own support beams before rocketing up for the loop. This wasn't half bad, actually, he was expecting it to be a little more tame considering the constricted space, but the surprise was a pleasant one.

A small laugh may have escaped the Tora once or twice during the ride, and she found herself smiling for its entirety. Scary? HELL no, this was awesome! Her only regret was not being able to try something like this sooner.
Persephone chuckled softly to herself as the car pulled into its station. "See? I toldja I could handle it," she states while trying to flatten her wind swept hair. On the outside the Tora seemed quite composed, but inwardly she was performing a small victory dance.

Satoru smirked a bit, determined to remain in control of the situation if only to make Persephone more flustered. "Good, you're not as pathetic as you COULD be. Nice accomplishment." It was all a matter of phrasing, Satoru had found. Mina had actually taught him the trick when they had first met as a way to disguise his disgust with some of the richer folks in the city. It wasn't a sound business plan to offend the big bucks, after all. 'Doubletalk' she had called it, referencing some British book that apparently both she and Egil had read and Satoru had never even heard of.

Persephone's smirk dropped as the dual-meaning of her clanmate's words processed and she cut a glare in his direction. "Somehow I feel as though that wasn't entirely a compliment." It WOULD be pretty odd for her to recieve an outright compliment out of the blue like that.

Satoru smirked a little. "And not QUITE as dumb as I had you pegged, maybe there's hope for you yet..." He replied smugly. He wasn't giving away his control of the situation without a fight, he hoped Persephone was prepare because it wouldn't be as much fun if she just took it.

"If you're trying to insult me, do it outright." The Tora crossed her arms over her chest. "I don't deal with all that double-talk bullshit." Which was probably because she wasn't all too good at it. If she had been, she would have probably ended up in less fights. Oh well, it couldn't be helped.

Satoru gave a barking laugh at Persephone's almost-pout. It made him realize the gap in their ages even more than he usually did. "Now why the hell would I do that when this confuses you so much?" If it gave him an upper hand you'd have to pry it away from his cold dead body before he'd give it up WILLINGLY.

"Because it's bullshit, that's why!" So what if she didn't have a better reason? She could ' say it was because she couldn't keep up with it, now could she? That would only give Satoru more of an advantage. And Persephone didn't really like feeling to inferior to her clanmate (although it was kinda hard to avoid, consideirng the notable gaps in their maturity).

Satoru bit back another chuckle and just gave a satisfied smirk. "Which is just another way of saying you can't keep up." He could read between the lines. He didn't deal with gangs and NOT pick up on the unspoken words.

Persephone scowled, searching for a valid protest. "So what if I can't keep up?" she finally managed. "At least that means I'm honest." Which was more than could be said for a lot of people. Maybe Persephone would never be good at hoity-toity fancy talk, but it wasn't something she particularly WANTED to be good at... Or so she told herself.
