The more crowded parts of the city were certainly not Mikka's style. But even one who loved seclusion as much as the she did wanted to venture into society occasionally. Having grow up in a large city for the majority of her life, the Russian was hardly unadjusted to crowds. She just had no fondness for them. However, the area in front of city hall was significantly sparse of people at this time day; most people were off taking advantage of their lunch hour.
So Mikka comfortably sat on a bench beneath one of the decorative trees, munching on some goodies she had treated herself to. After a few minutes she noticed a few pidgeon scavanging nearby. The Ookami watched them quietly before crumbling up some of her bread, and tossing it to them. The birds quickly flocked to the food, making Mikka smile. S
"You will not run away from me, huh?" Her smile widened. "And you will not try to kill me either. That is nice." She observed the pudgy birds gobbling up the bread amusedly. "My, you are quite greedy aren't you? And fat. The animals in Russia would gobble you right up." Mikka laughed at the thought.

Tekka was currently perched in the tree above where Mikka sat. To say the silver-haired woman had captured her attention was an understatement. To say she was enamored was a tad more accurate. The Russian woman was strong and kind to those that needed help... She had helped Tekka and Jack get Hotaru back without even knowing who they were...
Though the little thief wasn't stalking her, oh no! Tekka had been in the tree for the past hour, napping, and had only awoken recently. She was a bit too nervous to climb down the tree and pass the object of her affections... What if Mikka said hi? They KNEW each other, didn't they? She'd just freeze up or BLUSH and that would be the end of it all...
No, better to stay up in the tree until Mikka left.

Mikka had long since been aware that there was someone lingering nearby. Her senses had become fine-tuned over the years, so much so that the Russian was almost always able to detect the presence of others. However, this one was completely unthreatening, so she more or less ignored it up until now. But...
The Ookami's grey eyes shifted backwards, unnoticable to anyone not directly beside her. "Surely the bench is more comfortable than a tree, da? Why don't you come say hello?" She smiled and nonchalantly threw more crumbs to the pidgeons.

Tekka stiffed. Oh shit. OOOOH shit... She had been caught anyway... Tekka attempted to keep a cool demeanor as she climbed down from the tree, but a light blush was stuck on her face. With any luck she could chalk it up to the heat of summer, though. She sat down next to Mikka on the bench and said the only thing that she could really think of at the moment. "...Hi."

Mikka smiled, happy to see it was a friend of hers who had been hiding in the tree. At least she qualified Tekka as a friend. But then again, her level of familarity with people was usually different than what they typically thought. Maybe if the Russian was lucky, someone would one day considered her a friend too.
"It is good to be seeing you under different circumstances," the Ookami chimed. "Violence can be fun, but it does not make for pleasant conversation."

Tekka couldn't help but smile back. "I guess you're right." She replied. Mind clearing a bit at how relaxed Mikka seemed. The pigeons (which had scattered as Tekka had approached and sat down) were coming back again, presumably for the bread Mikka had. Tekka watched them for a moment as they pecked at dirt and pebbles before another question came to mind. "How didja know I was in the tree?" She asked, risking a glance up to Mikka's face. She hoped the Russian didn't think she was stalking her, that would just be awkward...

"I have very keen senses," the Ookami answered. She shrugged. It was a pretty straightforward answer. "I cannot be snuck up on, nor surprised. It is is only to be expected, I think, coming from where I did." Although, Mikka had always been that way. Even when she was little, the Russian was very perceptive.

"Russia, right?" The young Tora asked, as if looking for confirmation. She was really just going by accents here... She didn't really know all that much about the elder girl, but surely it couldn't be that hard to learn. Mikka seemed friendly enough with her.

"Primarily speaking, yes." Mikka nodded in confirmation. "Things in my homeland are very primeval right now." She leaned back as she spoke, finding a more comfortable postion on the bench. "Being so large, the people are having a hard time keeping up with the rest of the world. Most areas having focused on farming when they can, but since it is often too cold for crops many people starve. Without any defined leadership, the mafia has gotten a hold of the big cities; the ones that are not in ruins anyway." Despite all the negatives being described, the Ookami still smiled. "But it is beautiful." Her eyes were drawn up to the sky as she reminisced. "I have traveled many places in my life, but I have never seen anything more breathtaking than Russian snow."

Tekka stayed quiet while Mikka talked and kept her eyes on the elder woman. She wanted Mikka to see that she had Tekka's full attention and that she was listening to her... and aside from that the Russian had a very nice face, it simply made the task a lot easier. Tekka found herself smiling as Mikka smiled, wanting to mirror the look.
However it seemed that for Tekka, all smiles were damned to be crooked and so her own smile nearly looked like a smirk. If she angled her eyebrows and narrowed her eyes it could have even been a leer. "Y'know," She started as Mikka paused so she didn't wind up interrupting. "When I get older and get outta the clans, the thing I wanna do most is travel... and I think I'm gonna wanna see Russia now." Sure it would be cold and a little depressing, but she did really want to see what made Russian snow as pretty as Mikka thought it was.

Mikka smiled, almost more to herself than her companion, but it was still more genuine than her usual smirk. "It is a nice place to go, as long as you stay in the right places. Kalingrad is a good place. I spent a long time in the villages outside Saint Petersburg as well." She looked over at Tekka. "However, the countryside, the big empty fields with no towns or people to disrupt them, are the greatest." There was something like nostalgia in her gaze as she added, "I would like to return there one day. But..." The Russian paused. She couldn't really explain her worries without giving too much about her past away.

Tekka listened intently to Mikka's words and a small part of her couldn't help but wonder about what the silver-haired woman had prevented herself from saying... Tekka would learn all in good time, she figured. After all, she hoped she'd be able to talk with the Ookami a lot more. "Well," She said with a grin. "Howsabout when I get old enough to start traveling you can come to Russia with me?" She scratched her cheek. "I suck with directions, so I'd need a guide anyway..."

"That sounds like a very good idea," the Ookami replied. It wasn't exactly a guarantee; Mikka wasn't the type to make promises she wasn't positive she could keep. There were many uncertainties around returning to Russia. Alongside the risks, the white-haired teen wasn't even sure she would life long enough to do it. Mikka was aware of risky her lifestyle was and she knew that she wasn't immortal. But still. She could always hope.
The Russian cocked her head to the side, glancing over her shoulder at the shorter girl with a smile. Tekka was nice, she decided. It would be nice to call her a friend. It would also be nice if she actually stuck around awhile. Previous experience didn't make the odds look too good but, again, she could always hope.

"You know, you're really pretty when you smile." Tekka remarked. Her eyes widened as the words slipped free from her mouth. Shit! Why the hell had she said that! Why the hell was she freaking out!? That just made it all MORE incriminating!! Dammit! A blush rose to her cheeks and she facepalmed. "Ignore me." She mumbled, face heating up worse and worse.

There was a pause. Mikka blinked, trying to process Tekka's words. After a moment her smile widened. A whimsical, airy chuckle wove its way out of her throat. "Do not worry about it, comrade," she chimed. The girl was quite cute when she blushed like that. Then again, the Russian had an overall soft spot for cute and/or she people in general.
