A million little alarms went off in Kaji's head, warning him that his normally vast perosnal space bubble had been brutally popped. Not at all amused with Jamie's current antics, the other redhead tried to pry himself free of the tight hug. However, the elder Ookami was somewhat bigger than Kaji and thus, his twiggy little arms did not good in securing his freedom. Plus, all the alcohol in his system was making it hard to use any of his limbs to their full potential.
"Get off of me, idiot," Kaji slurred sourly. It took him a minute to realize that the blush was back, warm and glowing in all its tomato-y brilliance. This was exactly why the Ookami didn't like peole touching him.

Jamie giggled drunkenly (though he wasn't quite so drunk that he didn't have to fake them at least a little to get them that way). "Nyyyyyuuuup~!" Jamie laughed out. "Ya gotta say 'please'~!" He sang out, half-nuzzling the younger ookami. Dear lord he was adorable when he blushed.

"You're the one who invaded my personal space. You don't get a fucking please!" Kaji managed to wriggle one arm free of the other redhead's death-hug, although the other remained pinned to his side. The Ookami tried to use his free hand to make a weak attempt at dislodging the side of Jamie's face from his own. However, like everything else, it didn't work. "Get... off," he growled under his breath. In a way he sort of resembled a cat trying to get out of a bath; vastly uncomfortable and waiting for a chance to run for it.

Jamie just giggled, loosening his grip only a little. "C'mon~ Just one lil word~" He sang out, noting as Freed rolled his eyes at the redheads antics. Obviously the bartender was used to this after seeing it happen so many times.

There was at least a good two minutes of struggling before Kaji finally gave up, shoulders slumping in defeat. There was a deep scowl on his face and great irritation in his eyes. It killed him to do this, it really did... but it seemed he had no choice. The Ookami's need to preserve his personal space was greater than the need to preserve his pride.
"Would... you... please... let go of me?" His voice was a barely audible growl, but the please was there.

Jamie chuckled and relinquished his hold on the other redhead as he finished the phrase. "See what happens when you're not so prickly?" He had to admit though, the prickliness had a charm in and of itself. Strange, he never thought himself to be a masochist... except for that one time with that one girl, but that was a one-time thing only.

Prickly, huh? Kaji supposed that was a good way to describe him. It was certainly one of the nicer terms he'd had heard. People had called him much worse, both behind his back and to his face. Though the Ookami greatly preferred the latter. Then he could try to break some faces. Even if he always lost fights.
Always.
"This is pretty much how I am." Kaji shrugged, noting the sudden death of his blush with a great deal of satisfaction.

Jamie shrugged. "Ah well, yer cuter this way." Even after only spending perhaps an hour with the younger man Jamie couldn't think of him being anything other than prickly but cute. "Though it makes me wonder why ya got that way. Bad folks?" He prodded verbally, trying to loosen some chunks of information from Kaji in his inebriated state. It was always easier than trying to do it when people were sober. He had had some very good heart-to-hearts with total strangers before thanks to it.
Some guy named Egil had been the funnest one though. Poor guy had talked for AGES, speech intermixed with what the redhead could only assume were foreign expletives, and then passed out in a puddle of beer. Good times.

"Um..." Kaji turned his head away for a moment, hiding the breif flas of pain in his eyes. He wasn't going to talk about how he had never known his father, or his mother's suicide. There was no amount of alcohol in the world that could make him do that. His aunt and uncle were a safe bet, if it came down to it. They raised him for the majority of his life... if one could really call it "raising." But he wouldn't say anything about that either. At least, not now.
"Not exactly... I mean, they're alright." Another shrug. "I dunno, 've always been like this from what I can remember." That much was true. The Ookami could barely recall a time when he wasn't moody. Maybe when his mother was still sane... but that had been more than ten years ago.

Jamie whistled. "Wow... I thought everyone changed over time." He downed the rest of his final drink before speaking again. "Me grandad died when I was fifteen," He tried to explain. "I was a lot different when I was a kid, not at all like I am now." He had actually had been more serious as a child, and the thought of a one-night-stand had never crossed his mind until after James Tyler Phoenix had passed away in his sleep. Jamie's brow furrowed, as if he was looking hard for the right words but they just weren't coming to him.

Kaji was silent for a moment. He didn't know how people could do that; give out information so easily. There usually had to be a relationship built on years and years of trust before the Ookami let anyone in. Which, needless to say, didn't happen often. People didn't exactly have a habit of sticking around.
"Maybe I was different. I don't really remember. I just know my family has always known me as the moody one." Then again, anyone looked that way when placed next to Yuna. His darling cousin, the picture of perfect. He both loved and loathed her for it. "Not that they were all that fantastic. Well, most of 'em 'nyway."

Jamie tilted his head to the side. "So there's a'least SOMEONE ya can stand outta 'em?" He prodded gently, nodding. "S'good." Well, if he was right, that was. For some reason Jamie's semi-inebriated mind found the idea of Kaji being a master of double talk to be a very realistic thought.

"There are one 'r two," the redhead half-mumbled. Though he really couldn't think of anyone besides his cousin; the dislike in his family seemed relatively mutual. But saying there was only one was just begging for someone to ask for specifics. It wasn't that Kaji was uncomfortable with talking about Yuna, there was nothing to hide there, but he didn't like giving away retake about himself as a general rule.

Jamie decided to leave that topic where it lay and move onto a newer one, families could be VERY touchy subjects. It had only been recently that Jamie had started asking people about them, apparently that was something that happened in Japan, hadn't happened quite as often back in Ireland. "So what're ya studyin' again?" He asked, school was generally a less-loaded topic that familial relations.

"I'm a fine arts major," the redhead answered nonchalantly. It was nothing too impressive, although it seemed there weren't all that many people in the clans who even finished high school. Most of the people he knew dropped out as soon as they were drafted. Regardless, he was happy for the change of subject- school was a much easier thin to talk about without giving anything significant about himself away.
